The service that South Bay Leak Detection provides is very unique and specialized, but what they charge is very reasonable. They are really my go-to guy to find active leaks and get the issue fixed. I can't say enough good things about South Bay Leak Detection. I noticed my pool water level dropping faster than it should in cold weather, and gave them a call to schedule an appointment. Kerry was very professional. He arrived on time and explained in detail the process for finding the leak. Kerry did an extremely thorough inspection, and found the source of the leak in a very unlikely place (an abandoned port in the hot tub). Communication during and after the inspection was excellent. I've been dealing with an intermittent leak whose source couldn't be found by two plumbers. I was hesitant to move forward with the plumbers' recommendations of pulling out cabinets/drywall to locate the leak, so I sought a specialist who might be able to find it in a less invasive manner. I called South Bay Leak Detection and was connected with Kerry, who patiently explained his process and answered all my questions. I understood that this was solely a detection service and would not include a repair.

Kerry came out to the house and was able to find the source of the leak quickly, which he subsequently explained to me both over the phone and via a thorough report which included thermal imaging of the problem areas.

Leaks are serious bummers in my experience. Drywall gets ruined, you pull out the drywall, you address one area which you think is causing the leak, you repair the drywall, and then whoops - you didn't fix the right leak so now the new drywall is ruined too. As a result, I appreciate the smooth and professional service provided by South Bay Leak Detection to give me hope that the situation can be resolved quickly.

Kerry was very professional and easy to work with. I had a backyard underground water leakage for a while, and was very hesitating to call large detection companies after seeing their extremely high price and very low star ratings, and I was told they might not be able to find the leak in even 10 hours. I tried to call Kerry, and he gave a reasonable price, came on time, and quickly found the leaking point in just 1 hour. He was also very kindly giving me a free hour if there is an extra leak. It's already fixed now. I am very impressed on Kerry's works, and wouldn't hesitate to call him again if there is any other problem in the future.

Kerry was very easy to work with, on time, and professional. He came to inspect our pool which had been inspected just 6 months ago but had resumed leaking.

Kerry was extremely thorough, pressure testing the plumbing first and then even diving into the pool in order to check for hairline cracks deep below the surface. In the end, he identified two small areas near the original leak which still required patching, but also pointed out several other small cracks which we should keep an eye on. All in all, I found him great to work with and we definitely feel we got our money's worth.

Called Kerry this week when I woke up to find my inground pool developed a crack and was leaking fast. He got in touch quickly and came by the same day to investigate and test the plumbing to make sure that wasn't leaking. Quickly send a report with pictures and today he returned to patch the crack with some epoxy. Not a permanent fix but will hopefully buy us some time to continue enjoying the pool until the winter! Highly recommended!!!

Contacted SBLD/Kerry last week after trying to troubleshoot a persistent leak that our Flume monitor was reporting. Having done one pass earlier with another well known leak detection company with no success my expectations were rather low but with water leaking away ignoring it was not an option. The other companies leak detection tech seemed to be more interested in making a quick getaway rather than staying and owning the debug process.

SBLD/Kerry arrived before our scheduled slot which is a great way to make a good first impression. My gardener had already identified a potential area where the ground was over saturated. It is always great when someone is not trying to redo a process of elimination to work up billable hours. Kerry worked off that info to quickly came up with a triage plan using a combination of some great acoustic leak detection tech as well as injected pressurized gas into the hose bibs to determine possible areas to focus on. I liked how cautious he was with making sure we were not injecting into places where you may cause more issues/His contract clearly states that to be a possibility but he was super careful. The leak/s landed up being a cracked underground 1-1/4"" PVC irrigation supply line (buried 18"" below) as well as a faulty sprinkler valve with roots burrowing into it forcing it to stay open.

It has been a thrill to watch the zeros on the Flume monitoring after trying to chase this down for over a year. Underground leaks are not just pesky but require a patient and competent troubleshooter and debug time on larger properties. Leak detection tech is expensive but worth spending the $$ with real professionals. Kerry/SBLD are your guys.
