David relocated to Virginia from Arkansas in 1999. He began in sales at a local supply store and later took on a leadership role in a service department. In 2013, he decided to establish his own business, Solutions Mechanical, Inc., primarily to address the frustrations he frequently heard from customers. His goal was to build a plumbing and HVAC company that stood apart from the rest. He launched with an office in his basement and worked independently with a toolbox from his wife’s car. Thanks to his commitment, SMI has grown into a prosperous company with multiple locations serving the Valley and Northern Virginia. David resides in Waynesboro with his wife and two children, is dedicated to the community, and actively participates in his church and the local Boy Scouts.
