I was given a 5 hour window in the middle of the day for someone to come. I was called right at the end of that window and told no one would be able to come but I could reschedule for the next morning. 15 minutes after the plumber was supposed to be here the next morning, I got a call saying my four story building was too tall and they could not service it.

Southwest plumbing is NOT the to call!

During an extremely stressful time when one water accident helped us discover a problem, we reached out to find recommendations for a local plumber. Since Kirk at Southwest plumbing was highly recommended, I reached out to him.

We were in the middle of a construction disaster and needed one specific item addressed and fixed. He arrived and diagnosed the problem incorrectly, spending a very short time on the problem he was called to address, saying he couldn't fix it, but rather spent more time looking for other things to do. That is called ""upselling"".

Our water heater is working fine, thank you. Our faucet head doesn't retract all the way. Not a problem. We were in the middle of a huge mess and not interested in anything else but fixing our current problem! If you had just addressed our problem, said you couldn't fix it and left with maybe a $200 charge for your time that would have seemed more fair.

Would you like to know what we were charged for absolutely no help? $550!! And trust me this does not help us or endear us to this company in the future if we have a plumbing problem.

We reached out to management- The service manager whose name was Ryan-and they were no help as well. They said apparently there was nothing they could do to make us feel better. It's interesting that they didn't offer a refund.

We had a great experience with South West Plumbing and specifically with Colton Todd who came out to address an emergency sewage back-up. Colton went an extra 10 miles, demolishing concrete, remove deck stairs, and staying late into the night get our drains usable again. He replaced the drain line and even worked through a difficult inspection to get everything running again. Colton and team really did a great job and spent long hours working to get everything repaired.

I've noticed the reviews of Southwest have run the gamut from one star to five star and everywhere in between. I can only rate and judge by the experience we have had. We've had SW come out and do three jobs for us since we moved in last year and began to remodel an old condo in West Seattle. Because we are four stories up, all our work requires a commercial plumber, which I'm sure that adds to the cost. SW is not cheap, but I have been extremely pleased with the work they've done. If I wasn't, I wouldn't hesitate to say so..

Andrew came out the first time and did a great job for us, followed the second time by Dave (who is a heat pump expert), who was also terrific. The office and dispatch staff did a terrific job getting us on the schedule quickly and assuring that either Andrew or Dave showed up. They also kept me posted on the arrival time. For this latest job Andrew and his apprentice, José, came out and removed a wall in order to move the water supply and drain for a bathroom remodel. They were right on time and called me in advance to let me know their ETA and again just before they arrived. There was no wasted time and they worked straight through, in very tight quarters, except for a short lunch break. My friend, who was helping me with the bath remodel, has been in construction as a contractor for decades. He looked carefully at the quality of the work and pronounced it ""Top Notch"".

Andrew stubbed out the water lines and drain so we could install tile over the holes in the drywall. That allowed us to lay tile over the drywall without having to cut big holes in the tile. A few days later Andrew and José came back out and installed the valves and the drain pipe and helped my friend and me in so many ways complete the job. They did beautiful work and my wife and I are thrilled with the end result.

I twice had these guys to my house. I had a leaking faucet in my back yard. They said it would just be cheaper to cap it myself. I did this and the leak continued. I called Southwest again to look at it. The gentleman said it would be around $1,064. He then said he would be back Monday morning(this was friday night at 9pm) to do the job. All the while my faucet dripping. Monday morning I received a call saying they just couldn't do the work and that I should just do it myself and or look into having all the plumbing in my house replaced. He said this would be 10 to 20 thousand dollars without really trying to even fix the faucet. He flashed a flashlight on it to confirm the leak, that's about it. This is frustrating and honestly terrible service. I'll never use them again. All the while my water keeps ticking and my monthly bill exceeds 1200 dollars. I'm sorry my job wasn't large enough for this company. When I DO need to replace my pipes, they won't be getting my business. I hate writing this but I'm so disappointed.

They came out, bid $14.5k to replace part of the drainpipe, $21k to replace it all. They wanted $495 extra to give me the video which they took when they ran a camera down my drainpipe. Now I have to hire someone else to re-do the video in order to give a competitive estimate.

I might be able to give them more stars if they showed up to my house. Don't be fooled by their service window, they didn't actually have a plumber secured for me. They tried to find a plumber during my service window and because I wasn't able to take their call (even though I was working from home waiting for them), they canceled my service.

We needed a plumber to come out right away and was told the owner needed to give the ok. After all that issue email back and fourth I was told another story about what needed to be done in order for someone to come out. Geez none of other companies needed or asked for all this crap just to come out. I found the attitude of the employees sarcastic and rude. They are not the one to call.

This rating is a ZERO. Horrible!!!! lied and tried to take advantage of me. They really don't care about your concerns like cost etc. I learned a lot from this experience. 1. Never use South West Plumbing ever, they tried to charge me over $3K for a new water heater that still has a warrenty. 2. Search Youtube for answers, and see what should be done. You will save thousands of dollars. I have gained a lot of knowledge they don't want you to know. BEWARE!!! NEVER LEAVE THEM ALONE! That's all I have to say about it!!

Unfortunately I can't say anyone helped me. The receptionist was no help at all either. I have a ten year warranty for leaks on my water heater and it's been 8 years and it's starting to leak. I called south west plumbing in an attempt to utilize my warranty but the receptionist had no idea on their warranty policy. The lady I spoke with on the phone tried to give me the run around on who the previous plumber who did the installation was, which was 8 years ago so I can't recall. What I do know is my warranty plastered on my water heater stated 10 years for leaks, now I'm leaking at 8 years. I had many questions that couldn't be answered. It's unfortunate that south west plumbing could not honor their warranty when I had 2 years remaining. I went ahead and got a new one from Home Depot. If zero stars were an option I would smash it.
