Called yesterday and talked to rep right away. I asked a lot of thorough questions with dispatch rep. Made an emphasis on wanting to know exactly how the initial consultation inspection worked. Specifically asking if they come prepared to do the job and lift the create slab where the leak is suspected to be coming from. The initial service fee is 50$. I know that's not a lot of money to many but when you know you're gonna be throwing thousands in to do a project and you have to have multiple people give you a quote... fees add up.
Anyway, we asked a lot of specific questions before having them send someone out because we didn't want them to arrive and point out the obvious.
Today a man came to inspect and although he was very friendly he did exactly what we were trying to avoid. He said we have someone come out and detect exactly where the leak is coming from before we can repair the line. This is extremely frustrating after being very specific with the phone rep and trying to avoid a pointless appointment and fee.
To be clear we had no work done and the actual plumber was kind, the issue is the dispatch team/phone rep. We were misled and feel ultimately scammed out of $50.
Karin C.I am posting this for my friend. She lives in a manufactured home and had several plumbing issues. Her home was built in 1970 which is not a problem it just had some issues with the plumbing. The first time she had a clogged line so she called a plumber and that plumber was unable to find the issue. So she called Spartan to come out they used an inspection Camano found a large clog near the rear of her home. Ok she is happy the drain works great for 2 years. Ok now the present as of Oct 2022 she has a drain problem so she calls Spartan out again to help. Ok this time around they realize there is an issue in the same area so they dig deeper into the problem ok the issue is that her home has no grade to the pipes so no gravity to help drain the pipes. Ok she is on a tight budget so she ask around to ask if there is other plumber that might be cheaper to fix the issue. She soon learned that it was a very expensive fix and Spartan was very reasonable price. She now has a beautiful graded drain pipe. And a warranty so she feels good about the fix. And yes we would recommend Spartan plumbing to everyone.
Spartan used to be my go to provider.
Until the last service on June 2022. I called them out for a clogged sewer line. They scoped the line and informed me that roots were in the pipe. They recommended jetting to clear the line. Sounds good, since my previous service calls were great. I approved the work. They did their jet magic and everything was flowing. Roots gone they said. They even sent a video of the work. Yay.
A week later we had another sewer backup issue. Called them up, but they weren't able to come out until the following week.
Had to call another provider (let's call them Provider B) that could look into it sooner. Provider B ran a scope and informed me that roots were in the line! What! Everything was backed up and it had to be fixed. I approved another jetting by Provider B. I watched them clear the line of 3-4 additional root bundles that penetrated the sewer line. All was clear and they even ran the camera from the house to the town's main sewer line to show me it was clear and flowing. Provider B saves the day! (Of course I'm out $$$ due to the additional service call to Provider B!)
I reached out to Spartan via email and phone to inform them that I had to call Provider B to fix their (Spartan's) work. They did not respond to my email and calls. And I'm out more $$$. That's why I revoke my 5 star recommendation and drop it down to 2 stars for Spartan.
Figured I'd share my experience. Moving on...
Cari J.Eric from Spartan Plumbing came out and was able to give us an estimate. Eric went and picked up the parts we needed had everything installed quickly. He made sure everything was working and completed. Eric is very professional and dedicated to his job. You can tell he takes pride in his job and great customer service.
Thank you Eric for getting us back up and running
We appreciate you and everything you had done for us !!
Keep you hands on your wallet. Spartan Plumbing Services charged me over $4300(with tax) for 90 minutes work(the bid was for 2 guys working for 8 hours, in what was claimed to be a difficult job), and there was was still a leak when they were done. In response to my inquiry as to the break down in costs, Spartan claimed ""they bid the job,"" which supposedly protects the customer from any time overruns. The owner did offer to lower the price to $3000(before tax). In over 40years of home ownership and remodels, I've never had an experience like this with any company. Make sure you fully understand what you're being charged for, and absolutely get other bids.
There was a problem with the online booking, but when I called Samantha remedied this right away. With no notice, Jeff and Christian came out in 20 minutes and assessed my sink. They replaced it with something as comparable as we could get and it looks great. They did an excellent job and had great service. I will definitely be using them again in the future!
Excellent service, reasonable rates, and friendly, knowledgeable staff. Will definitely use this company again!
Christopher M.Spartan plumbing knows when they have you in a hopeless situation and they extort this to the maximum. I will not bad about their plumbers, but when their plumbers can't give you an hourly rate because they are not allowed to, I know I'm being fleeced. Having a pipe freeze and break in winter is bad enough. To have the plumber come out and price gouge you because thet know you don't have much of a choice is just plain evil.
You can tell a lot about a company by what they do when things go wrong.
My water filtration system had a bunch of issues. When things went wrong, Spartan worked hard to make things right.
I appreciate companies that stand behind their work!
Laura H.I woke up early this morning to a leaking faucet in our kitchen. There was water everywhere. Spartan sent Josh out quickly. He was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He stopped the leak and replaced my faucet in time for me to get my daughter to her doctor appointment. I was very pleased with my service and I will continue going to them if I have plumbing needs in the future.
