Amy D.I scheduled an appointment with a time range of 9am-1pm however no one showed up. When I called to inquire, I left a message and received no response. I received a call at 5:30 pm from a service technician saying he was on the way to my house however I was at work. When I got home from work the following morning, there was a Sparks Monroe sticker on my door. I called as soon as they opened the following day and they said they were aware no one had arrived at the promised time due to no-heat emergencies. Though I was unhappy, I understood as the weather had been terrible, but they said they would call me back with a reschedule time ASAP. Several hours later, I received a call from a service technician who was at my front door wondering where I was. I explained that no one from his company had called to reschedule so I didn't know he was coming. I asked him to wait 15 minutes so I could leave work and come let him in. He hesitated and had to call his supervisor but did end up waiting. Just when I thought everything was fine......it got worse. I told him I selected Sparks Monroe because I had a $40 off service coupon but because I didn't print it, he wouldn't honor it, even after speaking to his supervisor because it's company policy to have it printed. I explained how they had already delivered poor customer service but I was still charged full price, despite showing him the coupon online and offering to email or text it for proof (my printer was not working).
Now, I sit here writing this review, still waiting for them to call me back to let me know if they will honor the coupon. I will never use this company again and wish I had read the previous poor reviews before selecting them. Crooks!
This company has defaced my basemant with stickers damaged my furnace and installed wrong part that nearly blew up my house owner was on call and apeared very agitated and rushed in call not very good at repairing unit and rude as hell they are crooks of the first order beware very aware stay away

Bought a Groupon they would NOT honor. It was a $100 value, and I needed some help with my furnace. They said it was a maintenance voucher and could not be used for work. I inquired about the price and when I learned that the price was higher than others, I told them I was inclined to go somewhere else where it was little cheaper. The guy said he was glad and ""never to call me again.""
You got it dude.
I called in September to schedule a chimney cleaning and was given a date in November. On that day they called to cancel and reschedule. They then failed to show up on the rescheduled date. It seems that unless you have an emergency this company is not reliable and their customer service is awful. Do yourselves a favor and don't even bother with them.
I called on Sparks Monroe to come clean my wood stove flue. They provided excellent service and were very courteous. I would definitely hire them again.
Sandor B.I gave this company an invitation to save face after installing a new boiler in my home on 11/02/17. They failed. I was told that I would receive a call the next day to see how the system was operating - no call. The weekend passed and there was no heat in my living room and there was a small drip from the piping. After numerous calls for service I finally see a technician on 11/09/17 and was told that there would be another $200 charge to fix the problem - which was the removal of two zone valves that were not necessary ( I was never advised of that fact). After paying $5900 for the boiler with the assurance that the price included everything I find this very unprofessional and unethical. I also do not expect a return call after my proposal that they do the repair pro bono in order to keep my business. I cannot recommend this company.
On 11/16/2017, I had a technician from Isaac stop in (with no service charge) and give me the information that was needed to repair the shoddy work done by Sparks and fixed it myself for $59 in about 10 minutes. He advised me that Sparks was once with the Isaac team but were fired.
Let my mistake be a warning to all.
Kathy J.They are the worst company to deal with. I would not recommend them at all. I made an appointment with them for a chimney cleaning and they charged me and extra $43 when they got here because I have an insert, I said fine. Well all the ""kid"" did was open the door and look inside. That was worth $43 extra?? NO I said well aren't you going to pull it out and clean all the creosote out? He said no, it will burn off. Well, the first time I went to burn a fire all I got was smoke (Into the house). So, I called them several times, never returned my call, it wasn't until I saw the owner at my work and I told him the story that they finally called me back to make an appointment. Well, the day before the second appointment I called to ask them if they could possibly make me closer to the 12 (of my 12-5 window) as I had to be at work at 5. They called and left me a message that they had to cancel my appointment and they never called back again.
Go with someone else more reputable, and reliable. NEVER again will I call them.
Stay away from these crooks. Our furnace was working fine, but it had been a few years since we had it inspected, so we made the mistake of calling Sparks Monroe when we got their coupon in the mail. The so-called technician banged around in our basement for a few minutes and then told us that we needed to replace the inducer motor ASAP. This would cost us more than $500 for the part plus labor. (I searched for the part online and couldn't find anything priced more than $150 at retail, so that should give you an idea of their pricing.) This sounded suspicious to me so I called a much more reputable HVAC company to inspect the same unit, and sure enough, they confirmed that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the inducer motor. This sleazy Sparks con man also slapped a large sticker on the furnace which reads ""installed by Sparks Monroe,"" which of course is not true, and he slapped another copy of the same ridiculous sticker on the air duct in an attempt to cover their competitor's phone number. This also completely covered up over the maintenance log which we had been using to keep track of repairs since the unit was installed in 2005. But Mr. Sticker Vandal didn't stop there... he stuck a THIRD copy of the same obnoxious sticker on our water heater which he was not even there to inspect and which he had no authority to even mess with. Do you know what it says on these three stickers? ""100% customer satisfaction is our #1 priority."" But that is another blatant lie, since they did not even respond to my complaints. Learn from my mistake and avoid Sparks at all costs. There are plenty of other more qualified and honest businesses in the area.

I contracted Sparks Monroe Heating & Chimney Company to clean my chimney in May 2017. While doing that work it was discovered that a new flue and crown were needed, and those two items were installed. Shortly after the work was completed water began to leak down the living room wall above the fireplace causing the paint to bubble. Since I did not have a leak in the roof or around the chimney before the work was done, I contacted the Company. The office manager took the information and said that the owner of company would get back in touch about my concern. I contacted them on several occasions over the period of a month because no one returned my call. The problem with my wall continued to worsen on the wall, in the fireplace and on floor. Finally, after insisting that someone address this issue, the owner of the company came out to assess the situation. He appeared to be agitated and was confrontational about being contacted. He offered a few suggestions about what the problem might be but, to my knowledge he did not go on the roof to assess it. He appeared to get more agitated as my concern about the damage in the house and his lack of attention to my calls were discussed. He then left abruptly and offered no assistance for helping solve the issue. At first, I thought that the owners son from this company did a good job, but as time went on I realized that I was mistaken. The water leak has caused much damage in the house, damage that was not there before this Sparks Monroe Company was involved. Sparks Monroe Heating & Chimney 2014 Ridge Rd. Ontario NY, does not appear to guarantee their work. I would not recommend this company.
Anna E.Horrible! I scheduled a chimney sweep with them and was told they only schedule for morning or afternoon appointment blocks. So I scheduled an afternoon appointment and had to take a half day off from work to wait for them to show up. They never showed up. I called an hour before the end of the appointment time block to make sure there wasn't a problem and I was told I would have to just wait until 5pm and then call back if no one showed up. Well, it turns out the person giving me this information was their answering service, not the actual office. They never identified that they weren't the actual office. I called the next day and actually spoke to a woman at the office. She said she didn't know why they didn't show up and that she is the only person that works in the office and she had not been at work on the day of my scheduled appointment. There was no apology, no explanation and I was told they still wouldn't be able to schedule a specific time for the appointment because that was inconvenient for them.
