I am very disappointed with the Technician James with Southern Home who came over to our house to evaluate our Water Heater issue which was not heating up after two persons take shower, based on the Claim I place with Choice Home Warranty. We already have Water Filtration system for the whole house which filters the whole house which enters the Water Heater tank as well. Also the Water Heater Tank is just 5 years old and maintenance was done by Water Filtration system serviced by Culligan Water Filtration System. James was trying to evaluate the problem of our Water Heater by trial and error method and after half an hour, he told me that everything was fine. I questioned him, ""Then why the water gets cold after two persons take shower and that I was going to inform Choice Home Warranty that the problem was not fixed"". Then he replied that Choice Home Warranty would make him accountable for not fixing the issue. The Technician James thought for a while and said that the water heater needs maintenance and the water needs to be flushed and the sediments removed, for which he would charge $150. I declined to pay him $150 saying that it was too much and we have the Water Filtration system which takes away the impurities from the Water. Apparently James gave a report to Choice Home Warranty that it was due to lack of maintenance that the Water Heater was not heating which is absurd and as a result Choice Home Warranty did not approve for the Thermostat which was ordered by James.
