If I could give them NO STARS I would!!
We called and spoke to Jay he said he would come that day or the next day he never called
Or came by. He told my husband the system just needed to be flushed out would only take a hour or 2.
So since he didn't show up we called a few days later he then said ok he was busy but he will come on Tuesday or Wednesday and again he never showed up and never called!!! Really
I guess he is too busy to get back to clients!!
Well we decided to get a whole new system and went with a reputable plumber if anyone needs this send me a yelp
Message!! But I would not use South Bay tankless!

was driving behind one of your vans who stopped for long periods of time at stoplights so he could text. I honked so he would go. The driver ended up flipping me off a couple times and purposely stopped on main roads just because I honked. License plate number of the vehicle is 8S54999 - incident happened on April 26, at 12:50pm. Whoever was driving that car needs to be spoken too. Highly recommend not flipping anyone off especially in a company car.... horrible representation of your company and the employees who work there. I've never used your services and I absolutely will never recommend.

Southbay Tankless came by to fix our tankless water heater three weeks ago and it is still not working properly. Ray came by on a holiday weekend and we paid him but now he is not willing to come out again and not willing to return our money. He hung up the phone on us. Very unprofessional.

I used Ray for the first time to install a tankless hot water heater. Ray's quote was reasonable, he explained exactly what the process entailed and so we scheduled the install for the coming week. Surprisingly, our old tank failed the very next day (a Friday). I called Ray to see if he could schedule the install for early the next week, figuring we would be without hot water for the weekend. I was pleasantly surprised when Ray said he would be there on Saturday morning to install the tank temporarily to get thru the weekend and would come first thing on Monday for the permanent install. Ray was true to his word, completed the install as indicated (both Saturday and Monday), explained how the system worked and how to maintain it. I highly recommend Ray / South Bay Tankless and would not hesitate to do business with him in the future.

I've been using Ray and George for about 8 years now. They've always been responsive to help resolve my plumbing issues. My house was built in '53, and there are a couple of interesting plumbing choices that occasionally cause headaches. They willing to come out and diagnose the problem and provide several possible solutions ranging from ""fix as-is"" to replacement. They provide courteous profession service at reasonable price.

I originally had a positive view of Ray Saukkola Jr. (and George) of Southbay Tankless (aka Expertise Plumbing). However, I am now am trying to resolve a billing dispute with Ray, but during the discussion, he has hung up twice. Essentially, Ray CLAIMS TO OFFER free estimates, and CLAIMED TO BE DOING so for a replacement bypass water heating system under consideration. The existing system (to be bypassed) awaited the delivery of a circulator that had been ordered, following a prior diagnosis done by someone else that preceded Ray or George's involvement whatsoever. There was a redundant non-working system that had a working circulator, but we wanted the new circulator going on the better of the two existing systems, and that new circulator was to arrive any day. Essentially, Ray tried to charge me 4 man hours for a circulator swap (that we had earlier decided not to do; see above) for a 20 minute job on the old system, even though he was called entirely for a free estimate on the new replacement/bypass system and we didn't need someone to tell us that the old circulator needed replacement (we'd ordered it days before talking to Ray at all). Again, to be very clear, the clock should have started for one man (Ray) when he began to move the old, working circulator into the existing, primary circuit/system - something that we already knew needed to be done and for which we had not asked Ray or George to diagnose; the diagnosis for that replacement of this primary circulator had been completed well before Ray or George ever got involved a week earlier, when the new circulator had been ordered by me on Amazon. So, unless this all gets resolved, I would not recommend that anyone hire Ray as you may find yourself getting billed a large amount for what was supposed to be a free estimate on a replacement system, and he will refuse to give his E-mail address and thinks it's professional to hang up on a customer during a discussion to resolve a matter.

I wish I had listened to the long detailed post about Ray Saukkola below as it really did warn me of this plumber's problems with not making me feel ripped off. I wish I could say this gently but he did not do what he said he would do. From arriving very late to trying to charge me for his estimate time, I don't know why I bothered to call him in the first place. My husband finally had to ask him to leave firmly when Ray kept insisting on being paid for things that he said he would not charge for. I feel kinda bad for writing this as he is not a young steady guy and he may need the money.

Ray is awesome! The work he did was awhile back, but I forgot to write a review. He installed a tankless system and pump at our house - a year later we have had NO issues. He had the best price and got it done quickly. I had a few odds and ends to do (kitchen sink etc..) a few months later, he came by and took care of several things and didn't even charge me. I will definitely use his services again.
