Spannuth installed our condo building's boiler, so when I had one dripping radiator and another radiator that needed to be reinstalled after our bathroom floor tile was replaced, our management company suggested that I use them.
The job was originally scheduled for Dec 29. After many cancellations and unreturned phone calls from Scott, it was not completed until Jan 12th.
They did an adequate job... eventually.

Trying to schedule our annual maintenance - I called yesterday just after 4pm, no answer. The voicemail was weird (not a business voicemail) and I thought I had the wrong number, so I sent an email. Email bounced back. I called again just before 5pm and the man who answered the phone informed me their hours were 8am-4pm, and to call back the next day. (Yelp hours are 7:30am-5pm but I know that can be wrong, so chalked it up to that.) Called back today at 3:45pm and said that whoever does the scheduling was gone at 3 and had ""other things to do"". He told me he was the person I'd spoken with yesterday. I told him he'd told me to call before 4pm and he started laughing, saying ""oh you're going to be picky about this, aren't you?""

Spannuth services our vintage condo boiler. Today they installed a new hot water heater. They have been much more responsive than the previous mechanical company doing boiler maintenance and repair. And they're local for us, too, right here in Oak Park.

For our new hot water heater, they were $3,000 under the nearest competitive bid. They showed up promptly on time this morning and completed the job before the day was done. Very satisfied with their service. They've been in business a long time. They're experienced, friendly, and have great rates.

These guys are good. I understand that someone can have a bad experience with any company, as we see in one review of Spannuth, but we could not have asked for more prompt or professional service. We had no past relationship with them but they dropped everything to make sure that a malfunctioning boiler was not as dangerous as it appeared, and then they gave us our repair-or-replace options with specific costs and no pressure. We opted for the replace option and they were finished in a day. I would call them again in a minute.

My condo uses this company so I was trying to connect with them to come service my radiators. My emails have gone unanswered and phone calls are never sent to a voicemail just keep ringing. Do not (attempt to) contract for services.

Last weekend I had a pipe the goes into the top of my boiler leaking all over my boiler. Call Spannuth Boiler of Oak Park they sent out a young man out to see what was really going on he did stop the leak right away. Told me that his boss would send someone out Monday. I have to say Monday Mr. Kurt and his helper were early Monday morning about 8:00 or 8:15 and got the job done. My boiler running like new. We had Keith out to our house to check out the radiators -- it's a new home and we weren't sure what shape they were in, or how to optimize them. Keith gave them a great going over, and taught us a lot about how to optimize them, and get the best efficiency. The price was extremely reasonable, and we're winter-ready! Very highly recommended.
