if I could give zero stars I would've.
we trusted this company years ago when we had a huge leak, what we ""thought"" they fixed the leak and replaced all new pipes throughout the house, Dennis promised us we wouldn't have a leak again, 5 months later We have a leak under the slab that they said ""they replaced"" of course we were told it was probably this that yada yada yada we just wanted it fixed! They put a new water bladder tank in for us, fast forward to 3 years later and the tank is garbage the life expectancy says 8-15 years on this model! Dennis denied it was the tank and blamed our well company, Months go by and plenty of money wasted on different companies coming out to check the issue, well company a heat service company and a different plumber all say it's the tank and how dare south shore leave us hanging like that and simply not take any responsibility. They wanted to charge us to put another one in, can you belive this company, so of course we had someone else put one in, to make matters worse all the new piping south shore did when we had the big leak, well now we have another leak from their ""new piping"" in the attic which created our ceiling to fall through in our boiler room all from a leaky s@@ty job his workers did originally. He avoids my calls and gets nicole to do his dirty work! Avoid these like the plague, don't get fooled by Dennis's nice acomadating act in the beginning just like we did!

I needed a bathroom sink and faucet installed. Mike told me what I needed and purchased the needed material. Mike was neat, clean and professional. made sure there were no leaks. Was on time when he said he would be there. A happy customer.

We had first contacted South Shore to adjust the temperature on our shower. Mike and Mitch came out and discovered several other problems that needed to be repaired. Two days later, Mike showed up and fixed everything, including installing a few extra fixtures. This was our third time using them and have been satisfied every time.

Beware-Beware-Beware: two Spanish guys one with glasses the other with a messed up left eye! (FYI I am Spanish myself so it's not their ethnicity)

Installed a gas hot water heater. Had a nasty exhaust smell all throughout my house with two little kids in the house. Was never advised to open a window or anything prior to them starting the job. ""Master plumber"" said he didn't smell anything but everyone else did. Then to top it off after they left I went down stairs to clean up the rest of their mess I noticed they had stolen stuff from me that I had out. Called Nicole in the office and she only addressed the odor not her workers stealing from my residence! What a professional company they steal from homes they service and keep their backs to the cameras when walking outside!
I would not recommend using them unless you like not trusting people you let inside your home!

Our heat went out. The furnace would not operate. We had added oil to the tank and may have stirred up sludge. Day one. Two techs come out. They change the filter and the strainer. The system is not working when they leave. They billed for the visit. I call the company back. What the heck,no heat!! And you got paid ! Day two. The receptionist tells me the master plumber is coming out. He checks the system. He tells me that the line frm the tank to the furnace may need to be replaced. The problem is that he doesn't complete the repair. I call the company(this is Friday) and am told that the company hours are Monday to Friday 9-5. The message service sends a message to the company. It is now after 5pm. I call a different company. They come out, check the line, confirmed it isn't blocked. The burner assembly is corroded. New part is ordered. 8 am the next morning, techs arrive, replace the unit, and cycle the unit to CONFIRM that it is working !! I don't hear from South Shore by 3pm. No Saturday or Sunday hours ??? I call back and tell them not to worry, I found some great service techs elsewhere... There used to be a great company called South Shore Heating. The owner was in an accident and had to retire. This is NOT them. Be warned.

Called and asked for a quote. They told me they would send someone over to take a look. Charged me $ 86.40 ($80 + tax) just for the quote!!!!!!!!!!! This is something that should have been explained in the phone call, NOT after I was given quote.
Lost our business for sure!

Customer service is back!
They answered the phone when I called, and called me back when researching a question. They discussed the job and costs upfront, set an appointment and showed up on time. The plumber was knowledgeable and did a thorough job. I was very pleased and would use them again.

Very disappointed with my experience. Came to my house to look at job and said will give us a quote the next day. We waited a week with no response so we called the office and the girl who answered said she didn't see anything in the computer and will speak to her boss and call us back later that day. Two weeks later no response. If they did not have the time or the interest in the job a simple phone call to say so would be the professional thing to do.
