Great Service and at a reasonable price!

I called Wayne on Friday afternoon looking to have a new sink and dishwasher piped in and he made an appointment for Saturday morning. He was prompt, professional and explained everything about his rate structure and he got the job done.

He explained the job any choice points that I had, and gave his opinion as well, but ultimately let me make the decisions.

I'd call him again anytime.

Wayne showed up right on time, described issues and answered questions clearly and decisively, and overall really knew his stuff. Went above and beyond contacting contractors for us who could assist us with some tile repair due to plumbing issues as well. Strongly recommend!

I called South End Plumbing for a broken food disposal. Wayne came in the next day to check out the food disposal and agreed that it is broken. He then told me that he has a new one and that he can help me put it on. (At this point, he didn't mention the charge for this 1 FOOD DISPOSAL). He went back to his car, grabbed it and without asking me if I wanted to pay for it, he was about it change my food disposal. Then, I asked for the price and he told me it was $350!! for one food disposal!

FYI people, he has already charged me $40 for call in fee, $140 hourly fee and now he wants me to pay another $350 for a food disposal when I can get this on Amazon for most expensive $110.

Of course I told him about the price at amazon. He didn't even try to defend himself. All he did was telling me if I like it or not that's the price if Im not happy, he can just leave. Sure. So I asked him to leave and paid him his price $40+$70(even though he was only there for 15min).

This isn't the end of the story. He later on called me again and told me that he wasn't trying to rip me off and that that's how much all plumbers charge.

I dont know why he had to mention it to me again about this, but I just think its ridiculous that I have to pay $350 for one item plus hourly service fee.

Worst experience ever.

My suggestion: ALWAYS ask him before he tries to fix anything for you for a ridiculous amount of charge.

I found Wayne on Yelp and hired him to hook up a gas grill on the rooftop. He was on time, very pleasant and gave a great price. Wayne is extremely professional and I would recommend him to anyone in need.

I am a do-it-yourself-er that ran into trouble when replacing a toilet refill mechanism turned into a leaking supply line that required I shut off water to my entire unit. I called several companies that night, and Wayne was one who called the next morning. He was there by 1 pm, finished by 2 pm, including the supply line issue and the toilet mechanism replacement. The competing company wanted to charge a hefty ""diagnosis/service"" fee just to show up, never mind parts and labor. Wayne's fee was less than the competitor's ""diagnosis"" fee! This is the reason I have stopped using the competitor, and I'm glad I found an alternative in Wayne.

I found South End Plumbing on Yelp and called because my garbage disposal had stopped working and my sink was getting backed up. Wayne answered my call at 6:30p and by 7:00p my disposal was working again...and the best part...it cost $0!!!! Wayne walked me patiently through every step of how to diagnose the problem and fix the disposal on my own all over the phone.
I highly recommend South End Plumbing and will definitely be going back.

I had a problem with my kitchen sink the day before the memorial day weekend - which apparently is a very difficult day to find a plumber to take a call. Wayne called me back the same day, helped me troubleshoot the problem over the phone including looking at some photos I sent him of the situation, and he told me how to fix it since it was reasonably easy. The result was my sink was fixed before the long weekend, and also he did not charge me since he did not need to come in person.

Wayne was fantastic. My garbage disposal was broken (or so I thought). Glass had accidentally gone down and gotten stuck. I called South End Plumbing to schedule someone to come. I got an answering machine and left a message. Wayne called back a few hours later and said he could try to help me over the phone for free! So he talked me through it (ended up buying an allen wrench from Homed Depot) and followed his advice. He even offered to come later in the evening if it didn't work. Wonderful and friendly service at no cost!

For months we'd suspected running water from our toilet and I'd taken out the handbook to figure out an adjustment that would stop it. Not much of a fix- our most recent water bill was up $500! We called Wayne who came over that evening, diagnosed the problem quickly and fixed it with supplies he had with him. It was all fixed within an hour and for a fraction of what we were squandering with the leak.

Our water heater went just a week ago (last week of February, when it was super cold!), and it left our basement inundated! I called Wayne to see if he could replace our hot water heater that day. Thankfully, he said he could be there by 12pm, and he also offered the service of pumping the water out (for an additional fee). This was really helpful because another company told me they would not put in the water heater until I called yet another company to pump out the water from the basement. That would have left us without a water heater for 24+ hours! Wayne worked hard and got the job done by about 5pm. It was great to have hot water the same day. Extra props that he did all this on such a bitterly cold day!
