This outfit is the best! We had an over holiday total sewer back-up. Don Baumgardt and his crew worked for 2 and a half days on what turned to to be a bear of a job. They were on-time, courteous, thorough, and explained what they were doing and various cost options at every step of the way. They did not charge for time spent retrieving a broken/stuck piece of their equipment! They cleaned up nicely and neatly. Yeah team...

I want to give a shout out to Jake at Southern Arizona Plumbing, and Justin, his assistant. They recently completed a re-pipe for a client of mine and they did the best job on it that I've ever seen. I've project managed several condo repipes and usually the plumbers make it look like the place was ransacked. That was not the case with Jake and Justin. The house was pristine and I was there when they did the video walk through with the city for the permit sign off. The inspector also complimented them on a job well done. I can't begin to recommend them highly enough. These men clearly take pride in their work and they are extremely skilled and hard working. If you need to have a repipe done, my suggestion is that you go with Southern Arizona Plumbing.

Too bad SAP you don't know what good customer service is, or you're WAY to busy to even care! My Choice Home Warranty service assigned you to a simple plumbing issue I was having with a bathroom sink. Got a call from you the day before amending the time window to 2pm - 4pm the next day. Waited until the last hour expired and did not receive a phone call or seeing anyone showing up. Called your office and was told someone would call back. Waited another 45 minutes and decided to call as your office was closing at 5pm. Got an answering service. They said someone would call, and I replied, "" why would I wait for someone to call AGAIN, when I didn't receive a courtesy call the first time ??"". I told the guy to cancel my appointment. Bad customer service for he reviews you are getting. DO NOT USE!

Not sure I can say enough about this company and its people. I had a very expensive water line break and this company DELIVERED. From the initial call I knew I had the right company on the job. Tim came out the same day to assess the situation and made arrangements for temporary water service to get us through the repair process. Tim kept me informed every step of the way while I coordinated things with my insurance company. Jake and Justin showed on time, every time and DID NOT STOP. They made sure everything was addressed with quality workmanship and made sure our landscaping was put back like nothing ever happened. Even coming out on a Sunday to finish the job. This water line break was not cheap, or fun but Southern Arizona Plumbing made it as easy as it could get. Will definitely use them again.

Everyone at Southern Arizona Plumbing is great. I am a real estate agent and I have been using them for several years myself as well as referred out to my clients. Everyone has been very happy with their service, they are very honest and pricing is a lot better than other competing companies when I've had to get bids for repairs. Highly recommend!

We had an unexpected plumbing leak this morning. Mike from SO AZ Plumbing made it out to our house midday and did a great job of making the repair on very old galvanized plumbing. Not only did he know what he was doing but he was great to work with.

I have used SAP many times over the years and am very pleased with their work and their work ethic.

Mike and Jimmy came to our house to replace a portion of a sewer line that had root issues. As this was the result of a home inspection as we had sold the house, we were not overly pleased to have them there. Secondly, in doing the sewer line replacement, they discovered a septic tank (that the sewer line ran into) that was not on the county records and had not records of ever being inspected. Needless-to-say, this was a very stressful event. That said, Mike and Jimmy from Southern Arizona Plumbing were fantastic. They were very professional during the day and one-half they spent in our back yard. They were very careful in digging up our landscaped yard, used tarps to ""store"" the dirt on, and restored everything when the job was done. Most importantly, they went beyond call of duty to carefully explain what (and why) they were doing what they did.

So what could have been a fairly traumatic day and one-half experience turned out to be almost a learning experience for my wife and I. We really appreciated have Mike and Jimmy do this work.

