My Mom has used this company for years with both her own home and her rentals. The price was always fair. I like them personally and appreciate the willingness to come as soon as they can after calling them. I called them recently to replace a water heater. It was done fine but everyone has told me I paid a really high price for this and the highest it should be is 1200.00 and that is the top. I paid 1600.00. I was sticker shocked, to say the least. They did take the old one away, buy the new one (cost unknown) and install it but after people told me this was a really high price, I did some research and it did indeed seem to be very high based on Angie's list prices and word of mouth. I'm really disappointed that I was charged so much when my Mom was a long time customer. I'm now concerned about what he is charging for the rental properties. I used to really like them but now, the jury is still out.

I had the unpleasant experience of having this man work next door to my house. He was yelling outside our window when I came out and politely said I had a sleeping baby and could he please not yell he was very rude and flippant. All he had to say is I'm so sorry but I can't be any quieter. When I proceeded to tell him that I was simply trying to ask politely he was even ruder. If you want a rude, disrespectful person to work for you then go ahead and hire this guy. Personally I'd find someone much better and with better reviews.

Best plumbers around and their family owned!! Great prices and sweet father-son duo. I would recommend to all my family and friends. They came to my house cause of my kitchen sink was clogged. They were in and out within 40 minutes and only charged me $95 for the whole thing. I've had other plumbers charge trip, labor, and parts, so that is a steal. They are get and I will continue to us their service.

I am extremely disappointed with this business. I just bought a home about 2 months ago and had an emergency plumbing issue, these people came recommended and after explaining what the issue was and letting him know that my bathrooms had previously been snaked he went ahead and sneak them anyway after him telling me that that probably wasn't going to fix that issue. He charged me $125 to not fix the issue and that same evening the problem and my bathrooms reoccurred. I called the sewer pros and by me telling them the same story regarding what was happening on my bathrooms he knew exactly what it was and he fixed the issue within 15 minutes. I called Chula Vista router to let him know that the problem had have been solved and then I felt like I paid him for nothing and he said that he would do nothing about it. Point being I feel robbed and do not recommend this company at all

South Bay Rooter are now our go-to plumbers. Explained everything and didn't mind us asking lots of questions. Found the leak in our downstairs bathroom and helped us take photos for the insurance company, even wrote out a detailed invoice for us. Dave and his son are great.

I would highly recommend South Bay Rooter for plumbing repairs/maintenance. They are reasonably priced, honest, punctual, and have a great deal of integrity. Had them replace the commode in my master bath and they ""went the extra mile"" to ensure they got a commode that met my expectations. And when the install was finished they were very good about leaving the bathroom tidy. Oh, and a bonus they are a family owned/operated business and they're Christ followers!

Absolutely terrible service! I bought a condo to remodel and it had a crimped line where the water line should go for the fridge. I called these guys to install the correct fitting so that when the fridge was installed I could hook up the ice machine.

They got it installed and i paid them $145 cash for the work. He absolutely would not take a credit card, so I had to walk run across the street to an ATM to get cash. 1 month later, after the remodel, the fridge comes and the Sear install guy right away tells me that it's the wrong size. He said that EVERY fridge ice line runs a 1/4 line and the plumbers installed a 3/8 and that they should have known better.

So after not being able to get a hold of the plumber (his number was disconnected) I randomly ran into him at my complex while he was working on another job. I was there to meet a Sear's service man to work on something for the fridge.

So after I get the plumber to look at the job he rudely says ""it's your fault"" ""I told you to get a connection"" WHAT?!?! You told me what? He was very rude and would not admit that he put the wrong line on there. He said that it could fix it if I paid him $87 for his time and the probably $5 part. I was so gassed I just wanted it done so I told him to do it.

After he left the Sear's service man (a different one from the delivery one from before) told me that the guy was an idiot and he should have known better, all fridge water lines are 1/4. He also told me I could just go to Home Depot and get a this certain connector for less than $10 and install it in 5 seconds.... something the South Bay Rooter plumber failed to mention because he wanted me to pay him $80 in labor/time when I live across the street from Home Depot and it was HIS fault in the first place. So I called and told the guy to just forget it. So now I paid all that money for a halfassed solution to get my ice maker working.

WOW! I would never deal with this guy or South Bay Rooter every again.... and neither should you!
