My a/c quit on me Saturday evening.
I tried calling several companies on Sunday morning. If I was able to connect at all, I could not get an appointment for same day or I could not get a specific time frame.
Robert from Southern Comfort called me back within minutes after I left a message for him. He gave me a time frame when he could be there, same day and explained what he would need to do to evaluate the problem. We agreed on price and time. About an hour before his scheduled time, Robert called and said he could come out, I was happy to say yes, as my house was now almost 90 degrees. Within 5 minutes after his arrival, Robert had determined that the capacitor was bad. He was able to replace it and had my house cooling down in no time. I appreciate the prompt and honest service that I received from Robert and Southern Comfort on a very warm Sunday.
BTW: a week prior to my a/c quit, it had been serviced by another company that I could not get to come out on Sunday. They wanted me to wait until sometime Monday.
I now have a new a/c repair company when the need arises.

I am so glad I found this company to help me with my A/C. Chris came out and was very professional and punctual. He walked me through what he was doing and explained the things I should think about moving forward with my unit. At no point did he try and sell me on things I didn't need. He educated me on the issue I was having and what he would recommend for the future. Luckily I don't need the unit replaced yet but when I need maintenance done or the time comes for it to be replaced I know who I will be calling first.

Amazing company. Amazing customer service. Have had our units serviced a couple of times by one of the technicians, Shane. He is extremely courteous and trustworthy. He takes the time to point out potential issues and actually show me the part and why it is bad or may be failing soon! My brother is an HVAC guy but happens to live too far away from me to do anything with our units. I have now entrusted our A/C and heating needs to Shane and Southern Comfort Mechanical because of the professionalism and customer service I have experienced from them.

Based on good reviews from others in the area, and the fact that they're a local company, I thought I would give them a shot (June 2016). The technician who came to the house helped get the system up and going again, it hadn't been serviced since we moved in back in 2011 and was icing up because it didn't have enough refrigerant. So he topped it up for us and things got nice and cold fast.
We talked for about 30 minutes after and he seemed like a great guy, discussed is this something to be concerned about, because freon is a closed system so it shouldn't just go, he said not to worry about it, some systems lose a lb a year or so, if we have problems again sooner than that we can do a leak search, but it's expensive if we're not sure there's a real issue.
The technician was very knowledgeable, and the service was very good. We did have a bit of a misunderstanding and miscommunication, but the owner called personally to make sure everything is being taken care of. Accidents happen and it's good to know there are companies that are willing to do what it takes to make things right.

Southern Comfort did a wonderful job installing a new HVAC in my home. The existing system was 18 years old, Freon leaked out and coils had to be replaced. It was time for a new unit. Southern Comfort charged they system and replaced a capacitor free of charge. Allowing time for the new unit to arrive and schedule the install. The installation went great, the crew was polite and very cautious to not damage and keep house clean. Southern Comfort was very cost competitive and trustworthy. I highly recommend them for your Heating and HC needs. I'll use them gain once my second old A/C fails...

We have had such great experiences with everyone at Southern Comfort. They are super aware of the importance of heat and air for families and went out of their way to fix our air conditioner because they know we have two young children. Shane is absolutely the best: knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate when delivering the news that a big expense is needed. Everyone who helped install was also very kind and professional, although we did not catch their names. We are so happy with our new unit and highly recommend you utilize this fantastic company.

Jason(owner) and his team are very friendly, responsive and professional. He took the time when he came to quote to explain my options and gave me competitive pricing on 3 different Trane HVAC systems. We received a new downstairs unit for our 4000 sq foot house that was 15 years old. Southern Comfort Mechanical also adjusted & replaced some ductwork where we had flow problems. The installation process was seamless and the install team showed up on time, completed the work with minimal disruption and left the work space clean with no debris. After installation, Jason took the time to explain the system operation, go over paperwork and warranties and answer our questions. I would highly recommend Southern Comfort Mechanical.
