The rep that came out to look at the job charged $400.00+ just to tell us that he could not do it like we wanted. Then he came in with an outrageous price to do a simple job of hooking up a washer and dryer. The guy definitely needs some people/sales skills. He took me for $400.00 but that will be the last dollar he ever sees. I hope this stops someone else from being raped across the coals. He was proud to tell me there are only so many plumbers licensed to do work in Texas, well the others will get a chance to make money.

These guys charge so much money, I could almost buy another house instead of having them repair my simple leak. It cost me $1250 to tell me it would cost $4000. Another contractor did it for less then their estimate. I sure hope Pleasanton gets a better plumbing company.

I'm 71 years old, 100% service connected Disabled Veteran, and retired from the Army after 24 years of service. I called South Texas Plumbing and told them I had a kitchen sink that was stopped up. Earlier I attempted to clear the stoppage myself with a 25' plumbers snake, but I was unsuccessful in my endeavor. I called South Texas South Texas Plumbing during normal work hours and they came out the same day. Before starting the work I was told it would cost $357.50 to clear the stoppage. Needless to say sticker shock hit me, but I felt there was nothing I could do. The gentleman cleared the stoppage very quickly (within 20 minutes) and I paid the $357.50 as told. I was never informed gthere is a 10% Seniors Discount (65 years old or older) and a Military Discount which I am qualified for. I did tell the plumber that I was over 70 years old and that I retired from the Army and was 100% service-connected Disabled. My sink does flow now. But as I stated he never mentioned the two discounts which I am eligible for. Price was way too high ($357.50) for 20 minutes of work, and all he did was use his snake for a few minutes. The work was good; however, anyone would have a beef with them not giving me or even mentioning the two Discounts which should had been applied to the price. Ken Hettich

0 stars! The owner Steve is rude and was yelling at me lying about a quote he gave me even when he did not! They charged me $426, they were here less than 30 min and did not send me a receipt. I called the office to ask for my receipt because I want to know why exactly I was charged that much and that's when the owner, Steve, starts yelling at me telling me because they did a job and that no one ever request a receipt! Do NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE THIEVES! Rude, and way over priced. The plumber was nice but not nice enough to be worth $426, and he had his young apprentice doing the actual work! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY, horrible business practice. And they didn't even honor the 10% military discount

I hired them due to a sewage smell in one of the bathrooms and $840.00 later a hole in my wall that I did authorize to find a vent pipe with no luck I stopped the bleeding and told there "master plumber" to stop working on finding the problem. And it turns out a $15 bad wax ring that they installed around 1 year ago was the problem that my renters discovered with no plumbing experience. What should have been a $100 max job cost me $865 and a hole in my wall to replace a wax ring.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY

Did they get the job done? Yes. Was the pricing fair? NOT AT ALL. I would have said no to them doing the work if I didn't need the repair to turn my water back on and had time to get anyone else. $105 per hour and the time starts from the moment they leave their office to get to you. It's 7 miles from my house and it took them 40 minutes to get there (no traffic). Instead of the repair I needed, I opted for them to just put a cap on the PVC pipe so I can reopen the water without it spilling in my yard. He was quoting me some 3 to 5 hours worth of work for something I know takes less than an hour. I have done the repair myself before but could not do it this time because my dogs broke the pipe to where the repair had to be done under the crawl space in the house. I live alone with a special needs child I cannot leave alone in the house, otherwise, I would have done it myself. The total cost to do it myself would have been maybe $30, with all materials and tools needed for what he did. He charged me $31.50 for a PVC cap that is worth less than $1, and for using PVC glue and primer that he clearly already had open from doing normal jobs. Charged me 2 full hours when he was only there 1 1/2 (of which 40 minutes were spent "driving from the office to my house"). Total $240 to install a cap on my PVC pipe so I can turn my water back on.
Don't get me wrong, they did the job right, the plumber was very nice and professional, but being they were local, I thought their pricing would be better. There is no value in the service they provided. Way too expensive. Even Roto-rooter was gonna charge me less, but they could not make it until the next day and I needed to turn on the water. Very disappointed with the pricing.

We had to call for a plumber today and South Texas Plumbing responded quickly. Their fee was very reasonable considering what they had to do. Our sewer discharge line separated under our manufactured home, which is new. Wow, what a stench! The CONTRACTOR we hired to install the water line to the meter and connect the home to the septic system did a LOUSY job. Shortly after we moved in to the new home a water line separated at a joint because it was improperly glued. And this time it was the sewer line that was also improperly installed!
South Texas Plumbing took care of the sewer line problem and we are now back in business. Thank you South Texas Plumbing!!!!

Excellent company hot water fixed within hours of call highly recommend !! Jessie Tovaas

Would never use these guys again. I own a restaurant and had them replumb the 3 compartment sink. Hasn't been 90 days and two of the sinks are leaking! Called them and said they would come out but for a fee, poor workmanship and they want me to pay again! I spent a lot of money the first time! My advice, stay away from this company!
