They were quick to setup a time to look at my water heater. They gave me a 2 hour window but never showed up. No one picked up the phone at the office and I never got a call telling me they couldn't make the time or would be late. Can't vouch for anyone that doesn't respect my time

They were assigned a home warranty repair by Fidelity. They're supposed to call and schedule the date/time by the next day. I never received a call. A few days later, I called them with no answer. After 7 days, I asked Fidelity to assign to contractor with at least 4 Yelp stars, which fortunately they did (and that experience was great).

This should be zero stars for the worst customer service, unreliability and unprofessionalism! First house call was in February for simple tub drain and leaky faucets. They left saying they needed some parts and would come back soon. No call back ever!! I repeatedly called to no answer. Finally got the owner Kevin back out in APRIL! Three months later! Says the technician who called on us no longer works for them thus the delayed response! Still needed parts awaiting a call back...It is now end of April. I give up!! Even though under warranty and the only reason I assume anyone would hire this company because they must be the MOST unreliable and unresponsive plumbing company in the whole Bay Area!!!

So unbelievably disappointed with their customer service and management. We never even got to make an appt because they are so unprofessional. My home owners insurance assigned them to me and after a week they finally reach out to me. I spoke to two different woman at the office: one couldn't find my contract number and the other would call me and act like I'm not returning her phone call. Do you have my paperwork or not... I can't imagine working with them beyond this point!

If I could, I would give them zero star. I don't even know why people run a business if they have no customer service. I rarely write reviews especially the bad ones because it could impact someone's livelihood; however sometimes you are forced to write one especially if it's repetitive.

This particular contractor has been assigned twice by AHS for the plumbing issues in my house and the result has been the same nightmare. There is NEVER anyone who picks up the phone or returns the voice mails. On top of that, AHS only assigns them and you feel stuck. Two days ago, my water heater started leaking and had no hot water. I left 5 voice mails with these guys in 48 hours without any callback. At the same time, I spent hours with AHS to have someone else assigned or let me use some other plumber which those suckers won't allow. So finally I had to pay $1500 out of my pocket to get a plumber and replace my water heater. I'm going to now go all out against AHS.

Our water heater broke on Christmas Day. We were assigned South County Plumbing per my request by AHS - despite today (Dec 26th) being a holiday, I called in the morning and they sent a technician out 3 hours later, who fixed the problem. Couldn't be happier. Highly recommended.

South County Plumbing was contracted through Fidelity National Home Warranty to repair a leak in my house. I waited 2 weeks without the use of my kitchen (including Thanksgiving) since they needed to schedule someone with a ladder to reach the leaking pipe.

I called South Country Plumbing days in advance to confirm the service date, since I would need to take time off work, and double checked that they were bringing a 28' ladder.

On the service date the technician arrived without any ladder or tools of any kind. He then eyeballed the leak and claimed it was 40' high. I said that assessment was absurd and he left. I later measured the distance to be 19' with a laser measure.

Because South County Plumbing reported the 40' distance to my home warranty service they will no longer cover the repair. And because South Country Plumbing would not provide an estimate of the cost to fix the pipe my insurance company will not pay out any money for me to make the repair myself.

In my view, South County Plumbing uses the relationship with Fidelity Home Warranty to acquire service fees without any intention of performing repairs.

My experience is totally opposite to the most reviews here. ...
I was referred to South County plumbing by AHS.
The situation I had was pretty grim. I could not use water in the kitchen at all. The pipes in the connection of garbage disposal to the sink got rusted to the point that garbage disposal simply fall off... I had a big hole in the sink.
Reading all the reviews here I was preparing myself to week of sitting on the phone , complaining and living without water in the kitchen. I was WRONG!
Right after AHS assignment, I called the company and left a voice mail, just in case they did not get assignment properly.
The nice girl called back at 7PM and scheduled appointment next morning in 8-10AM window.
The technician came promptly at 9, looked at the damage, said ""it is bad"" (it was bad) and ""let me send pictures to my boss"". Then he started working. Sorry I did not even got his name.
A little over an hour later I was shown my kitchen in pristine condition. He replaced sink inserts, some piping, connectors and garbage disposal. All the mess was cleaned up. He collected my AHS deductible and was out on his way.
Another impressive thing is that , he had all needed parts with him. He did not need to come back later with the parts - which is often the issue with contractors.
What else would you possibly want from a plumbing contractor? Perfect job!

Upstairs sink valve would not open for hot water only. Cold worked fine. Requested to have an angle stop valve and faucet supply hose replaced on an upstairs bathroom sink. Tech showed up and while changing out the valve and hose, he broke my faucet so it now leaked from the faucet. There was no leak before he arrived. He turned off both hot and cold so we had no water at all and couldn't use the sink. He went to leave and my wife asked what would happen next. He told her he ""didn't know if he could find the part to fix the faucet at all"". My wife was concerned as now we had no water and he told her ""someone will call you within a week or two"" and was quite rude. Completely unacceptable.
This service was through my home warranty company so we complained through them. They contacted South County Plumbing were told lies. South County told them the repair was all complete and and that I must have broken the faucet. My response to that was that the faucet had cold water and wasn't leaking when they arrived. When he left we had no water and a leaking faucet.
Completely incompetent and rude on top of it. If you value your home, don't use this company.

I was referred to South County plumbing by AHS for our garbage disposal that was not working. I made an online claim with AHS on a Saturday and by Tuesday I still had not heard from South County Plumbing. So I called them and scheduled a time for someone to come out.

Thursday between 8-10am was our window. In my experience with other vendors, usually when you are scheduled a windowed time, they usually get there towards the end of the window. Which is really annoying. But Kevin was right on time which was unfortunate for us because we weren't there. lol! :-/ (We have kids to take to school)

So we called back and were able to get him to come the next day between 7-9am. Kevin was at my door at 6:57am on the dot. I really appreciated the promptness. He came in did his job fixed my disposal and was on his way. Very pleasant.

My only complaint was this company's receptionist! Wow! she sounds like she hates life! She answered the phone with the most annoyed demeanor. Like she was so annoyed and inconvenienced that she had to answer the call. Totally bland, no personality. I could literally feel her rolling her eyes and hear her sighing, and huffing and puffing about me bothering her to schedule an appointment for my garbage disposal. Seriously it sounded like someone was twisting her arm behind her back to take this call. Totally unprofessional. I think this company could do better than that and have much better reviews without this receptionist being the first sour impression. Total shame!
