Great experience with Sparkle Sewer & Drain. Larry is a little rough around the edges, but very friendly. They clear drains -- that's all they do, and they are good at it. After my husband and I had rented a snake from Home Depot and worked for an entire afternoon trying to clear our drain to no avail, my husband just wanted to call a plumber. I checked out Angie's List and Yelp and found Sparkle, which specialized in exactly what we needed. Called Larry up, worked out an appointment, and voila -- I can use my kitchen sink again! He was here for maybe 1/2 hour to 45 mins and the price was right ($285, which is lots less than a plumber).

Although and the owner was extremely friendly and personable I was charged $275 to clear a kitchen sink clog that took no more than 10 to 15 minutes. I was in tears after he left because it was just such a shocking amount of money. Just doesn't seem right to charge someone that much money. He unclogged my parents tub a couple weeks before and was at their house for an hour and a half and only charged $190. My parents nor myself will be using him again.

Sparkle came recommended by several neighbors. From the time I spoke with Sparkle to the time they snaked/unclogged my tub, less than 45 minutes had past. And it may have been closer to 30 minutes. He was personable, happened to be close by already, came by immediately (fortunately my wife was home to let him in), snaked the tub, and was on his way. It ended up being $195, which I think is a bit on the pricier end for 10-15 minutes worth of work but I can't really complain about the price when he came out immediately and resolved the issue--I was getting tired of standing in gross, soapy, stale water; other places I called weren't able to come until next week due to the heavy rains this week and other issues people have been having. I'd gladly call him for other plumbing needs.

Normally I handle of clogged drains in our house myself with a manual snake. But, with one of our bathroom basin drains it was beyond me. Sparkle came the next day. Larry and Anthony were on time, friendly and got the job done quickly. And more than willing to give me a few plumbing tips along the way. I recommend Sparkle

My laundry drain clogged, flooding my hallway. I have two small boys and do laundry about once a day so for me this was a plumbing emergency. I called Sparkle and they were at my house within an hour and had the drain cleared and cleaned up after themselves within an hour after that. The drain is in a horrible spot on a wall with only about 4 inches of clearance to a stacked washer and gas dryer but they got in there and snaked the drain all the way to the four-inch line so I'm pretty confident I won't have any more issues.The price tag wasn't horrible - 275 for two guys for an hour seems fair to me. I highly recommend these guys.

Another plumber spent four hours at my house trying to break through a clog in the pipe leading to the main sewer line. They left telling us that we were going to dig through the street, an expense not covered by insurance, to get to the clog. A neighbor suggested we call Sparks. In less than an hour, and at 40% of the price of the first plumber, they had broken through the clog. They saved us an expense of over $20,000. I cannot say enough good things about Sparks Drain Cleaning.

If only zero stars were possible. I tried to set up an appointment with them for a clogged sink. They scheduled me for the wrong day/time. I called to see if I was still on their schedule halfway through the time window as was told it was my fault. As others have said the owner is arrogant and rude and proceeded to tell me that not only had I never worked 7 days in my life (after I said I wasn't able to take off the next day they had incorrectly scheduled me for so needed a new day/time) but that I was full of BS when I said I wouldn't be available to be at home over the weekend for someone to come because I had to work.

Well, you get a double dose of personality when you call on Sparkle. Curmudgeonly one-eyed Larry and his long suffering apprentice reminded me of those comic duos in Shakespeare. They came out on short notice and cleaned out my drain for half what a plumber would charge, so that's good. Just remember, they do drains, they don't do plumbing, so if they destroy something, which is likely, you will have to call someone else.
