Founded by Gayle Hatfield at 2821 S. Jackson in Seattle.

Incorporated in 1950, the company was first known as Hatfield Plumbing and Heating.

Lou Soreano started with Gayle Hatfield in 1952 and quickly gained popularity among customers.

Lou became like a son to Gayle Hatfield.

When Mr. Hatfield decided to retire, he offered the business to Lou.

In 1967, Lou acquired the business and added Soreano's to the name.

We operated as Soreano's Hatfield Plumbing for a time.

Lou moved the business to its present location in Columbia City in 1973.

The company flourished, adding a showroom and building a strong reputation.

Growing up in the family business, Lou's son Ron learned the plumbing trade.

In 1996, Ron became the owner after buying the business from Lou.

We no longer use Hatfield in our business name.

We are now known simply as Soreano's Plumbing.

A few years ago we bought a house with a badly installed garbage disposal. Every few months the pipes started leaking. We've had 2 plumbers and two handymen by to fix it. Each one had done a bad job cutting pipes, and the ring seals kept disintegrating.

The previous time it broke, I went around trying to find a plumbing supply store that would cut a pipe for me. After trying Lowes and Home Depot, and something like 4 plumbing store stores, someone told me go to Soreano's, and the gent behind the counter looked at my pictures, said ""the problem is, it's installed wrong but if you want I can cut the pipe to size for you."" I figured that was a 7 dollar fix and I'd give it a try. He also didn't try to sell me them coming to fix it -- I wish he had, but I'm not going to take away a star for soft selling.

As he predicted, it broke again, and I called them. They came the next day, did the job right, and charged us $250. It hasn't been a problem since.

I'm so glad I called. I had a clogged kitchen sink/line and Ron took the time to explain how I could troubleshoot myself. He gave me his cell # and said I could reach out any time if I had more questions. Cut to a week later and I just didn't have the tools (or patience) to do it, so I called them to come out. They were right on time and it took only 30 min to unblock! They were super fast and very friendly. And my dog like them too! Definitely recommend :)

Soreano's gave me great advice about a kitchen faucet problem I was having. I walked in with some questions and walked out knowing exactly what to do next. They were kind and courteous even though I didn't spend any money. They will definitely get my business the next time I need any kind of plumbing help.

Soreano's has done many different jobs for me over the last five years and they always do quality work. This time they put in a gas line for a gas stove and had it done in half the time they estimated. Their crew even helped me move a table in to the house. Really nice company. Highly recommend!

Their work is great. Help and advice from office and plumbers is outstanding. Not cheap but they are really worth the cost for a quality job and work. They have experienced and expert real plumbers and treat both customers and staff very well.

I had a problem with my kitchen faucet and I called these guys. Everyone is so busy, it was going to be a few days until someone could come. After explaining my problem, they actually walked me through the repair. Awesome people. They were recommended by another plumber, and now I may not call my first company again!. Thanks.

I called Soreano Plumbing because I had a broken kitchen water facet, I mean it blew out and of course, it was Friday afternoon when things like this happen. I could not get a plumber to come to my house that day, or even the next day, Monday was the earliest appointment. I called Soreano Plumbing after another plumber referred me to them (that impressed me). Finding out that they too were booked up for the weekend, Roger asked me what my problem was. I explained that I had a kitchen facet control lever come out of facet, it being an uncommon and unusual/complicated design that I could not fix on my own like I usually could. Roger asked me to text pictures of the facet to him. I did, he responded that if I could bring the facet assembly into their showroom he could show me how to reassemble and reinstall it. I brought it in, Roger and Ron both worked on it, and showed me how to reinstall it. The facet was manufactured by Waterstone a high end and difficult repair facet that they DON'T carry. They asked me if I had a large socket wrench to tighten a locking nut, I didn't, so they loaned me the socket wrench to do it. Are you kidding me! All the while they also called to find the distributor rep to see if they could get parts if I needed them. Are you kidding me. I offered to pay them to which they refused, they asked just to return the wrench the next time I was back in Columbia City. As I was walking out the door, shaking my head in not believing my good fortune, Roger said that if it didn't work, he'd fit me in on their schedule for Monday. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Got home, followed Roger and Ron's instructions, and it worked! It is rare now days to find a company/someone that will help out, not blow you off, which they could have very easily have done, and be generous with their time and expertise. Thank you, Soreano Plumbing. You have a new customer.

We hired a Soreano plumber to check a leaky trap set up under a kitchen sink. An hour and $250 later, the absolutely incompetent ""plumber"" (he could not possibly have been licensed) left us with a fix that lasted exactly 18 hours. I ended up pulling and replacing the trap myself. Really a terrible experience.

I had originally given this plumbing outfit a great review. However, I have come to learn that they spent way too much time on the job they did for us and that we were incredibly overcharged for a diagnosis with little to no work. It's incredibly frustrating to pay over $1000 just for a diagnosis of a plumbing issue with no resolution. I will say that everybody I dealt with was incredibly professional and responsive - so no complaints there. But this outfit overcharges their customers. I have since found a plumber who is efficient, effective, and way more cost-effective so he will be my go to for any plumbing issues in the future, not Soreanos.

I had a terrible experience with Soreano's several years ago, resulting in a charge of 650 bucks for a simple faucet install. I avoided them like the plague for years after that negative experience, but I was recently looking for a part and Lowe's said Soreano's would likely be the only place that carried it. The man working the counter was rude, dismissive and of ZERO help. A friend of mine received similar shabby treatment, so this seems to be their modus operandi. So -- if you want to (1) pay a company far more than a job should cost and (2) be treated like an idiot, call Soreano's!
