Chris, the owner, and Max, are my angels!!! Bless them. I recently relocated to Palm Desert and have been in my home for only 5 weeks. I had water under my bathroom floor - the home warranty company sent a plumber, who said I had a leak in my slab and all the hot water lines had to be re-routed. Supposedly he used leak detection equipment (I had to wait 2 days for him to show up with it) - He even cut the hot water line and capped it off under my vanity - he wasn't very smart, as he left the hot water on it all other places. I called Chris this morning. Max came out within a few hours. Max couldn't understand why the one line to the sink was capped and why there had to be a re-route. Max did find out the real problem - the water under my floor was due to condensation from my AC - the condensation line went from the attic to the guest bath sink and was between the common wall of the two bathrooms. Max is amazing. Both gentlemen are honest, caring and reliable.

BEWARE! After reading reviews and speaking to Dan of SOS we made apt for him to come out to fix 3 plumbing problems we had on our new home purchase. 1) Main shower- We had a single handle shower that wasn't getting hot enough water. After examining he told us that it was an expensive cartridge replacement that Delta faucets only made for 1 yr at $180 part cost and he had to specially order and would not be able to repair at that time. 2) 2nd shower --with same faucet but too much hot water he told us he had to take out the cartridge and turn around but it could brake so it needed the same expensive part. 3) 3rd bathroom toilet wasn't flushing well. He snaked but said there was something stuck in trap and if he took off toilet it would probable break so best to replace. (Dan didn't resolve issue but did scatch the toilet with snake.)
So Dan could not repair any of these 3 problems and said to call back and reschedule but still charged us the $105 service fee.
A few days later we had another plumbing company come out that immediately took the handle off shower in 1 and adjusted the temp slightly and said he didn't think new cartridge would help but gave up flat price/ code if we wanted to try. We were not sure what to do as these plumbers had different opinions although 2nd plumber helped with main shower at no service charge. A month later we had another plumber coming for a new water softener install and he said call Delta Faucet company and get the parts and he'll help us. I called Delta to discover that Dan from SOS gave us totally incorrect and inflated prices. There never was an ""only 1 yr expensive cartridge"". They gave us the part # and told us to just go to home depot and purchase the $50 cartridge. After speaking to Delta company for a short time it was very clear that Dan either has no clue what he is doing or attempted to rip us off!! I'm not a plumber but it didn't take long to figure out what needed to be done after speaking to Delta. Also on 2) there was no way you can turn the cartridge around. Why wouldn't an experienced plumber know this!!
3) So we called a handyman as we didn't want it replace the toilet as all 4 in house matched. Our handyman snaked, took off the toilet and snaked again both sections (without scratching), took outside and flushed with hose. We couldn't find the ""stuck object"" that Dan reported. We reinstalled same toilet and it turns out it worked just fine. But Dan wanted to replace toilet at purchase cost, plus $175 fee.
It took awhile to find out that Dan either didn't know what he was doing or was trying to rip us off. I finally called the owner Chris as I felt that after explaining all this to him he could at least refund our service fee of $105. Chris said he would and text him service address....only to get a rude text and lies from Dan about situation. Then Chris said it was more than a month so no service fee refund. Yikes, what poor poor owner service. If I was a plumber and knew right away that Dan didn't have a clue or was trying to rip us off I'd get back to Chris the owner sooner.
I would avoid this company. It is more important to rip off their customers, and the owner backs up this lack of integrity.

I was referred to Chris at SOS by my best friend who used his services in his home remodel. I have a home in Rancho Mirage that had the one thing you never want to have - a under slab leak. Chris came out, without delay, and assessed the situation. He gave me various potential scenarios, and said ""let's take it step by step"". Very comforting. He coordinated everything! He brought in the leak detection company first, then his plumbers started the same day! This was the next morning after he first came out! Impressive. The work got done professionally, cleanly, and correct. ""work done right"". I am only 8 months new to the desert community, and went with my gut. As soon as I met Chris, I knew ""this is the guy"". He was on the phone with me every step of the way while his plumbers were working. I am happy to say that his conservative approach made a potential $5K-$7K job into a $1,600 job. I could not be happier. Not for the price, for having met and hired Chris and SOS. Yes, we also had a little ""lady luck"" on our side in the job, but SOS hourly rates are standard with the industry and fair. I now have my ""go to"" plumber for my future needs. I highly recommend Chris and SOS plumbing. Oh, and kudo's to Max, the lead plumber on my job. Very interested in my satisfaction, and explained everything on the way.

Great customer service, fast response time, knowledgeable, helpful and easy to deal with. What more can I say? I had a problem with very little or no hot water in two opposite areas of my house with two different water heaters. Dan knew immediately what was wrong, fixed one issue and ordered a necessary part of the 2nd issue. He came back the same day and completed the job. Everything works great and I am happily deep in hot water again. Fantastic. I highly recommend SOS Plumbing.

Dan came out and removed the old shower faucet and installed a new thermostatic valve. He did an excellent job and the price was very reasonable.

While staying at a friend's house in Palm Springs, we experienced problems with an old (1980's) vanity faucet and the shower that would not completely shut off. After calling the local hardware store, Palm Springs Hardware, for a recommendation, I called SOS Plumbing. Dan was friendly on the phone, and I explained the problems and we set up an appointment for first thing the following morning. I also messaged him some photos of the existing faucets, so he knew what stems/cartridges to bring along. He gave me a 15-minute warning call and arrived on time, with the parts he needed to do the repair. It took him less than 20 minutes to do both repairs. He also took the home owner's credit card info over the phone and was on his way shortly thereafter. I am very pleased with the service provided and highly recommend the company.

We had our building re-plumbed a number of years ago. Recently, there has been a lot of running water noise coming through the walls when either the hot or cold water was run in the spare bathroom. The Company sent over a worker to try to discover the source/problem. Ultimately, he opened the wall partially to try to determine the cause. After trying, he called the owner who came over; opened the wall more; found the pipes were not strapped and after strapping the noise stopped. Their bill was for both men 2 1/2 hours each for a total of 5 labor hours. After complaining that we shouldn't have to pay for both individuals, the bill was reduced 20% which I paid. I got a scathing text message from the owner that I should have paid the full amount and that he no longer wants our business (which over the years has been substantial). Given his 5PM Friday night text and tone and lack of customer care, I will never use SOS Plumbing again. There are many other choices in the Valley who care about customers and not afraid to admit when they have to correct a job they did wrong!

"" SENIORS AND EVERYONE ELSE BEWARE "" !!!!!!!!
My 86 year old mom call SOS plumbing for a simple break in a hot water line which was shut off for repair under her Mobile Home which was repaired by Maxwell K. and Dan M. only to get a "" bill "" not an estimate for $4,320.00 with only 40 feet of PVC and a handful of fittings , after calling Chris Embury to get a itemized ( correct bill of parts, labor and taxes ) bill for $270.00 per hr for 16 hours ( which first bill was for 6.5 hrs) I sent paperwork to Mr. Embury with two other plumbers stating Time, parts and going under the mobile home would cost $800.00 to $1500.00 Max.
What you can see after the repair is there word !!
