Many years ago I hired Southwest plumbing to replace a hot water tank in my condo.So when it came time for me to replace another hot water tank for a remodel they were my first choice. Our HOA used to use them on a regular basis for all plumbing needs but stopped using them and I had no idea why? So when the time came it was recommended by my HOA to not use them, but I did. It was a disastrous experience from day one. My realtor and painter immediately noted the installation was not done to code. It was too close to the wall, and the pan was not put in so it did not pass inspection. After numerous attempts to contact a supervisor to have the problem corrected they finally agreed to come out and re-install it properly It turned into a battle with the bill , and the customer service was atrocious. I was being charged for their mistakes . Matt assured me it had all been worked out, apologized and I was told I would not be in charged for the correction and the account was closed. Six months later I received a bill. charging me for their error and labor. When you are in the middle of a remodel the last thing you need is problems with your plumbing. Remodeling is stressful enough because you have a team working; flooring, electrical, painting, etc. all on a schedule with a realtor.
As an educator I work too hard and taking time off from work to be there to micromanage a company that supposed to be working to code and experience with the smallest thing in installing a hot water tank is unacceptable. There are too many qualified dependable plumbers in the Coachella Valley no need to call Southwest. Their prices are ridiculous and standards subpar. Sadly, now it all makes sense while our HOA no longer uses them. Think twice B4 hiring them. It's an unnecessary headache waiting to happen ! Like my father used to say you better treat your customers right or you'll lose them!

I and an emergency sewerline backup on Sunday, 12/23. I called Southwest and was told a Tech would call back as soon as available. 3 hours later, I called back. They had no record of my call; took my info again. A tech called & came out. Charged $335 for emergency call fee. Christmas morning, I had backup again! Called Southwest was told it would be $385! I said ""no"". Called the next morning, talked to Ginger (Customer Relations). After four hours, She said wouldn't send a tech for free but at reduced rate. At 5pm he came and charged $207. (Their regular rate is $105 per hour. What discount?) On that weekend, under the sink where the tech had worked, the drain pipe fell off! I called on Monday morning (New Years Eve). They were closed til Wednesday. I called Wednesday morning, told Ginger of the Tech's blunder and asked for immediate service at no charge. She started to argue. I asked for the owner. She said he wasn't available & would have him call back. 2 hours later, Ginger called me, said a tech would be out within the hour...for no charge. What a horrible way to run a company. NEVER AGAIN, Southwest Plumbing!

This is my second time using Southwest Plumbing, my first written review.

I first hired Southwest Plumbing several months ago for a toilet installation which I was very happy with so I called and scheduled a second appointment to repair two very expensive bathroom sink faucets that that were originally installed by a handyman and have never worked correctly since. The faucets were loose and after several months, the handles froze up and wouldn't turn.

Southwest originally gave me an appt. time window and the technician called and gave me a 15 min ETA which was very helpful. Once he arrived, the faucets were repaired in a very reasonable amount of time and now these faucets work like they are brand new.

As nice of a job that was done, this last part of the review just might be the most important.

After finishing the work and filling out the invoice which I paid in cash, the technician left. About five minutes later my doorbell rang. It was the plumber who had returned to tell me that I had overpaid. Apparently two of the bills had stuck together and I had given him an extra $100 bill by mistake.

It's this kind of honesty that you seldom see but when you do it has a way of renewing your faith in the trade business and in humanity as a whole.

Southwest Plumbing exceeded expectations as did the technician's honesty. Thank you Zeke!

Southwest Plumbing.....awesome business!! Customer service is exceptional!! Repair people are wonderful!! Prices are fair and reasonable and stated up front so you know what to expect. Service is always prompt!

I was 3000 miles away and had a serious water issue. They were the most patient and attentive you can be. They were on top of solving the problem and was the best price around. Their staff are great. Thanks so much

Terrible service. Plumber came to our new home to install a toilet and a new kitchen sink. The plumber broke the sink!! Chipped the corner off and then tried to blame it on our electrician. We have contacted the company 3 times now. Spoke with Matt who said he'd replace the sink but never called us back. Still trying to get someone to even acknowledge us. So unprofessional.

I will not recommend southwest plumbing to anyone. We requested a quote for what it would cost to relocate the washer and dryer from inside the house to the garage. Unfortunately I didn't realize the quote didn't include electrical which doesn't make sense & accepted. They waited till the day of construction to get the permit from the city and were denied, construction had to stop for a pre work inspection. More inspection issues, lack of communication & the 5 day job was done 3 weeks later. Not impressed!!!
I will say the guys who did the actual work were great.

What a relief to find a competent, honest and conscientious plumbing company. I've used Southwest on a couple of occasions (one big job and one small one) and have had positive experiences. They arrive on time, give a thorough estimate and execute the work as described with no surprises. Special shout out to Greg and Abraham, who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to make sure the job was done right.
