From start to finish, I had an excellent experience with Southern Comfort Mechanical. Luis came out quickly to give me an estimate. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and made a small adjustment while he was here that helped improve our situation right away. Then Luis and Mike arrived on the scheduled day on time and were very professional and efficient, even cleaning up after themselves and making sure all of my questions were answered. I highly recommend this company!

Very seldom do I ever get to say we have received excellent service from a company but not only did Southern Comfort provide excellent service they installed our new AC unit for half of what we were quoted from other companies. When the install crew came out Tony introduced all of the crew and made sure everything was ok and when the master tech came out to make sure everything was working as it should he introduced him also. Megan has gone above and beyond to put up with my crazy questions and in understanding my hesitancy in having anything done. The staff and service has been awesome and I highly recommend them for any service.

We first discovered through a referral from a close friend three years ago when we needed immediate help after a badly botched installation by a competitor. One year later when our second unit died a similar death, Southern Comfort Mechanical proved that their great service and quality of work was not a fluke.

We just bought another home with 15 year old units and decided to proactively replace them to enjoy the same savings we realized in our previous home from the high-efficiency variable speed Trane units SCM installed. We called them at noon on Friday and had an estimator at our home out in the sticks one hour later. At 8am Monday morning, the crew was waiting outside our home to replace two units in the same day on a record hot day. Punctuality and friendly customer service are not their only strengths.

The quality of their installation is amazing. Shoes never touched our carpet -- they immediately slip disposable covers on their shoes anytime they enter the house. And, they cover all our carpets with tarps to ensure any mess is contained. Even though the air handlers are rarely seen, they make sure to mask off the units before applying any mastic. Every detail is seen to. They evcen brought a bag of top soil to line the concrete pad that the compressors sit on outside. Not a single morsel of trash or stray insulation was left behind.

I am certainly tired of purchasing HVAC units, but if I ever have to do it again we will always choose Southern Comfort Mechanical!

Robert has been super helpful and patient every time he has responded to both inquiries and ultimately our request/decision to purchase a new compressor from Southern Comfort which we had needed to buy for some time. The company overall is in our experience very professional, focused on their customers and provided detailed input on the best system for our home. We are looking forward to their ongoing help where needed with maintaining our units, etc. Highly recommend this company.

Southern Comfort Mechanical in Lewisville is a total rip off now. I called them to service my AC, they said the service call is $85, I agreed to the charge thinking that it would go toward the work like others do, but they do not. They checked my AC and fixed it in 30 minutes, and charged $320 dollars to replace a $10 unit. I was not asked if I wanted to proceed with the work they did it and presented me with the inflated bill. I talked to the owner to explain why this bill was so high for 30 minutes worth of work, his reply was "that is what we charge". Then I asked what is their hourly rate and no answer other than "that is what we charge".
This is about the fourth time I have used their service, they were fair at first but the last few times they were not. The previous visit they installed an AC unit inside and the tech said I left you an extra filter to use. when it was time to change the filter the door was screwed shut and no filter inside. they came and fixed it and blamed it on inexperienced help. I was not very comfortable with that answer sending help that is not qualified.
My first experience with them was good so I overlooked their mistake and gave them another chance, but their gouging and inflated charges puts them in the do not call list. Their prices is totally out of control and would not recommend at all.

AC went out on a Saturday afternoon. We had a text from Southern Comfort around 7 am Monday morning, the first folks to get back with us. BJ showed up around 2, did some investigating, and determined it was a squirrel who had chewed through a wire. Fixed it, $150. I think some folks would be tempted to exaggerate this repair since it was so simple, but not BJ. We will use them again and again, just like we have for years.

Matthew came out to repair our air conditioning unit. He was polite and helpful. He quickly identified the problem and worked diligently in 100+ heat to make sure the problem was fixed, when he realized that it was a bigger problem than he initially expected, he ordered the parts and personally saw that the repairs were completed. Thank you for all your hard work.

Matt came out, diagnosed the problem, walked me through it, showing me everything he needed to do to repair my A/C unit, and I was up and running in a few hours. When its 110 degrees outside you will pay anything to get your A/C back, but it was a relatively small problem that wasn't as expensive as it could have been. I would call this team back in a heartbeat, and would ask for Matt again. He was amazing!
