This company excessively over charges its customers for plumbing services. It's unfortunate that there is no oversight to monitor companies like this.

When the company talks about basing their price on ""TIME/MATERIAL"" rather than giving you a set price for the job, get ready to get royally SCREWED!

It is unfortunate that you have companies out here like Souza who are blatantly disingenuous.

The company completed the job; however, their repair costs were exorbitant. We had them replace a toilet / broken flange. Their charge $1400.00.

Are there NO reputable plumbers left in the east bay -- SMH --

I have used Souza for a few years and they always go beyond my expectations. The latest was relatively minor -- a new toilet seat. They understood what I wanted and were in and out within 15 minutes. Great work. Great attitude. Very highly recommended them.

Souza Plumbing was at my house this morning and fixed a problem that had surfaced after EBMUD had installed a new water meter last week at my address. They not only fixed the ""water hammer"" vibration, but a couple of other things that needed attention with my toilet. They were quick, professional, and very reasonable - and I got lucky this morning because two plumbers showed up, John Sr. and John Jr- both very capable at their trade.

I would hire them again.

Have called Souza Plumbing for ~15 years. Was impressed by John's honesty to say my old house didn't need new pipes. Every repair (clogged drains, new water heater, new faucet...) has been done same or next day with great quality. I'll keep supporting this family run business!

My faucets and shower heads where leaking he tried to sell me a repipe tell me all of the hardware needed to be replaced. A outrageous quote. When all everything needed was new washers. And sealers. Had everything thing fixxed for under 160.00.$ in stead of his 1500.00$ qoate. Wouldn't recommend him to my worse enemy. Shop around. This man John Moncelli is a crook.

Hot water heater went out and I had a company come and replace it for an insane amount of money, a year later it went out again, Souza and viviani came in a replaced it with an American made heater instead and it's lasted much longer, while John was over I had him late a look at our sink that rotor rooter wanted to charge thousands of dollars to fix and he didn't for a much more reasonable amount, probably the most honest and professional contractor I've ever met, I wouldn't recommend using anyone else

This review is long overdue.

I had received a notice from the water company about a spike in water use. I first spoke to a reputable leak detection company and they referred me to Souza Plumbing.

They were prompt, thorough, very knowledgable, and respectful. They have decades of experience, but are very current. I am very lucky I found them. I now have my plumber.
