SouthSide Plumbing is the absolute best in town. They showed up immediately and handled the issue. We had to have our main line dug up due to tree roots. The driveway had to be ripped out and the pipe replaced all the way to the curb. These guys worked non stop to get us going again. The excavation crew was the best I'd ever witnessed. The team of Zach, Josh, and Johnny truly knocked that out of the park. And the plumber, Sean, was a pure joy to work with. He was up front with costs, he kept us informed of progress, and was just a bright light in an otherwise stressful and dark time. Not to mention as they are working on this project a freak blizzard/rain storm rolled through. They hunkered down and kept working. I'm a professional maintenance man by trade, myself, and I know when it is time to call in a professional. I am so glad that I called SouthSide Plumbing. They are truly the best in town and always will be.

Spoke with Josh (the estimator) on several occasions. He is not the friendliest person. The best experience was with the receptionist and Bill (one of the Plumbers). Upon speaking with Josh over a few weeks the price changed, going up by 2000 dollars each time. Josh even came out to the house but was kind of rude, which I took at this time that he did not really want the job or to come look at the job in the first place. We use to use Southside for a few issues. If Bill is still working there and you want to go with Southside, I would advise requesting him.

Update: turns out they actually hit the neighbor's water line. Repaired it (sort of) and walked off. They never patched the wall where the new water line entered the basement. So next time it rained, guess what happened? Yep, it flooded. Good luck with these clowns!

When a company makes a small mistake but atones for it, it's a company I would recommend in a heartbeat.
The job got done and the drain was cleared in a timely manner. One small mistake that had nothing to do with the cleaning of the drain, created an issue which the company made right.
Cory is a great guy! And the company is a good one!

Called Southside Plumbing as a second look at our outside water spigot. The first plumber said we had a split in our pipe. We were able to book Southside quickly to come in. When they came they said we didn't have a split pipe but said we could and implied we should maybe switch out the pipe for our spigot, but that we can just do it ourselves and told my husband to do it. The guy wasn't even here for an hour and charged $130. We tried to do it ourselves and found out that our pipe was split and we couldn't replace it ourselves because of how the original pipe was placed. We called and emailed the company to come back and now they won't respond and keep putting it off saying they're busy. It's been over a week, so now we're going with another company. The only redeeming quality is that they didn't mind our ~50 lb dog roaming around when they came. I do not suggest them.

Southside Plumbing, also dba(doing business as) Aksarben Pipe & Sewer, also dba Next Gen Plumbing. Southside Plumbing & Aksarben Pipe & Sewer used to be owned by two very reliable brothers. Now, unfortunately, one of their family members, Josh, runs the business using vans with all three names. I had them out to snake my kitchen & main drain on Feb. 21st. While snaking the kitchen drain, the technician stated the snake was too big but he was going to just change out the tip. The wall was shaking and had I not had a hurt back I would have gone to the basement to check things out myself. Long story short, the pipe in the basement was broken by the technician. I had prepared the area the night before, sweeping etc. and there was not a leak nor was there black stuff smudged into the concrete wall. I'm quite sure the main drain was never snaked and the majority of the time in the basement was them trying to cover the fact that they broke the pipe and stuff was spewing. Before the technician left he said, ""I think you have a small leak right here, see where the tile is discolored?"" I said yes, we had a leak years ago, but I was caught off-guard and off they went. I went upstairs and turned on the kitchen sink and water poured out onto the basement floor. I immediately called the office where their receptionist is the best thing about the company. I never received any help other than a technician calling and informing me that it would be $110 dollars an hour to fix the pipe and it may take up to 3 hours...he wanted to ""make sure I knew that and that I needed a check ready."" I asked for Josh to return my call to discuss what happened and he never did. They knew they broke the pipe. They smeared black stuff all over my wall, and black stuff was sprayed as far as under the toilet lid. Do yourself a favor and do not use these companies. All I needed was a return phone call, some accountability, and a solution. They did not care at all and just wiped their hands clean of the whole situation. Luckily, my father is a Pipefitter and has quality friends who helped me fix the waterfall in the basement which Josh cared nothing about.

I wanted to proactively get my main sewer line cleaned out to ensure there are no problems developing, so I called Southside Plumbing and spoke to Josh in mid-May. He gave me a quote and I scheduled a time for a technician to come out the following week. When the technician arrived he apologized and said he did not have the correct equipment in his van to clean out my line. He left and assured me someone would call me to reschedule. I received no such call, so imagine my surprise when I received a $190 bill three weeks later stating they ""ran my kitchen sink line"" and diagnosed a repair estimated at $2500. After leaving multiple messages with the office staff, I finally received a callback from Josh. He apologized after I explained what happened, but I then received an amended bill stating I owe $45 for a ""trip charge."" How I am responsible for this considering the technician arrived without the correct eqipment is beyond me! What is even more frustrating is that I have called the office repeatedly for a month and this issue is still not resolved! The office staff state that only Josh has the authority to correct the charge, however he is consistently in meetings, on the other line, or out of the office. He has yet to return my phone call. Had I known what a headache it would be to deal with this company, I never would have called in the first place.

My pipes froze and was panicking because I have a home warranty with incompetent rude customer service one choice icky plumbers. They came out and said they were going to destroy my bathroom walls to get to the frozen pipes and my home warranty won't pay. I told them to get OUTSIDE!! I called Southside Plumbing and were courteous and calmed me down. The plumber came out with a brown box with plumbing tools and fixed my frozen pipes in 15minutes with no destruction. I was sooooo HAPPY I did not pay more than my copay for my rotten home warranty with shit plumber. Thank goodness for Southside plumbing and give them a try you won't regret it because there amazing.
