I had a break in a 1 inch PVC landscape irrigation pipe that required the water to be shut off for my entire property. My gardener discovered it when he arrived, but could not do it as he normally would because he had his schedule to keep for the day. Got a referral to Southwest from a neighbor. I called to make an appointment, questioned the hourly rate and was told $115, but there might be different rates if it was an emergency at 2 AM, etc. I said fine. The plumber arrived at 2:15 PM. The spot was already dug up, the pipe exposed. He said there was a small crack in the elbow part; I went back inside while he continue to work. I came out numerous times, and it seemed like this was going awfully slowly. Finally, about 3:30 PM I noticed he was sitting in his truck. He said he had to wait an hour for the glue to dry! I called my gardener who said he uses the same blue glue, and it dries quite quickly. He finished, buried the pipe and left at 4:45 PM. Therefore, he was here 2.5 hours. The next day, I received an invoice for two hours at $115, and 3/4 of an hour for overtime at $187 an hour! Apparently, and completely unknown to me, his day ends at 4:00 PM and overtime apparently would apply after that. So he sat in his truck, watching the glue dry, and I got charged for overtime! After receiving the initial invoice, I immediately emailed back expressing my concerns. I got no response. 10 days later, I received a dunning notice so I called. A manager agreed to my offer to pay 2.5 hours at the normal rate of $115. In hindsight, I should have only offered to pay for 1.5 hours. First and LAST experience I will have with this crooked business! (

(P.S. My gardener said this would have normally taken him less than an hour and he would have charged about $50!)

Watch out for high prices and incorrect diagnosis. Lazy workers who want to do the quick fix. Never pulled out leak detection tools assuming different problem. Won't be calling again

Called at 8:00 to get drain unclogged. They showed up at 11:00 same day. Got the job done in no time. I give them AAA++++ proceed reasonably. Will keep them in my contact list.

I called Southwest on Thursday they showed up the next day on time. James was polite and personable and got right to work replacing the angle stops on an upstairs sink. Job was completed and I found the bill very reasonable. They are my first call plumbers...

Called on a Monday at 3:55pm for a clogged main, I was told I would get a call first thing next morning.
I called twice on Tuesday morning and by 11am still had no reply so I had to find another plumber urgently for the same day.

I'm sure they are good plumbers, but communication seems messy for established company

We called Southwest Plumbing on the recommendation of a friend. They came out on a Thursday to fix our toilet which was stopped up. The plumber snaked the toilet from two outside flush pipes and told us he took care of everything. On Saturday the toilet again began to back up and we called Southwest back and asked them to come back to take care of the problem--we were told we would be charged an additional rate for it being on the weekend because, according to them, it was a ""new job"" rather than completing the one they started two days before. The weekend rate would have been hundreds of dollars more than their normal weekly rate. We said no, we would wait until Monday. Sunday, the toilet flooded our entire downstairs living room when we ran our upstairs washing machine, we called Southwest and the call center put the request out and we waited for an hour before calling one of their competitors, who came out immediately. The plumber from the competitor was shocked that Southwest does not honor their warranty for work on weekends with the same rate they charge during the week. We will never do business with Southwest again and will warn all of our friends to stay away from them as well.

James and Javier arrived on time and fixed my 2 small plumbing problems that I hadn't been able to do myself, even with You Tube! Very kind, polite young men. Southwest Plumbers are Awesome!

5 Stars for James!!! Removed and installed a new water heater for us. This guy even went as far as moving back our washer and dryer, and reconnecting everything for us. I can not give enough stars to James, Raycheal, and Yvonne. From scheduling, follow ups, installation, Great team with Southwest. My new go to for sure.

I like Southwest Plumbing, had good work in the past, and heard good things about them. I felt I got the run around recently, scheduled a job, they came and talked me out of it. Then sent me an estimate to do the work and a bill for the time they came. I didnt need an estimate, I scheduled the work and they didnt do it. I called to pay the bill and told them of my experience and they made it right. Its true they are very customer service oriented.
