We've used Southern Plumbing exclusively since at least 2015, including 2 major line repairs involving tunneling under the house to replace cast iron/galvanized pipes. Once on the kitchen/garage side and most recently last month on the master bedroom side. These guys are extremely reasonable, quick to respond and always leave the area neat, clean and level. They've been able to make same day visits to diagnose the problems and are ready to start major work in as little as 2 days. They're friendly, polite and just all around great plumbers.

I had a water supply line break in my bathroom this afternoon, and within minutes of my call to Southern Plumbing they had a plumber at my house ready to make repairs. Mind you, I had called two other plumbers first who couldn't even set a day for an appointment. The plumber from Southern Plumbing was super-friendly and repaired the line quickly. The price was very reasonable too. And get this - their clean-up after the job left the space far better than they found it. I think I just found my go-to plumbing service!

We called Southern Plumbing in the midst of several emergencies. We are relatively new homeowners of a very old home that is turning out to have lots of evidence of the previous owner's DIY efforts.

The most pressing issue we called about was that our 28 year old(!!) water heater had finally given out. Chris came out and replaced it, and also addressed some issues with it's unusual location (in the house, not on an exterior wall). Ultimately, he made improvements to make it safer, as the previous water heater it had been installed in a pretty haphazard way.

The other problem was that I had been hearing a drip in a wall for several weeks. A previous plumber had come to look at it, and without opening the wall told me it was an "echo," which seemed absurd to me. Because Chris was already addressing the water heater, he cut open the wall for me and it was immediately obvious that there was a leak and damage to the wall. Opening the wall also revealed the very, very old PVC pipes that run throughout the house. Chris provided various options, but ultimately we decided the wisest thing to do was to repipe the house - as it seemed likely that other area would continue to fail and it was better to just address everything once and be done with it.

Re-piping a house is obviously a huge undertaking, but over two day, a crew, led by Omar, worked diligently to get everything replaced. They were efficient and consistently considerate about cleaning up after themselves.

Throughout the entire process, Chris was excellent to work with. He is extremely knowledgeable and provided me with multiple options for how to proceed. He provided photographs of the work he was doing, so I could better understand the issues he was encountering, as well as written, itemized quotes.

Since the plumbing work, we are pretty astounded by the much hotter water and excellent water pressure throughout the house. I would definitely recommend Southern Plumbing.

The temperature adjustment handle in my guest restroom shower broke on a Thursday before going out of town and I completely forgot about it until 9am on a Monday, when I emailed David in a panic. He got back to me super quickly and let me know someone would be to my house between 3pm and 5pm. Sergio called me at 2:45pm to let me know he was picking up a part and here it is, not even 5pm and the repair is done. He explained the issue and fixed it no problem and the cost of everything, I would consider to be quite reasonable. Thank you so much!

Called in morning for estimate, flat $180 to clear shower drain, lowest of the 3 plumbers I called. David said they would be there same afternoon 4-6pm and Omar and Josh arrived at 4. Used a big auger to pull a disgusting blob out of my shower drain and went ahead and cleaned goo out of a bathroom sink drain for me too. Done in 30 minutes, spotless work. Omar and Josh were courteous and professional, couldn't ask for better service. Would definitely use them again.

These are the neighborhood plumbers I have been looking for since moving to Houston. The problem we had was similar to one we had 4 years ago and the caused the house to back up. They arrived on time, listened to what was happening and quickly assessed that it was a simple problem, not the same as 4 years earlier. Without making me feel like a fool and actually explaining the issue so that I could take care of it throughout the house, they solved the problem and were gone in less than 15 minutes. They even, graciously, did not charge me for the what they imparted to me. They have guaranteed that I will always call them for plumbing problems and always recommend them to friends looking for plumbing services!

I consider myself reasonably handy but sometimes it's best to call a professional. I called several places to get a quote to unclog a sink due to build up from hvac drain line. Southern answered the line during business hours, quoted a price, and arrived within the time frame discussed. They sent two guys who were extremely respectful and even noticed the no shoe policy in my home. They initially tried snaking from the sink but that wasnt sufficient. I retrieved their shoes as they were going to need to go in attic and make a few trips to their truck. So the fix required them to cut vent line then snake. So after a hour they were done and was charged what they quoted over phone. Would definitely use again and recommend!

Re-piped my house last year. They did a great job. Very responsive and knowledgeable. The customer service is quite good. I wished they had left the drywall pieces by the cutouts. Also, my extension cord went missing- it may have been mistakenly taken. Overall I would recommend this company
