I have a history with H&C companies here in Lakeland. The history has been ridiculously horrible except for Snowbird. I have been cheated, lied to time after time, experienced shoddy workmanship, etc. It got to a point where all I asked for and begged for is someone, anyone who actually told the truth. Through a stroke of luck I finally found Snowbird. Daniel specifically. I highly recommend Daniel and Snowbird - and believe me I mean that.

Service Appointment Review - 6/19/2024 Jeremy arrived at our home on June 19th. I told him the air filter was dirty and the drain line was plugged, but that I had cleaned those before he came. He found the evaporator coil was frozen. He then told me that a plugged drain line would not cause it to freeze over, the only reason it would freeze over was due to a leak in the coil. He then turned on the heat to thaw the system so pressure readings could be taken. He said that the system was low on 410a refrigerant approximately 2.5 lbs. To get the system running and cooling correctly today, * refrigerant will need to be added. Adding refrigerant would only be a temporary fix, it may only last a few days or could last several years. * A leak search could be conducted but no guarantees the leak will be pin pointed or be fixable. Jeremy then... * Recommended replacing the unit, cost would be around $7800 dollars. He estimated the repair cost to be around $3500. If a new unit is decided on, the cost of the repair would be credited towards the new unit. Plus... * It was going to cost $536, to add the refrigerant and have the leak test conducted. * We couldn't afford the $536, so Paid $135 for the service call, we were going schedule a different day. * We had another appointment set up with a different AC company that week, so we kept that appointment to get a second opinion. On June 21st, Dee from AI solutions came to check the unit. He could not believe that I was told that it didn't matter on these packaged units if the drain line was plugged. He recheck the drain line, cleaned the coil. Went in the house found the discharge air from the unit was 49 - 50 degrees. It has been working perfectly ever since!!! On June 28th I called Snowbird Heating and Cooling to cancel the service contract and told them we did not want them to come out and add the refrigerant. They asked why, so I told them we had a second opinion and we found out that what Jeremy had told us was not correct and his recommendations for our unit were not valid! I then with spoke with a gentleman from their management team. He said that he would send an email to the person responsible for reimbursements. We paid $135 for the service fee and should get $135 in reimbursement. Jeremy did nothing to fix our unit, he recommended false information. We should get a full refund! But.... We still haven't received it. I called again on July 8th, asking why we would not get back the $135. On July 16th, found a pending charge for the $8 service program. Called them again, and they did reverse the $8 program fee, But, we are still waiting for a refund of the $135 service fee. Spoke with Justin 3 different times over the past 2 weeks, being told that he would send an email and then call the one responsible for the refund. We are still waiting. If you are going to have any major work done, take the time to get a second opinion. We did and it saved us nearly $8,000.

Matt from Snowbird Heating & Cooling is our hero! We were visiting our parents in FL and their air conditioner died. We were looking to sleep in 80 degrees and he did everything he could to get the air conditioning working. Said he would come back first thing tomorrow morning, but then showed back up at 7:30pm to replace the motor! He was super friendly and seemed to genuinely care about our comfort. We tried to tip him and he wouldn't accept. I would highly recommend!!!

Carlos was amazing I wish we can give him a 7 or 8! He diagnosed our problem and found that the issue is under warrantee. Because Snowbird is not an authorized dealer for the brand of heat pump that we have, and cannot get the part to fix it, he referred us to someone who can help us.

AC unit stopped cooling unexpectedly. We called Snowbird Heating & Cooling and got an appointment right on the phone, after regular hours. Technician Skyler Owens arrived , very friendly, listened to what was the problem, went outside to check the unit, gave us 3 options of how we wanted this resolved, and got it done. He is very knowledgeable about the situation, very friendly, and the problem taking care of very quickly and the price was right. We highly recommend Snowbird and if you're lucky enough to get Skyler, even better.

Our lakehouse home suffered damage due to Hurricane Ian and we needed an all new system including new duct work. Snowbird was able to design the system in a unique and challenging situation and did the work in a timely and professional manner and exceeded our high expectations. I would highly recommend them. Bruce led up the project and communicated well. Fred led the install and it was done well and on time. I work in the construction industry and was impressed by their work.

Went to our family vacation house in Florida. Heat was not working. Now, it's Florida, so not life threatening but annoying. Had to get it fixed. Called Snowbird and they sent out Dan, been with them 18 years. That very day! Gentleman. Well spoken and direct. Took the unit part, diagnosed it as a burnt out motor, likely due to a power surge. Replaced damaged parts and was on his way. Also installed a surge protector that might prevent it happening again. So get this: A/C and heating, repaired the same day. Can't ask for more.

If I could give them a zero I would!! Snowbird installed a new air conditioner and air handler on 7/8/2020. Today it's not working and I can't even get a call back. Answering service says hours of operation end at 5 PM. When we were sold the unit we were told issues would be addressed immediately. We have cardiac and lung issues and stressed the importance of service. Was told not to worry. They have our money and we have no air. It's over 90 degrees and getting hotter. Terrible and uncaring company who will say anything to get your business. Do not be as gullible as we were.

Just moved to FL a month ago & found my old heat/ac unit needed replacing.A friend told me to try Snowbird. Called them & they came out to replace everything. They were very professional & walked me through every step. Daniel & Snowbird are wonderfullysuper fantasticallyterrific.Well worth the 5 stars on everything they did. Will definately recommend them for all your heating/cooling needs. Colleen Black Lakeland, FL.

At my daughter's house, tech was scheduled for 10am-noon. She called at 11:45am to advise she was running 45 mins late. Checked my system. Said I was low on coolant and I have a slow leak. Said the coolant isn't made any more, so I have to get a new $10K system. I called another HVAC company which had no problem adding coolant. At my house a week later, the same tech was scheduled for noon-4pm. At 2:20pm she called to advise she'd be there in 10 mins. At 2:30pm she logged in through the security guard. At 3pm and again at 3:45pm I called Snowbird to ask where the tech was. They said she had been at my house for the past hour, which wasn't true. At 4:15pm they called and said she had a family emergency and they'd be sending another tech when he finished his current job. Told them not to bother. I've used Snowbird in the past and was very satisfied with them. Not any more.
