Had an appointment window between 10am-12pm on a Tuesday morning. Waited and no one showed up. Called and found out plumber had an overnight plumbing emergency that he needed to take care of (happens) but was told he is on the way and should be my home any minute. After checking the plumber's GPS the office said it was turned off and they basically didn't know where he was but he should be there any minute. Waited another half hour and no one showed up. Called the office back and they told me he had returned to the previous job because the pipe started leaking again. The office nor the plumber once thought to pick a phone up to call me to inform me that they weren't coming to my place anytime soon. No communication at all. Had to reschedule for that afternoon between 1pm-3pm and the plumber showed up at 1:50pm. He wasn't able to finished taking care of the leak and changing the drain pipes out so he had to come back another day. I got a text from the office the following day that told me the plumber would be back Thursday morning between 10am-12pm. Again I waited for 2 hours and no one showed up. Got another text around noon to tell me the plumber would be there at 1:15pm. They came and finished the job then. I went down later and discovered the original leak was never fixed. The office called bright and early Friday morning wanting payment and I informed them that I still had a leak. The plumber had to come back to my house as well as he did the previous job and fix the leak. He came back Friday afternoon and fixed it. Of course Monday morning the office calls at 7:40am wanting payment. They had no problem picking up the phone and using to collect their payment but had no intentions of picking it up to call me when there was a problem with the plumber being late or not being able to show up at all. I called the service manager and asked about any compensation for my wasted time waiting on a plumber to no show and he said there would be none. Said it was just something that happens, no different than when you go to the doctors office and wait. Thing is when you go to a doctor's office you may wait but you will see the doctor eventually. The plumber did a good job but it's the service communication that is a problem. It seems that no one knows or cares enough about the customer to pick up the phone and call when there's a problem with the scheduled wait time. They just leave the customer hanging. And they don't need to apologize because it's inexcusable to treat your customers this way and think a simple apology takes care of things.

Crooks. No heat for a week but they said I was on the schedule. Day of service they said the insurance company was not paying them for past work so they used me as a bargaining chip. For a week. No heat. Then they said they could not resolve their problem so I was getting no service.
Still no heat and no service.
How is this fair?
These people suck.
Stay away o4 you will be sorry.

I had been a fan of Solutions Mechanical/Waynesboro because of Kirk -- an excellent HVAC person. I had two multi-year service contracts with them because of Kirk. In May of 2019, I had a property with an AC problem. I learned Kirk had left the company but a new person would check the system. The new person told me that the compressor was blown and a replacement would be $8K. That same day, I had another company go to the property for a second opinion. He found that I had a fully functioning AC unit, as soon as he put the breaker in the ""on"" position. He conducted a complete check of the entire system including amp draw on the compressor, capacitor check and refrigerant levels. No issues other than a breaker in the off position were found. Out of curiosity, we got another estimate to replace the entire system (not just compressor and coils). That estimate was $3K less for a new system with a higher SEER rating. The original AC unit has now worked fine cooling the house during a very hot summer.

Worse, I wrote a complaint to the owner of Solutions Mechanical and received an email back from the office manager that Owner was out of town until the following week and he would reach out to me upon his return. Now, five months later, that owner has still not reached out to me in any manner. All I want is an acknowledgement that this was wrong (intentional or mistake) and a refund for the unused service contracts I had signed in good faith that the company would provide the same level of service with or without Kirk. I do NOT recommend Solutions Mechanical for anyone wanting an honest assessment of their HVAC needs.

If you do use Solutions Mechanical, buyer beware and be sure to get a second opinion. I have found an honest, reliable, capable and affordable HVAC person!
