I just had the best experience working with Kevin from Sound Plumbing. Due to a leak and some minimal water damage, I needed both my bathroom toilet and sink replaced. Kevin was prompt in returning my call, coming in for an estimate and getting the work done in a jiffy. His work is top notch. Last but not least - Kevin's prices are beyond reasonable. I can't wait to have a friend who needs a plumber so I can send him their way!

Kevin has done 2 repairs for me over the past year and they were both great experiences. He's very professional, reasonable and helpful. The most recent repair got a little complicated due to my building's water pump system. He came in the next day after the repair was completed to help us figure out the water pump - something that my own building maintenance man was unhelpful with. Now, not only is my bathtub faucet working, our building's water pressure is amazing. Very happy.

Kevin was very responsive to do some general plumbing work around my condo. He was quick, took care of everything thoroughly, and suggested some minor repairs that I hadn't thought of - all at a reasonable price.

Kevin did an amazing job modernizing/ retrofitting the pluming in our condo. Other plumbers walked away from this job but Kevin thought creatively and did a wonderful job installing a brand new shower where one never existed before, putting in a new washer dryer set up where it never existed before, and replacing the old piping with copper piping for our tub/shower. I was thinking later about why I was so pleased with his service and realized that it was his attitude (along with his obvious skill). Other contractors I had come in to look at various parts of the job (particularly the plumbing) were snarky to rude about my budget and the fact that we would be doing most of the construction work ourselves. Kevin was always professional and helpful.

Kevin fixed our plumbing problem however the reasons for my 3 star rating are the following:

1. he was almost an hour late and he told us he'll be late 5 mins before the scheduled time.
2. he ended up charging us way more than his initial quote. Granted that his initial diagnosis was wrong, we ended up not having a choice since he was already there. He said the parts were more expensive, etc.
3. we referred him to other people and I think since he felt we were already committed, he wouldnt schedule an early appointment any more so my neighbors ended up waiting a week.
4. Our trusted plumber costs almost 100% less than him. The reason why we hired him was because it was an emergency and we wanted the job done ASAP and our plumber couldn't do it ASAP. As an example, our plumber charged us $80 to replace our toilet. When we asked Kevin, he quoted us $150 AND if there are any complications in changing the toilet, it might be more.
5. he didn't give us a receipt. He said he'll email it to us but he didn't even get our email address!!!

Kevin rocked our world. Our slow drain in the bathroom crawled to a stop and he was there the next day in a snow storm to make it all better. Kevin returned my phone calls and texts immediately, charged us appropriately for the work and was simply a kind, affable guy throughout the process. I will not only use him in the future but will happily recommend him to friends.

I love the idiot that gave Sound Plumbing one star. You can't make everyone happy I guess. Especially that moron. You should read the rest of his reviews, that guy wouldn't give 5 starts to his grandma for a home cooked meal

Good thing I took that dip wads review with a grain of salt. I have hired Kevin for some smaller demo projects of my old bathroom and kitchen. I will be hiring him for the trim portion of my said kitchen and the new bathroom that I intend on installing in the near future.

I'm in the skilled trades like Kevin and I know for a fact you can't find much better of a craftsman or a more honest and down to earth guy.

I'll refer him to everyone I know needing a plumber.

Kevin fix my clogged bathtub and was wonderful! He was flexible with my schedule, called to check in before he arrived and showed up right on time. He even checked the rest of the plumbing in my bathroom and tightened/fixed a few things that needed adjustment. I would recommend him to anyone. Thanks Kevin!
