In July of 2024 Val did some extensive plumbing work on my Apple Valley rental townhouse. Among other things was a small drip from the water pipe leading out of the wall to the downstairs bathroom vanity. He wanted in excess of $300 to re-plumb everything under the sink. I actually had a part that would do it for a fraction of the cost. He wasn't interested in talking about the alternative and became agitated and he then told me ""when I get serious"" he'd come back and do the work. He then turned and walked out. I had a $9 part and did the work myself. It was a minor thing and very simple to fix with no leaks since. Certainly not worth ripping everything else with an expensive repair.
That's not why I'm adding this review now. Val re-set an upstairs toilet at that time with new waxing, silicone, collar repair, etc. And now 10 months later it's leaking again. I called him today to ask about his warranty and he asked why would I call him considering his walking out on me last year. I indicated it had nothing to do with the repair he didn't do, but with the repair hi did do. He suggested reasons why it might be leaking but was not interested in coming back out. He continued to want to talk about the repair he didn't do. We were getting nowhere. End of call. Back in July and even today, I was mild-mannered, no terse words, just asking about whether or not he would warrant his previous work.
Val seems like a nice guy but I will never have him back to my properties and could never recommend him to anyone I know.

My water heater broke over the weekend and they were here in under and hour. Did excellent work, installed new appliance same day and explained everything to me. Will be contactefor future needs and recommending to family /friends!

I reached out to Val to help my parents that were dealing with a leaking toilet. He came out promptly, found and pointed out the crack that was causing the issue and replaced the toilet and handled the problem. The costs to fix the problem was upfront and worth every penny. It was a Sunday morning and we had tried calling several services in the area and no one was answering. We widened the search and found Sparrow Plumbing out of Apple Valley. They answered right away. Our plumbing main was backed up and all drains were backing up in the house. He said he would be here in 30 minutes. Upon arrival he assess the situation, put down carpet runners to protect, and brought in his smaller system. That didn't work so he brought in the larger system and within 1.5hrs of arriving, he had it all flowing. He did a great job cleaning up afterwards. Great service, great pricing and especially appreciate that he came out on a Sunday and so quickly!

Overpriced and unprofessional. Quite frankly I'm astonished at the lack of professionalism displayed today. We called him for an emergency several weeks ago and he was able to help (at a premium price of course, because it was 6pm and after hours). He also gave us a quote for several things we knew we'd need to do. It was extremely overpriced and we ended up being able to find friends to help us for free with a lot of it, but there were a few things left we knew we'd need a plumber to do. We're having other work done at the same time so the water main was unfortunately not accessible. I did not realize that he would need to access the water main to unclog a drain tub. I still don't see why he would need to do that. I was putting the baby down for a nap when he arrived, but left the door open with a sign for him to come on in. He does not give you an arrival time until 30 minutes prior so there wasn't much notice. Instead of calling me when he thought there was a problem, he interrupts my husband who works from home, and is clearly in the middle of a virtual patient care visit. He throws a hissy fit tantrum that rivals my 2 year olds, and storms out yelling about how he's seen ""red flag after red flag and you can find yourself a new plumber!"" I'm not sure if the red flags he's thinking of are the fact that we didn't have the money to waste on his 4-5k ""quote"" (the most expensive one we got of the 3 plumbers we had out too). I have had a lot of contractors working on our houses and have never encountered this level of unprofessionalism. Ever. Do NOT recommend.

We had a house built and moved in just over two years ago, the kitchen faucet has dripped since the beginning. The builder had their plumber come out and we were told that there wasn't anything they would do for us, that just the way that Delta faucet is.
Frustrated with this issue we decided this was enough dealing with the issue. So, we started looking for a local plumber and found Sparrow Plumbing, through Yelp. All of his reviews were excellent so, gave him a call and he came right out. Told him about our issue, and he said he could replace a part in the faucet or, install a new faucet, whichever we wanted. Hmmm why couldn't the builder's plumber do that?? We chose to go with the part replacement and even gave us a warranty. So, if we had the same issue in the near future, he would replace it with a new faucet and credit us for today's charges. Wow, what an honest guy! He was very pleasant to work with as well. He will be our plumber going forward and will recommend him to all of our family and friends. Thanks so much Val!

Called Al at Sparrow on Saturday morning with a self made problem. Started to install a water softener and got in over my head. He answered the call and worked us into his schedule. Came to our home that morning and got running water again. Returned later that afternoon to install the soft water softener. It couldn't have been easier on us. No price gouging. Just one weekend fee even though he had to make two trips to work us into his schedule that day.

Not a word on my lack of skills that lead to this mess. He was very professional and did a great job. Very pleased,

Val saved the weekend ! I was going to wait till Monday to find a plumber for a backed up main drain, but when I pulled up plumbers on line his said 'OPEN' at 4:30 Saturday afternoon. Called and He was out in 20 minutes. Now we can 'flush' again worry free.
Great, friendly, informative guy. Will use again when the need arises. Highly recommend.

I engaged Sparrow Plumbing for a bathroom remodel job that I had and I had a short time window to get it done by. Val came out and gave me an estimate for the job and a time table in which he could complete the work. While he was higher priced than other bids he was also able to get the job done right away. After deciding to go with him and his acknowledgment of accepting the job and when he would once again complete the work he turned around cancelled on me later stated it was to much work for him and he doesn't have any interest in doing the job now. This now is going to further delay my job by 2 weeks where if he was up front with me at the beginning I would of been able to schedule with another provider.

I'm extremely impressed with the timing and communication Val provided us during our plumbing ""emergency"". A friend recommended Sparrow Plumbing as our regular plumber was days out. Val answered the phone, now we know that never happens! You either get a voicemail or a message that their mailbox is full. I explained the challenges we were having in our kitchen. Val calmed my nerves and put my frustrations to rest when he said he could be out the same afternoon. Val assessed our plumbing issue, called me to inform me of his finding, stated the cost and also informed me of the possible risks with the ABS piping. Val completed the work without incident, collected payment, emailed me a receipt and the rest of our day was joyful due to resolving our kitchen interruption. I would ""HIGHLY"" recommend his services to anyone.
