Back in 1994, Ira Preuett established Southern Air Heating & Cooling with one truck. My elderly father just had his water moved from the attic to the mud room. He did not get the Paper-work for the heater. When asked to speak to the installer he was told he was on vacation. My father is a 92 ww2 veteran and I don't appreciate the way he was treated in this
transaction. It seems they were not very courteous and he is having problems at the end results.
I have used Southern Air several times in the past but never again.

My 76 year old grandma had lost her A/C at the start of a very, very hot summer. These guys came out and recharged her unit with freon, but told her that her unit was dead and she basically needed an entire new unit. They then proceeded to sell my grandma an over $11,000 unit, which she didn't need. I called around the next day to compare prices for her only to discover that they were charging her double what other companies would charge for the exact same work and warranty. I was able to get in touch with Michael's cooling and heating and they came out and said that she didn't need an entire new unit. She just needed some repairs and a few things changed out to make it work correctly and for her to be able to use her unit for the full life, as intended. Had it not been for Michael's cooling and heating, Southern Air would have ripped my poor grandma off for over $11,000 instead of the $3,500 she spent. These people are liars and will try to cheat you out of your money.

Called them out to check on heater on 01/12/2018 because a malfunction. The technician arrived in a very timely fashion. Stated the the flame sensor was bad and replaced. Total cost was $171 with the service contract. Had to call them out for the same issue again the next day. Same tech said flame sensor needed adjusting. Same problem occurred again the 14th. I turned the system off and turned it back on and haven't noticed the problem again.
Not sure if the problem is resolved but I will call them back out if it occurs again. Tech was professional, response and delivery of service was efficient.

Had a bad experience. They has two incompetent Techs to overfill my unit with Freon that i did not need. They did not come inside to service the inside unit where the problem was. Just said that the unit is 8yrs old should replace it. The added $287 wort of Freon. With service contract with other company they drained the Freon properly fixed the unit for over $600 bucks. Souther Air wants me to pay $287 for damage to my compressor with too much Freon!!