I am very pleased with Southern Az plumbing. We bought a fixer upper 2 years ago. That being said we have had plumbing issues. Over time they have replaced old cracked terracotta pipes outside, relined pipes under house. Installed a water softner system. We just had VWW finish our 2 bath & kitchen remodel. Apparently because the configuration of the new pipes the contractor put in and debris we had clogged pipes and couldnt shower because water would not drain. (Contractors plumber no longer worked for them & contractor didnt really care) Justin came in and tried plumbing out the clog. He couldnt see it with their camera. Major panic since we just spent $$$$$ for a full remodel. Justin & Paul saved the day. They carefully cut sheet rock and got the clog undone. They fixed the pipes so we wont have this problem again and we now have a circular 5 inch plate outside on wall to access plumbing should it happen again. THANK YOU SOUTHERN AZ PLUMBING.

I bought a home in August of 2017. Between that time and Summer of 2018, I worked with Southern Arizona Plumbing in relation to plumbing concerns. My realtor coordinated the plumbing scope in conjunction with the home inspection, which Southern Arizona Plumbing performed and submitted. I received a report that plumbing issues could range between 10,000 and 14,000 dollars for full repair/ replacement of all pipes (liner under the house and full replacement of the mainline). I was told that this step would be necessary in the future. The home is an old one. I understood that there might be issues with plumbing if nothing had been attended to over the course of the home's life. Upon consultation with the technicians after an initial blockage a couple of months after I bought the home, and, my errant trust in the reliability and trustworthiness of the company (based on the recommendation of my realtor), I made the decision to have an extensive plumbing job completed late January of 2018, while I would be away from home. In retrospect, I see that I should not have blindly trusted the real estate agent's recommendation in this situation, nor the word of the technicians from the company, and that I should have consulted with additional plumbing companies regarding both the scope of the work to be done and the cost. However, I did go forward (I own that decision), and when it was complete, I saw this as just a necessary evil of owning a beautiful home. And I was okay with that.

However, the subsequent interactions with this company are leading me to write this review. Beginning in the Spring of 2018 (two months after completion of the major job), my tub was draining slowly, and my bathroom sink was as well. Because I am not in town full time, I scheduled appointments around the different times I would be in town. Upon my return in July, the tub was continuing to drain slowly, and so was the sink.

James, from Southern Arizona Plumbing, came to check the drain and to complete a ""drain cleaning service""--however, this did not occur, as neither the sink nor the tub drain was cleared. I was told, in a pretty aggressive and dismissive way, that the problem was that I had roots in the pipes causing the slow draining, that this was completely unrelated to any work done previously (this was repeated over and over), and that the pipes needed to be replaced. I was taken aback both by the tone and the extensive nature of this recommendation (as the only and immediate solution).

I was told that Aaron from Southern Arizona plumbing would be coming by to review the scene. Aaron did not contact me until I made additional calls to the company. He reiterated James' assertion that there would need to be replacement of the pipes in the bathroom, and that he and James would come back to review together and determine what the best course of action would be. He made no attempt to clear the drain. Two weeks passed and I heard nothing, so I followed up by contacting James to see what next steps might be. I was sent a quote/proposal via email that indicated that I had two options, the low end being 3,400 and the higher being 5,320 (and included no additional response).

After this proposal was sent, there was no additional communication, and I still had a drain that had not been cleared.

I decided to do what I should have done in the first place when I bought the house, and that was to call for a second and third opinion from two other plumbing companies. Both representatives who inspected the drain indicated that they could not verify presence of roots in the pipes, but affirmed that it is always a possibility. However, in relation to the immediate concern of clearing the drains, they attended to that task. The drain to the sink required a new elbow and washer (and now drains fine) and the tub was snaked (also now drains fine). The company I am working with now let me know that, of course, there may be stoppages in the future (always the case), but at this time, the job I was hiring a company to do has been completed, and they made no recommendation for extensive work at this time.

I contacted Aaron at Southern Arizona plumbing to let him know of my concerns related to this job, and he was quick to respond to my complaint in the hopes that I would refrain from writing a negative review. I appreciate his concern, and his willingness to help ""prove to me that there are roots in my pipes"" after the fact, but the fact remains that they left me with an unattended and un-solved drain stoppage for months, for seemingly no reason except to create the conditions in which I would move forward with an unnecessary expense.

With this experience behind me, I have learned some valuable (and expensive) lessons.
