WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!!! The only reason I am giving one star is because I cannot give 0 starts. This company is trash. I had them come look at my ac unit that was acting up, but still worked. After running tests for about an hour they managed to completely break my unit and refused to admit that it was their fault. """"The unit was obviously having problems and it went out as we worked on it"""". Coincidence or not, I was still charged nearly $200 to have them look at my unit, break it completely, and not receive any actual repairs. They told me I would receive quotes for a compressor and a unit on Monday since they were at my house Friday. It is now Tuesday and never received a quote. I WOULD LOOK ELSEWHERE for HVAC service if you are reading this. Highly incompetent people, will not work with you as a customer, and do not follow up on agreements. I hope the company reads this and makes some changes. Personally, I hope they don't and go out of business. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

I called Southern Plumbing a couple weeks ago, late in the afternoon, when I came home and found my toilets were backing up into the house. They called City of Aiken for me and had them check to make sure it wasn't a blockage on their side. Then they came out and cleared the line from the meter to the house. Everyone from the girl who answers the phone to the technician who came out was very friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure my situation was taken care of, even though I called them at 4:25 in the afternoon!

Don't use this company unless you want another hole ripped in your a$$. That's exactly what I feel happened to me. Seriously overpriced! I've spend thousands of dollars on plumbers over the years and this company was the most ridiculous EVER. In 25 years of hiring plumbers, I know what a fair price is. I can't warn you strongly enough! Call someone else. Charged me $788 to fix one pipe - was told they had to """"excavate and copper pipe isn't cheap"""". Excavation was lifting the lid from water main and moving a few inches of dirt. Sadly, my husband agreed to this price since I wasn't home and he probably wanted to make me happy. But *I* would have gone without water for a week before I paid this price! CALL SOMEONE ELSE!!!

I would rate a 0 if i could. Had an appointment for them to camera and locate our sewer line as we already snaked the line. They scheduled us for 2 days out and at the last minute they called and said we were outside their service area because they were looking at an """"old map"""". However, they said that they would still come out but, it would be a $150.00 trip fee ( we're 30 min from them) and that it would go towards the total fee. I asked what that fee to camera and locate would be but they do not quote on the phone and that the technician would quote once they were here. I stated that I just needed a ballpark dollar amount was it $150.00 or $5000.00. They said that they cant give any prices over the phone. So bait and switch on the trip fee, and then hold you hostage with the trip fee to get you to then use their services. This company is not transparent nor honest. I only hope I can save someone else from this terrible company and their lack of customer service. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS THEY ARE A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!

Charlie with Southern Plumbing and Electrical has helped me tremendously with diagnosing (and fixing) our AC, well pump, adding dimmer switches and with a minor plumbing project. Charlie is unbelievably versatile, knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. Actually everyone that I've been in contact with at Southern Plumbing and Electrical has been friendly, quick to accommodate urgent situations (no water), as well as just answering general air conditioning questions (thank you Harry).

Had a fire in my bathroom fan 7/7/16. Called Southern due to their deceptive """"emergency electrician"""" ad in the phone book. Their obese electrician came out, who was NOT who Harry Nix said it would be, did NO WORK WHATSOEVER. He looked at the charred hole with a flashlight then went outside and spent 20 minutes writing up an estimate to replace the exhaust fan in the bathroom. Are you ready? $770!!! - to replace a fan!!! A real electrician came out and replaced it for $89. I had to pay Southern Plumbing and Electrical $69 to do no work at all and give me a ludicrous estimate. YES they are a TOTAL RIPOFF and prey upon your fear that your house isn't safe after an emergency. Be calm, flip the breaker and call a reputable electrician that won't attempt to gouge you - and wait if you have to. Don't be drawn in by their ad - you can be safe and wise too.

Was charged $650 for a toilet flange repair - on a Monday morning. Also charged a $70 service call. Entire job took 2 hours, no extra concrete repair. Complete ripoff.

I read they had ridiculous prices, but how ridiculous was unimaginable almost laughable. I was pricing quotes to connect my well pump to my irrigation system which requires about $75 materials 90 ft of PVC and about 4 hours labor. One company quoted me $250, another quipped $525, this company a laughable $4,000. Though they couldn't itemize the quote they could only tell me the price comes out of a book. Where is the logical break down and if that's the case they'd best learn how to read. I think they base their business on the $69 quote charges; knowing they won't get the work and move on to the next victim. It still bewilders me they couldn't justify the price but still tried to say it was fair and reasonable. STAY AWAY!

Do not use this company. They charged me $295.00 to reset the GFI button. I could have done it myself but the builder had put the GFI in the outlet on the porch instead of in the bathroom and I could not find it. The technician looked in the circuit greaker box, saw the GFI in the front entry and reset the GFI then charged $295.00. This has to be the worst rip off I have ever encountered in my 57 years.

Very fast response. Excellent service and friendly staff. They came out and fixed my broken sewer line within several hours of calling, on the weekend.
