Great service, great products. Love my soft water reverse osmosis system! Water tastes great! Just overall, can't recommend them highly enough!
The water softener portion of the business is very good. And I would highly recommend.
However, they also offer plumbing service and this portion of the business was a very big disappointment. I was very satisfied with their service and quality of the water softener products so I expected similar service from the plumbing services. That unfortunately was not the case. I was in need of some plumbing repairs and was on a somewhat fixed timeline. It took a week for someone to arrive to look at my project. They informed me that the info collected would have to be transferred to someone else who would actually provide an estimate for the job and that would take about another week. After two weeks without an estimate I called and they told me they were still working on it and it would be a few more days. After another week I called and they told me they were still working on the estimate. After 4 weeks I stopped calling and never actually got a return call or an estimate.
These guys seemed nice and helpful, at first. We rented and then bought both a water softener and a Microline reverse osmosis system from them. We got the reverse osmosis system solely because we had elevated levels of nitrate. The level wasn't greatly elevated, just bit above 10. As far as the EPA is concerned levels under 10 aren't bad, except for infants and pregnant women. At the time I got the microline system installed, we had an infant in the house and my wife was pregnant. The salesperson claimed the microline system would remove nitrate from the water. That is also what the microline specifications indicate. Microline claims the system will reduce nitrates by 87%, assuming incoming nitrate level is around 27. So, I think this is great. We used the Microline system for a few years thinking everything was working great. I get my well water tested by a lab every year. The nitrate level is always around 10. This past year, I thought, heck, I'll see how well the microline system is doing. Turns out, it cut the nitrate by about 20% and barely under the federal guideline of 10. So, I get new filters. No difference. So, I get a new reverse osmosis membrane. No difference. I email this guy Sean at the company. He doesn't reply until after multiple attempts. He claimed he emailed me after the first time but it must have gone to spam. Interesting since I got all his other emails. At first, he says not to worry about it because we ingest nitrates all the time and it's not bad unless you have infants. And, it's really hard to get rid of nitrates in water. I tell him I want a refund since the company sold me the system on the basis of a claim that was false. He said no. Get new filters. I told him I've gotten new OEM filters and told him the replacement schedule. No response from Sean. I ended up getting an APEC system from Amazon and replacing the microline system. APEC sells a filter that specifically removes nitrates. Guess what happened? Nitrates lowered to Oconomowoc city water level! In short, get your water tested and find a system that actually works for your needs. Don't trust that the microline system will actually do what it says it will.
Laura L.Everything was great except the inability to tell the exterior temperature. Their sign incorrectly stated - dare I say LIED - that it was only 13* F. In reality, as confirmed by Getman engineering, it was actually 16* F. This goes hand-in-hand with the medias inability to fact check. Clearly fake news. We are simply left guessing the company's ulterior motive. Furthermore, Bigfoot was in the parking lot.
Bret our water adviser did a great job in explaining our type of water and what we needed to do to get it just right! He wasn't pushy just very knowledgeable. I highly recommend giving him a call for all your water needs. Looking forward to our new Iron Curtain and soft water softener in our new condo! Thanks Bret for your professionalism!
Curtis J.I had a couple different companies come by and test our water and quote me a water softener system, and Soft Water was the most knowledgable and helpful. These guys know their stuff. They have a nice rent-to-own setup to get you set up with a system for around 20 bucks a month, with the option to purchase later.
The installer went the extra mile and gave me some valuable pointers on how to clear debris out of the lines and get some extra water pressure at the faucets.
While they were professional and knowledgeable, they were excessively expensive. I called for a repair, and not only was the service fee $70.00 to come look at it (on top of the labor cost), but the service tech told me that everything was working fine, and the unit should last, but that I should think about leasing a unit from them anyways. When I asked why, he had no explanation. They are just out to get a quick buck, I suggest staying away.
