Long story short, my AC went out, guys were replacing it and the pipes needed to be blown out in the tub their machine didn't have enough pressure so I had to call a plumber they came in short notice which is awesome, they charged a LOT less for the first hour than any plumbers I called and they worked well with me and the AC crew open communication answered questions about future reno's I might want. In total Awesome couldn't have asked for more.

Called Speake's after toilet overflow off the kitchen. At first the service went well and they discovered that a line needed to be replaced and recommended DeLong Services to find the rotted line and remove. DeLong did a great job although the cost was well over 2k. However after that was completed, Speakes took 4 days to come back out and replace the pipe and snake the drain to ensure all problems were solved. One week later... overflowing toilet yet again. Called Speake's but was told they did everything correctly and that we must have clogged the drain again. They offered to return and provide an estimate for additional repairs even though I had already paid $850 for the previous repair services. Also, please understand that my family of 7 had not used the washer or the toilet in over two months and only used the sink by manually emptying the water. Nothing had been in the drain!!! Called Winter's Plumbing we came and cleared the drain within 2 hours and two months later, thankfully no more issues. I don't know if Speake's is using different employees but my service left alot to be desired.

I had a problem with the main line from the backside of the house. Several plumbers had come over the years and had done a temporary fix. I called Speake's because of their 5 star rating. Two very nice young men came out and went under the house. They snaked three places from the roof and two clean out valves in the front. All clear and all cheaper than the price quoted by the last plumber for just ONE pipe on the roof.
These guys rock! They knew their stuff. Only problem is that I can't adopt them. But, I now have my "forever plumbers."

Simply put - Speake's is the only plumber/plumbing service I will ever use. I have 3 rentals and 1 personal property and they have done excellent work on all of them. As previous reveiws have stated - they are fair and honest, above reproach. I had to use an emergency plumber on a Saturday night one time, they tried to sell me on a 3k job. I waited til Monday, Speake's ran a camera - fixed it for good - $300.....I have passed thme onto my frieds and all have had similar postive experiences. If you live in the Garland/Richardson/Plano/EastDallas/LakeHighlands area-ish - use Speake's....

I called because my shower diverter (thing that switches from tub to shower) had quit. I also had some longstanding problems from the previous owners. Fixed the shower as best it could be fixed (the previous owner had used super glue) & told us that further repairs would take going through the wall, asking if we wanted to tackle that now or not. We didn't. The previous owners had clogged the bathroom sinks with all manner of junk, they vacuumed that out & the sinks work great. Probably the most notable service was the one they suggested I didn't need. Our laundry machine drain vents into the attic, instead of all the way through it to the roof. I asked for them to extend it through. They said that since it's been that way for a while and they didn't see any evidence of mold, they didn't think it was necessary right now. I didn't get it done, but I will call them in the future.

My mom was doing a load of laundry a few days back and as the washer drained it backed up into the tub. She initially called another plumber who shall go unnamed. They ran a snake through the pipes and couple times to the tune $200 each time didn't tell her what was wrong and needed to be fixed wither time. They they wanted to dig up the yard and replace all the pipe down to the city line as a cost of $2k. I smelled a scam and had my mom call Speakes Speakes is what all business in the service trades should strive to be, fair and honest. They sent someone out to my moms within and hour or two. Not only were they able to find the problem, but they fixed in in less than an hour and the whole thing only cost $140. I could not possible say enough positive things about this company.

They are and honest and knowledgeable local business and they get the job done right.
