Erik was really unprofessional about his services. He was supposed to replace an exhaust fan so he took the old unit and assured us that he will get the new part tomorrow. Not only he didnt return or call the next day, i myself had to call after a week of waiting and make an appointment for him to come in. So i was waiting a week without an bathroom exhaust.

The exhaust fan area had dust all around it and perhaps was the main reason the old exhaust was faulty in the first place, he refused to clean around the exhaust area before installing the new one ( which would have taken him maybe 30 seconds) saying ""Im just an electrician, we dont clean"". I felt he was too busy with all his other appointments and didnt really care as he already got paid by the insurance company we have.

About a week ago, I had an issue where overheating in an electrical plug outlet caused partial melting of the plug to my sump pump. Being on the cautious side, I contacted my home warranty service provider and they assigned me Soko Services. One positive was that he was able to quickly assist me with my issue. He evaluated the issue and determined loose wiring was the culprit. He replaced the plug outlet. I asked him about the partially melted plug, which he quickly responded that this was a plumbing issue, since it was attached to the sump pump. He also advised that the sump pump needed to be replaced. I'm not a plumbing or an electrical expert, so I took his word for it. But, in the back of my mind, why couldn't the plug be replaced? Fast forward a week, plumber comes in, and told me that the sump pump doesn't need to be replaced and that the electrician should have replaced the plug or advised to have the plug replaced, not the entire sump pump. The plumber stated that it's a fairly simple fix, where there are only 3 wires that just need to be attached to a replacement plug. So did the electrician complete his work? Sure - but the reason why I am giving one star is the customer service. It appeared that he seemed to be in a rush and the fact that he is an apparent pro electrician, why didn't he make any suggestion of just replacing the plug? He immediately deferred it to a plumbing problem. Being that this is a service and a fair amount of customer service is involved, I felt he could have been more professional about this and provided the professional guidance. The other reason why I am giving a poor rating - it is mentioned on the company Facebook page that the electrician is also a master plumber as of August 2014. Electrical and plumbing experience, but he couldn't provide me the guidance on the work that was needed? He may not have wanted to work on it because of how warranty claims are approached by the technicians, but at least provide some advice as an expert.
