10/4/24: My ten year old water heater gave out and I called Speake's Plumbing and spoke with Travis. I explained what happened and he explained the costs to remove and replace the water heater. I was fortunate enough that Travis was able to arrange for a crew to come out within the hour. Thomas and Trevor were awesome. After a minor mishap, in which the City Of Garland had to come out (inside of an hour) and replace the main shut off valve, the water heater replacement went great. Although the water heater was located in the attic, Thomas and Trevor were very professional and friendly throughout the process. Thomas even installed a hot and cold water shut off to the water heater. I have recommended Speake's Plumbing to anyone needing quality plumbing work done, as they were recommended to me years ago. I am extremely satisfied with the work Thomas and Trevor did. They were timely, efficient, laid down floor covering. and most important of all, respectful.

06/30/2023 this is the 3rd or 4th time we have done business with Speake's Plumbing. Didn't have problems before. They did their jobs and we paid right away, never bargained, or complained about the charges. So not sure why I'm called "cheap ass" by their employee Garlan, and why my being "oriental" has anything to do with it. I have talked to Rusty Speake, supposedly the owner's nephew, maybe 3 or 4 times on the phone since 2020 to schedule appointments. Never had any issues. So not sure why he "can't stand her", by "her" he meant me. I will never do business with them again simply because they are very unprofessional, talking horribly about their paying customers, and frankly Garlan's comment sounds racial to me. The picture of their texts was obtained with full consent from Garlan while he was holding his phone. Speake's couldn't fix our plumbing issue, so they referred another business, Family Ties. Garlan asked me to take a picture of his texts. So here it is. I hope when you do business with them you will get the respect you deserve, the respect I did not get. Good luck to you all!

Speakes was recommended to me by a friend. I called the company, first thing Monday, June 12 to schedule an appointment. Rusty answered the phone. He was helpful in answering my questions and setting up the service call. He told me it would be between 10-2 today. About 9 AM, he called and said the plumber was on the way. Quincy arrived about 9:20. He arrived and we talked about the dead disposal. He said I had a couple of options and left it to me to decide. No pressure whatsoever. I decided to have a new one installed and he started to work right away. Within the hour, he was finished. He double checked to be sure it ran correctly. There was no mess or debris left. Quincy was very professional and courteous. I highly recommend Speakes to anyone needing a first rate quality company.

This extortionist extraordinaire lost a repeat customer. Set timer when our plumber Garland arrived for the repair. 56 minutes 22 seconds start to finish. Charged me 1.5 hours and complained because my toilet is on the second floor. Do yourself a favor chose any other plumber. I expect some kind of reply, and if they actually do something to account for the horrible service exper I will modify this post, if I do not say anything you know it is bologn. Best of luck finding a honest plumber.
