Do yourself a favor and get a second opinion and bid on any work you think you might need to have done. I sure wish we had. This company will tell you need repairs that may or not need to be done and then greatly over charge for the work. Beware.

Stuff went bad with our well pump system where we had no water, and it happened Friday night after everybody was closed to call for help. Called multiple places leaving messages. One of our local companies called on their day off and said they can't get to us soon, but these guys are great. So we called these guys. they came out early Saturday and not only did they give us great options to fix it, but they also gave us the option to updated our whole system. we went with that option and they did it same day. they were very friendly and talk to us through how our system works and what to do if little things go wrong. I definitely recommend them to anybody for any kind of well or plumbing or electrical services. The owner and an intern/journeyman were the ones that came out. Very kind courteous respectful and very informative. Recommend them to anybody!

Thomas & Dan came out after a big storm to check out a ""no water"" problem at our house. They diagnosed a tripped breaker, fixed the problem and offered suggestions on ways to improve our system. They were professional, knowledgeable, and not pushy or rude. Will use Specialty Pump and Well again because of the people they hire and excellent service

We've had a couple of terrible interactions with Specialty Pump & Well. Last year they replaced a circuit panel for our pump, it failed a year later and they blamed it on the lightning. They stated they would appeal to the manufacturer to get it warrantied but never got back with us, wouldn't respond to repeated attempts to follow up. So now we're at 2 panels for $10k+. That didn't fix the problem so they came back and extracted all the casing out of our well without our approval for what was supposed to be a non-invasive trouble-shooting visit. At this point we had enough and went with a competitor who actually fixed the problem and let us know that it was a mistake how they handled the panel replacement and even the unit they chose. We were talking with Specialty about the $2k invoice they sent us for the casing removal, and they immediately sent us to collections, had a lien put on our house behind our backs a couple of months after the original invoice was sent out even though we were actively discussing the charges with them. Their back office administration is a complete joke as well by the way. I really feel like this company is dishonest.

My pump went out-- blown capacitor. After replacing the capacitor twice (and losing the magic smoke 2x), I called Specialty Pump & Well. Turns out my pump motor had effectively seized and was drawing 20A. I called for weekend service at 8 AM. By 12:30, Specialty had a team on site.

They diagnosed the 20A issue, let me know that I'd need a new pump and the rest. I spent some time talking with Toby and the apprentice with him. After asking them ""what else can we do today to make this less likely?"", they mentioned a few changes that would be gentler on the pump and give the well a longer life before the next incident.

The recommendation was perfect-- the new SubDrive controller is much gentler on the system and allows my water tank to fill faster (12 hours instead of 36-48 for 300 gallons).

They also took time to explain what they were doing and why. This happened mostly because I was curious and they were able to teach.

As an added bonus, their repair truck is loaded with a variety of pumps and other equipment you may need. This means that you won't wind up with a ""too big"" or ""too small"" pump just to get the repair done. Too big and you'll burn it out early (my last pump suffered this fate). Too small and I guess it's just a bad day.

A word of warning: pricing for this work is all rolled up in the parts. When they present you with a $2900 well pump which you know only costs $700, understand that they are including the labor and materials to install as well. For example, the pump is dropped into the well using a crane attached to a $170K truck. The hourly rates are higher for the team because they have to be licensed as an electrician and as a plumber.

Great work all around. I'll recommend them again and again.

These people are the Pros. I have had them service my well throughout the years and they've been incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. I had them out today to replace the old pump in my well, the tank, and all the plumbing that comes along with the job. John Warner and his Assistant, Josh, were great. They were able to fit me in a day sooner than originally scheduled for a job that lasted nearly a whole workday. They got started before I was able to arrive home and things went smoothly through it all. I watched as they removed 175 ft of old galvanised piping and pump and replaced it with modern plastic piping and a shiny new pump. They were careful while taking the skylight off my well house roof, swinging the pieces of pipe out with their truck and boom, and putting the new plastic pipes into place. Well and pump technology has improved over the years! They knew exactly what they were doing and came prepared for anything they might encounter. John knows all the rules and regulations that govern proper well installs and answered all my questions (and then some!). They worked like a well-oiled machine and my water was restored! I will use them when I have my furnace replaced. Wow. THESE are the folks you want to work on your pump & well and, I'll trust, furnaces. Thank you John and Josh!

Customer service and technician were awesome and friendly. The ONLY company that would come out today to get our water running. the only reason I didn't give them five stars is for their pricing. They kinda have you over a barrel and they know it. I was told $219 service call that would be applied to repairs if needed. They trouble shot our system in less than 10 minutes...the technician,JB, knows his stuff! The part, retail $60 part was billed at $389...whoa! That alone should've been enough compensation...But on a Saturday we couldn't find it anywhere so we paid it....also they didn't apply the $219 so all said and done, was about $650. I disputed the $219 but I was told to call the office. Definitely would use them over and over again ...if not for price. If I had the money to spare.....this would be first choice. Thank you JB!

If you have an emergency expect to get price gouged by Specialty Pump and Well. With a very cold 3 degree outside temperature which froze my well pump. I expressed it was an emergency when running a commercial equestrian center with 60 horses and no water. Horses drink 10+ gallons per day and 24 hours no water would kill them. I was told they couldn't come for at least 24 hours and to expect a minimum $389 and $500 if related to freeze. Of course it was related to Freeze! Why the gouging? The roads were perfectly clear and dry. I called a plumber instead. The unused valve that had a crack was $1 to cap. The emergency call was $150 for his time and efforts. If you have emergency call a plumber or a well company that responds when lives are at stake.

Please do not believe anything these liars tell you. They prey upon your fear of not having water for your family needs and gouge without mercy. In our case, besides being about 50% over- priced, according to other sources who demonstrated much much more integrity, these pickpockets lied, claiming our well was dry, when all we needed was a minor adjustment on their overpriced equipment. And they charged for evil deed as a visit too. I am trying to organize a class action lawsuit against them as I write this.

I think this is a great company, and they did a good job assessing my pump issue. I called places that were closer by, but no one called me back. This company was very responsive and professional, and they were able to come out promptly. I will use them again.
