Learn from my and others experiences. These guys are not trustworthy. A preventative maintenance job bid at $350, turned into a bid close to $6,000!! What makes the matter worse, they caused the damage that required the major repair.

Needles to say, we did not hire them. We had the job done by another reputable firm, for $450!

They quoted me $1200 to connect my disposal (which didn't have the sink lock ring after a new sink was installed) and dishwasher reconnected, of course they said the disposal needed to be changed out with the only one he sold which was $940 + the 236 for the air gap- I thanked them for their time and sent them on their way- a quick trip to home depot and $38 in parts later I had my disposal connected and a new airgap installed- thanks to youtube and the bob vila how to! - stay away from south west plumbing!

Dishonest and want to do unnecessary work to make more $$

Due to a physical condition I decided to leave the work to the professional this time. So I called South West Plumbing for an in home estimate. They came in took a good look and told me that I need to replace the whole kitchen faucet because ""it's broken"". My garden faucet needed to be replace. And for that, the plumber said he has to take apart part of the wall to find the pipe so he can replace the broken part. ""You know, as crazy as it sounds. This guy did a dumb move setting it up like this. Usually I don't have to take apart the wall to fix something like this. But he left me no choice. If I was doing it I would not set it up this way."" He said it with confident. He gave me a detail list of price on each project. It was a total over $800 dollars. That's not including patching up the wall for the second project. I thanked the plumber and his technician and that was the end.
The leaking kitchen faucet could be fixed with a simple change of rubber ring. And the broken garden faucet just need to be replaced. Both parts should cause less than $10. Now I don't mind paying for the labor since I can't walk or bend down normally. But this so called professional wanted to charge me more for work that's completely unnecessary. He said he's been doing it for over 20 years. You would think that for a guy so experienced he would know how to fix it like a pro. But from I've seen, either he knows too well or he doesn't know anything at all. I dislike service providers that are dishonest to their customers. This is a company I will never call again.
If you need plumbing work done in your house, get at least 3 estimates. A good service provider is hard to come by now a day. Like my friend said, sometimes an in home estimate is for them to come in and see how much you can afford base on how nice your house look. Don't be afraid to spend a little more time shopping around for service providers. It will save you a lot of $$!

I should have read the reviews before calling up South West Plumbing.

We discovered we had a leaking pipe in the basement and called up South West. They came out the next day went downstairs and surveyed the damage. After about 10 minutes of poking around the two guys went outside to write up a quote. I thought it may be pricey but I was shocked when he handed me a $6,700 estimate!!!!

In the quote they said aside from the leaking pipe in the basement, all our kitchen pipes needed to be upgraded immediately and they needed to dig along the side of our house to put a pipe vent up to the roof. They were nice enough but there was diatribe of upselling of their other services I never inquired about along with a five minute explanation how they clean pipes I didn't care to hear. I just wanted them to leave.

After they finally left, I decided I wanted a second opinion, so I called Joe The Plumber. Needless to say, it only cost $200 to get the immediate problem fixed and the upgrade to the pipes (which we will be calling him to do) would only cost around $500. So $6,000 to put a unneeded pipe vent in?! Thanks but no thanks.

BEWARE!!

I had a coupon for some kind of inspection and thought I'd have them out to look at our radiant heating system cause it's always warm. They convinced me to replace the filters on the heating unit (a few 100's) and put a switch in so I could turn my heating on/off. What happened to the coupon? I just got charged a bunch.

Within a day we couldn't get hot water in the shower consistently. They came out again for free which was nice and all, but then again what I paid for didn't work so that's standard. They basically didn't do anything so we've come up with a tedious solution.

We have a guest out 2 months later and the hot water is toast. It takes 3 days to get someone out and I'm charged $218.96. I just paid you guys 2 months ago to fix 2 things at my place and you're charging me AGAIN and claiming it's just a cheap heater? He said he just touched it and now it's working. What REALLY upset me is that he tells me I need a new heater and it'll cost $5755. I looked up the heater online and the top of the line by that brand is $2,000.

Honestly, I think since I agreed to the filters they knew they could fleece me. Now I'm going elsewhere. These guys just want to overcharge for anything.

2nd star is for friendly customer service when you call them. Good phone response and friendly people it seems.

Mike V. and his coworker Mike were skilled, experienced and timely. Mike V. handled our plumbing issues honestly and and effectively with no clean up needed afterward. They were in and out with ease and informed me clearly of our issues and the different ways of handling them. I appreciated Mike V.'s special attention to detail in explaining the repair work in layman's terms. Mike installed our new water heater with stealth precision and giving me the hands on experience of actually turing on the water heater myself. My only regret in the experience is that I forgot to use my coupon for $45.50 which was the main reason we called South West Plumping. Pennies compared to our $3200 bill but every penny counts for us. I would definitely recommend Mike V. and his coworker Mike for your next plumbing job!

I called this company because I had leaking problem with my toilet.
A guys showed up and looked at where the problem is and said it was a easy fix. But apparently took 40min to finish the job. I mean just on a leak issue..
After he was done, I went to check and I was not pleased with the result at all... He told me that my toilet was not balance equally so he brought pieces of plastic to slide them in... It looked very unprofessional...
Though this guy left with charging me $350... very expensive...
And a day after, I already seen a leak from the same place, so I had to called him over again... He was unable to find out why and couldn't fix it...

May be he didn't have enough experience... but I was not pleased with it at all..
So I won't be calling this company again ever

I don't know what to say except that my experience with Southwest Plumbing was disappointing and strange.

I called to get an estimate on adding a gas line for a new stove/oven. The person whom I spoke to on the phone was nice and answered all of my questions. Not all plumbers work with gas or install new lines, but she assured me they did.

However when the technician arrived he told me as I opened the door that he ""didn't do this kind of work"". He hadn't even introduced himself yet. He was rude and unpleasant and didn't seem to want to be here at all. When I pressed him on why Southwest would bother to make an appointment and send a technician he didn't really have an answer. He just said, ""Some guys do this kind of work but I don't"". I asked if that meant that Southwest should send someone else he said ""No"".

Then he turned and left.

Needless to say I won't be using any of Southwest""s services ever again.

Dominique recently repaired a sewage pipe at my parents house.Very good work and professional. They explained everything they worked on and made sure to show us the problems encountered. Cleaned up and put everything back that they had moved to start the job. Would highly recommend.

I don't even want to give them a 1-star. This is a company that will scam you every inch of the way. Just had a front of house hose faucet replaced and it took them maybe 20 minutes total time. These lousy crooks charged me $800 and i even had a $40 coupon. Don't ever call them. They will rip you off. They should be closed down. I am reporting them to the better business bureau! They should be run of town!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
