My hot water heater went out in my Mom's home, I was at my wit's end! I remembered Speed Plumbing as I have used years ago. I was relieved that this family business that has been around from the 60's was still thriving. When I called I was greeted by a sweet, calming and professional voice that was reassuring. The work (installation of a new water heater) was outstanding and completed in a short time! I will truly recommend Speed Plumbing 2000 for your plumbing needs!

We had a clogged sewer line,a complete mess in the front flowerbeds.This company was recommended by a neighbor and came took care of my sewage issue and a couple of under the house and sink pipe problems. I have been under my place a few times and I'm skinny,plus digging a 9 foot trench ,replacing an old sewer line Speed Plumbing earned their money.

I wish I could give more stars Lee is an amazing individual, I contacted his company through yelp he came right away we had a pipe burst underground Lee got right to work on it without hesitation to quickly repair our issue, our cement had to be broken up in order to locate the source of the problem once it was located and the pipe was repaired Lee repaired the cement ( which had color) and matched it back perfectly Lee is now our go to plumber for our Home owners association. Thank you Lee for being on time and informative and professional.

Well, might be on speed but nothing like speed plumbing. Hold on the bell just rang....I'm back, guess what? It wasn't them. The water is up to my waist now... If someone wanted to hide a fish/human hybrid (like in that Guillermo del Toro movie), I've got a bedroom in my two-bedroom apartment ;)

(Edit 1) Sorry, found a roommate on craigslist. Still waiting for the plumber.

(Edit 2) So, the fish/human hybrid didn't survive... so...the room is available again!!! :)

Absolutely terrible. They didnt show up to an appointment ( that they never called to cancel, I had to call them to see why), when I called they offered no explanation at all. 2 days later they finally show up hours late to the appointment they set. Did nothing and left. When questioned about it I was given nothing but threats and attitude. Yes threats to "" show up there and handle this like a man"". Guess what, men handle the job given to them not back out of their responsibilities and try to thug their way out of guilt. Boycott, contact the bbb, do not spend your money here. Let's as a community put this poor excuse for a black owned business out of business. It's making us look bad.

Don't call these guys for a broken hot water heater unless you want to pay for a brand new one!

The day I moved into my new condo the gas company told me there was a problem with my hot water heater and the pilot light wouldn't stay lit. The handyman my Realtor suggested looked at the photos we sent him and said it should be a quick fix and thought he knew the part that needed to be replaced. Unfortunately, he was busy and couldn't come out the same day, so we called these guys instead. The plumber, Lee, before he even took a look said it'd probably need to be replaced for around $1300, but I should probably get a bigger water heater, so maybe $1800. He took 2 minutes to confirm what the gas company guy said, charged $95 and said he'd get back to me with a quote. When asked about replacing just the broken part he said he couldn't figure out who the manufacturer was, that they didn't have that sort of thing at Home Depot anyway, that it would probably take a long time to figure out what to order and to get it shipped, that it'd be faster just to replace the heater. Later I looked on the heater and the manufacturer was Rheem, a quick web search showed me the part that is almost always responsible for this problem, and the local Home Depot did, in fact, have the thermocouple for it in stock. When I still hadn't heard back from them by the next afternoon (after a cold morning shower), I called and got a message relayed from Lee that it was going to take him some more time to research a part online and maybe he'd get to it tonight or tomorrow, they couldn't really tell me when I'd be getting a quote. At this point, I contacted the handyman again and he came over and replaced the part and within 20 minutes had my hot water heater running again and charged me $150. So basically Lee and the company were playing me for a sucker to get more money, no doubt because I'm a single woman who was exhausted from the move and needed an emergency repair.

So, call my new favorite handyman Freddy instead: (213) 407-7959.

Just awful. I called them to fix a plugged main line. They came to the house.I have a large event today. 80 people arriving. Backed up plumbing and two toilets blocked. They came and saw the issue and then left the house without telling my contact person at the house. The fact they would leave me hanging and the plumber would just take off without saying anything is unbelievably unprofessional.

I was very impressed with this company. The Plumber that came to my home was Greg, he was on time and he explained what he found to be the problem with my shower and my toilet. He did not make me feel pressured to accept his recommendation and he actually saved me some money when he fixed my shower and told me to take back a new shower head I had purchased. The only thing I would have liked is that the service was a little less pricey but hey you get what you pay for. I will definitely use this company again.

Had bathroom sink stopped up. Landlord appointed to have Kenny come out Saturday morning. Came out on-time, inserted his driller, probed skillfully, and in no time my sink was draining 100%. Great job! Good price too.
