I hate leaving a negative review, but when a contractor's work causes $6,000 worth of damage I really have no other option. I wanted to see if the water softener that came with my house was fixable, or if I needed to buy a new one. I contacted Michelle, as Soft Water Specialists were the ones to originally install this unit (as listed on the side of the system). She said it just needed some maintenence, that we didn't need a new one. We paid about $450 for labor, and had it set up a few months before it leaked into our house, pooled in a closet, and ruined our baseboards & drywall. We were fortunate to handle it quickly enough that there was no mold. Our insurance had to pay out $6,000 to a restoration company to fix everything, and we had to pay our $500 deductible to our insurance. I called Michelle and asked if she could reimburse us just the $450 for labor, as now I am out $950 and don't have a functional water softener. She has not gotten back to me, has not reimbursed me, and I should have just gotten a new water softener in the first place. I was excited to be supporting a small, woman-owned local business, but I am left having to warn others to not to go here for fear of home damage.

Called Mary on Wed 8 Mar 2017..I explained to her my soft water unit problem and she made
an appt for me for Fri 10Mar2017 for between 2p-4p at 405p no one had arrived so I called
Mary and asked where the repair people were...she said oh I went to the wrong address and I
said a phone call would have been nice then she proceeded to say she also had car problems
and again I said a phone call would have been nice...she didn't sound sorry or apologetic.
NOT RELIABLE!!!!!!!!!!! I would give it 0 star but had to put one in

On Saturday Nov 28th 2015 I had my water softener break and called a plumbing company they said I needed a new water softener and new water heater flush out the entire plumbing and pipes the quoted me total repairs $4365 to fix and repair everything that was 8am I decided to call Mary and Michele they usually service my water softener and reverse osmosis so they came out at 130pm and after they took a look at everything I did not need all the repairs that the plumbing company said I needed. They went with me to. Home Depot baught a new water softener flushed all the faucets and the water heater there total service fee was $175. Plus $450 for a new softener total spent was $625 much better than $4365 from the crooks of a plumbing company. I would refer Mary and Michelle to everyone they are fair honest and just wonderful they are true great people and trust worthy GREAT Job Mary and Michelle thank you so much.

We had a leaking water softener and were referred to Soft Water Specialists by a plumbing company. We phoned and once Mary understood our problem scheduled someone for that same afternoon. Michelle (Mary's daughter, great family run business) was out within a few hours and diagnosed the problem quickly. She worked on it and made sure everything was working properly before leaving. There was a number of issues with the softener - more than the leak - and Michelle took care of all of them. The total bill was incredibly fair. Wonderful company, great to work with and would absolutely call them again if needed.
