After having a mediocre experience with another plumbing company that had been recommended to us, we took to Yelp for our latest project. Eric was responsive and able to fit us in the day after we called. He texted us with updates so we knew when to expect him. He fixed the leak under our sink quickly and was also able to fix an exterior irrigation pipe that had cracked over the winter months. Overall he was friendly, knowledgeable, quick, and reasonably priced. We look forward to working with Eric again on some less urgent projects we've been meaning to tackle.

The furnace in our garage stopped working: it ignited but the fan didn't spin. Eric took a look at it on Wednesday and came back on Friday with the new part to fix it. In the process of replacing the broken motor he determined the fan was loose -- which he fixed on site! -- and that the original electrician probably didn't wire it properly. Yikes!

Very friendly, great communication, and excellent results. Will hire again!

My wall heater was turned off after having Southwest Gas come out and determine there was a potential problem with the heat exchanger. I frankly thought a new wall heater may be necessary given it was 30+ years. I reviewed the write ups for South Shore Plumbing and Heating in yelp and other similar websites and decided to give Eric a call.

He was prompt in his response and we set a time. He arrived as scheduled and was quick to examine the wall heater. While doing so he explained what he was doing and why. Bottom line the wall heater needed a good cleaning maintenance which Eric accomplished within an hour. After testing the results of his efforts, he put the wall heater back in service.

I found Eric to be friendly and professional while resolving the issues with the wall heater and plan to call him whenever I need his services again. I would not hesitate to recommend him to my friends and neighbors.

I requested recommendations about my forced air furnace and also about the feasibility of adding A/C. Eric was very helpful providing background info on my particular furnace (installed in 1976) and that it was still good. He cleaned it and installed new filters. He came up with a modification to the circuitry so that the fan can be turned on by itself which adds some cooling.
This contrasts dramatically from another company in SLT where they tried to scare me into thinking I was poisoning myself with carbon monoxide. They refused to even change the filter or clean it - did not even plug it back in!

Eric was great to work with. He has done two repairs for our home in 2019. One was a leaking pipe in the floor of the second story. The other was a gas line modification (that the original plumber never bothered to complete). Eric was thoughtful, knowledgeable and reasonable. He had access to our home when we were out and completed the work with no issues thereafter. We feel very fortunate to have found him and have been referring him to friends and neighbors since. Eric and Terry of South Shore Plumbing and Heating are THE VERY BEST! I have a home that was built in 1955 so there have been some surprises as they have worked on an extended project on my remodel. They never blink an eye...they just dig in and get the job done. Knowledgeable, hard workers and reliable as well. When they finish for the day..the work area is clean and neat. I left a message requesting a quote for installing a central air system and making minor repairs to duct work and some plumbing repairs while they are at it.

They are apparently in the fortunate position of too much work, which is great for them, and fine for them to reject my job, but I felt the message left telling me so was very condescending, and apparently they didn't even listen to my message enough to hear the part about installing central air.
