I called them because my property manager recommended them. She said they were reasonable and reliable. And yes, they were.

My only complaint is that the two young gentlemen that they sent need to learn how to be more professional and aware of the customers privacy and situation. This is because they came through my gate without calling prior to arrival or calling out. Just walked into the gate up to the house and they were promptly greeted by my dog. They were scared and surprised. Luckily I was right there and was able to grab her before she bit them.

Follow up and customer service is atrocious.

First they call you delusional/liar, and say you must have had a conversation with a different plumber, and that you asked for what they normally charge, not what they're charging you, cause you approved this.

Which is news to me...cause I can't think of a single sane person who would care what you charge the other guys, only what they'd be charging them. Not to mention, if I spoke to another plumber, then why am I paying them, I should be paying the other plumber...

Be careful when you use their service and verify the times they come and leave. Even though I recorded the time they came to work and when they finished, the hours charged was more than they were actually here for. When I got the bill (through Oishi's property management), I tried to call Sonoda's and left a message but they wouldn't return my call. I also complained to Oishi's that I just moved into my unit just four months ago and couldn't have caused the clogged drain but because we share the same drain line with the next door unit and that I called for help I'm responsible for the bill. When the plumbers came, they cleared the unit next door and did nothing on my side. When I tried to get the next door neighbor to pay half, he said " they are screwing you". Sure enough I ended up being the stuckee for the bill and late fee.

After reviewing various reviews on different review sites, I almost cancelled my appointment with them but I am glad we didn't. We had a slow draining toilet so we called them to fix it for us. Unfortunately I could not be there so my wife had to do explain the situation to them. The plumber, Gino, came over to the house and quickly assessed the situation and unclogged the blockage in the sewer line in my property. But we still did not why the blockage occurred. We were told that they would have to use a camera (@ $150/ht) to look into the pipe to see why the blockage occurred since this happened more than once. It could be a break in the pipe or maybe the pipe sank making it lower than the street level. Our pipe is for my house extension and I had to install a sump with a pump due to length of the pipe and the configuration of the house and lot. Baiscally we had to make sure the sh-t went downhill. Long story short, Gino ran water into the pipe to check to see if there was any additional
Blockage to street and to the sump. While doing so, he determined that the sump pump was not working when the water was filling the sump and that we had an electrical problem and not a plumbing problem. Needless to say we did not have to use the camera and incur more cost. We saved a lot of money and now know what the real cause to our problem is can prevent it from happening again. I would definitely use Ed Sonoda plumbing again and would recommend them.

I needed replacement faucet for our condo main bathroom. Gerrick came and took care of it. Very nice respectful man and professional
Poor guy so hot in condo, but worked steady to complete job.
( gave him ice water)( wet towel to wipe face)
Definitely would call SONODA and ask for Gerrick.
Great to see people in trade, work hard to do a good job for the customer.

As the owner of an older apartment building, we were referred to Sonoda Plumbing by our rental agent. We found them to be knowledgeable, reliable and very competitively priced.
Their plumbers showed up on time, were professional and actually saved us money in the long run. There were times where we had emergency plumbing issues and they literally "saved the day." Although we had employed a few other companies, some of whom have also received great YELP reviews, I would recommend Sonoda for all your plumbing needs. I look forward to working with them in the future!
