I have rarely written a negative review for any company, but I have been so frustrated with South County Plumbing Company that I feel compelled to warn other consumers. My family and I are new to the Bay Area, and went through Fidelity National Home Warranty for a recent plumbing issue. Granted, we are renting this home and the crawl space has proved to be a problem in assessing and fixing the issue. However, the first time they were scheduled to come nobody bothered to show up. They came the next week, and unfortunately could not fit under the house and so they decided to leave. I called later that day to ask them to help us make a plan in order to allow them to do the work, they said they would return my call - which they did not do. When I contacted them again, we offered to have a carpenter at the home to open up the floors for their technician for the next scheduled appointment- they did not show up again. All the while my family has been unable to use our kitchen, which I'm sure you can imagine the inconvenience. There are many other options in the vast Bay Area, I advise you to chose one of them.

I wish I could give them a 0 or -1. This company is a fraud. We were referred to this lousy and fraudulent service by AHS. We had to call them 3 times to get a service order scheduled. Then without fixing our plumbing problem, this company charged us 100$ . A total fraud!! Beware of this referral from AHS.

If you are looking for stress, hire this company. This has been a nightmare company to work with. I'm not sure why or how they are still in business. They were referred by American Home Shield to repair a water leak. They don't answer their phones or return phone calls, they miss appointments, say they have to order parts and never do. I could go on and on. American Home Shield really needs to review Yelp to see what reviews this company is getting. I sure wish I had!

I have to echo my previous reviewers in saying that this is the worst, most unprofessional plumbing company I have ever encountered! They do not return phone calls, claim to have ordered parts for my shower but I'm doubtful they ever did. Been dealing with them for 10 days now. Will be calling AHS today to request another plumbing company.

Do not hire this company. They did not return to complete the job. After a week of calling them, never once did they answer the phone nor did they return any of my phone call messages. I ended up hiring another company.

Worst company I've ever had to deal with. Was referred by American Home Shield. It took the company 5 days to contact me. I work 12 hour days and wasn't able to get w/them for a couple of days, when I did call the company was already booked up. I explained I had an active leak and that made no difference. Set up an appt for Today. Wasted the whole morning waiting for the plumber that never showed up. When I called to find out if there was a delay was told I wasn't on the list for today. The owner's daughter or wife was a total witch. Very Rude!!!! hung up on me 3 times. Called AHS to let them know. Will also be reporting this company to the BBB. Dont Use This company.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had a plumbing emergency and found South County Plumbing. They rushed out right away. I needed a new water heater, but they informed me that it would be a day or two for the installation. I am pregnant so they rushed to get me a water heater and installed it the next day bright and early. They were polite and respectful, very professional. they worked WITH me FOR me, By far the best service I've had with a plumbing service. I would recommend them to my friends and family. I ALWAYS call south county plumbing after that. They have done anything and everything for me.

Anna was very helpful with an warranty on a water heater they replaced approx. 2 yrs. ago. She connected my with the local supplier and I got a new water heater that very day. Most grateful for Anna's customer care, promptness and taking the extra step to help me with some of the foot work.

I was referred to South County Plumbing by American Home Shield. Had a non-functioning hot water heater. South County came out, diagnosed a gas valve clogged with mineral deposits, and replaced the valve. Two weeks later, same problem. They returned, told me same problem had happened, and told me I should consider replacing the hot water heater (2 years old; replacement cost $1,500). I requested a 2nd opinion thru American Home Shield. Another plumber came, told me the original problem had recurred due to South County Plumbing not having flushed the tank of mineral deposits before replacing the valve. They also told me there was absolutely no reason to replace the hot water heater. Since my home warranty doesn't cover routine maintenance (flushing mineral deposits from the tank), I paid the 2nd plumber ""out of pocket"" to do this before they replaced valve again.

I will not use South County Plumbing again. Not only did they not advise me to have the tank flushed prior to doing their repair, they then told me to consider replacing my 2-year-old water heater when it failed 2 weeks later. Very lame!
