Avoid this company at all costs. We bought a new air conditioner from Soderlin 3 years ago. Rather than installing it, Soderlin contracted with another company to do the work. We never saw or heard from Soderlin again. It was a bait-and-switch. The air conditioner broke last summer, and Soderlin would not even come out and fix it. Other companies said they would have stood behind their work; Soderlin would not (even though it did not do the work in the first place). Soderlin previously broke two toilets in our home. I recommend Residential Heat and Air. We have had great success with that company.

Literally the worst customer service. Will NEVER use them again. We have been loyal customers for over 5 years. They replaced our entire air conditioner a few years ago and our heating system this year as well as numerous other smaller jobs. We have paid them at least 20,000 over the last few years. We always knew they charged more than others but had been satisfied with the work until recently and kept using them. Then a few weeks ago we asked them to come fix 2 toilets. One of the toilets ended up with a new problem after they left and ended up flooding our entire bathroom a few days later. They came back to fix it free of charge so we moved on from that frustration. But a few days later the other toilet they had fixed started up with the original problem again. They had told us the toilet was old and would likely need to be replaced in a year or 2 but should hold us a while longer. But less than a week later the original problem came back. We asked them to come back and take a look, especially since the technician had made a mistake on the other toilet, so we wanted to see if he had made a mistake on this toilet too. They set an appointment and then 30 minutes before the appointment Jason the owner called and was incredibly hostile and said they refuse to come look at the toilet and will only be willing to replace it, and won't even attempt to look at or fix it. It made no sense since they couldn't have determined if the technician made a mistake in fixing it without looking at it!! Absolutely absurd. He treated us like difficult customers even though we have paid them a ton of money and been loyal after all these years and they admittedly messed up the other toilet a week beforehand which caused our other bathroom to flood! Funny enough we had another company come out to look at the toilet today and they told us that soderlin failed to fix it properly and it does NOT need to be replaced. The other company also charges half of what soderlin charges! Wish we had switched companies sooner!!

We used Soderlin to hook up a gas stove in a rental unit we own. Everything was in place, all they had to do was connect it. They were there only about 15 minutes and charged us $340.
Also charged $ 100. to pull a permit from the city. When we called to complain about the price , the receptionist said that was cheaper than they usually charge.

I had a issue with a slight gas leak over the weekend on one of my rental properties. Called these guys to come fix it. They charged me almost $250 for a trip charge which i was ok with since it was a weekend but was shocked to find out that it was just for them to stop over at the place and not to do anything. They bid the job 3 times more than what it would have costed. When asked why........all the guy had to say was ""Its the Weekend"". Wish they would told me from the beginning that the$250 was for nothing but to show up to the house. The guy was extremely rude and unprofessional. Felt robbed by these guys in the middle of the day. Would never recommend or work with these guys. Paid almost $1,300 for something that would have costed 1/3 and got shitty service and attitude in return.

Save your time and money..........................these guys are not worth it.

The day we sold our house, the water heater went out. Norblomb couldn't make it out for several days and since there was an open house that weekend. Since we'd be gone, we needed someone over there asap as the heater was leaking. Soderlin was there within two hours, earlier than they quoted us, and had a top of the line water heater on the truck. In an hour and a half, our old heater was gone and our new one was up and running beautifully. Rich was very sweet and fun with our girls, as he too has daughters and a granddaughter on the way (though he looked way too young to be a gramps!)

Perhaps it wasn't the cheapest. I'm not sure. I didn't have the time or energy to shop around. Soderlin rose to the occasion and it was very pleasant. Rich was friendly, professional and efficient.

called for a replacement fan motor for furnace. On site for approx. one hour $833.00.
No itemized bill. A gouge pure and simple. Look elsewhere...

Plumber and office staff were professional and on time, but their quote was FAR higher than others'. (nearly twice) Decided to use someone else. Wanted to support my neighborhood business, but not if it costs me $3-400 more.

CON MEN!
I called Soderlin when by boiler was not heating. I paid $89 in advance to arrange for the tech. to visit. The technician quoted me $600 minimum fee and admitted the repair could take as little as 30 min. I would be liable if any labor or material would exceed $600.
After flailing away in my boiler room for 20 minutes the guy tells me the entire boiler needs to be replaced and he quoted $10,000 for the work. I told him to get out of the house...called someone else who fixed the problem in 1 hour for $240. simple fan motor.

These guys are incompetent and dishonest.

They did the work but, as others warned, beware of the price! For one hour, we paid $430. They replaced two hoses and readily shared that the parts cost $30. You can find a smaller shop with better prices that can easily do the same or better work. Check around. We wish we had.

Beware of the company and deceptive technicians and owner Jason. Recently had a new A/C unit installed in my house since last A/C unit quit working. New A/C is causing my duct work to drip water and 4th level doesnt cool effectively. Soderlin says everything is working fine and will not try to solve the problem. The technician Jeff came back several times and took readings - instead of informing me of his findings he was secretive and did not explain his findings. All Jeff said was that Soderlin would take care of everything to make things right. Showed Jeff the technician the dripping water from duct work, but he wouldn't comment. For his 14 years in the business you would think he would know what this is caused from. Instead called another company to fix the dripping water from duct work and air flow. My old A/C unit never caused water to form on the duct work and ruin my ceiling tile. Beware of there unprofessionalism and sneaky business tactics. They have been reported to Angie list and better Business Bureau. Soderlin is definitely out for your money, but has no idea what customer service is all about. If everything goes smooth I'm sure Soderlin would be ok, but if there's any problems, good luck trying to get them to help solve the problem. If there's problem make sure you have another company you can call to fix the problem since they definitely are not problem solvers.
