Company Overview

At Snappy Services - Electric, Plumbing, Heating & Air, we are a local Marietta, GA business committed to making a difference. Our skilled technicians and installers are part of your neighborhood, ensuring we deliver quick and reliable service. With an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, we aim to establish a local presence characterized by excellent customer service, qualified technicians, and superior products. We provide a wide range of services for your home, such as plumbing, electrical repairs, air duct sealing, home energy audits, and additional offerings. We have continuously enhanced our core services to align with the wants and needs of our customers.

We opened our doors in 2005. We were previously owned by a distant company that guided our pricing and operational structure for years. Although they kept us updated with technology, the long-distance relationship created a disconnect with our local community and customers.

I, Adam Bunyard, the general manager and one of the founding employees from 2005, have recently taken ownership of the company alongside my wife. Although we had a solid team and structure in place, we saw the importance of establishing a stronger local presence and adaptable pricing. We will ensure that all existing warranties are honored, and our customers will notice improved service during this transition.

Since we became part of Yelp in July 2017, we are eager to have the chance to earn your business!

I received 3 phone calls from Lisa Grace of Snappy Electric, Plumbing, Heating & Air requesting my credit card information to renew my membership with them with the last call being the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, November 22, 2023. Lisa obtained my information and stated someone would call me in 15 minutes to schedule an appointment. Now, one week later, NO ONE from Snappy has called me and I've left Lisa Grace a voice message and text message for which she's returned NEITHER. When I did call Snappy to schedule an appointment November 25, 2023, I was given an appointment for Monday, November 27, 2023 for a window of 8am - 12pm and you guessed it, NO ONE showed up. When I called, I was told they were busy and catching up on messages. What a poor statement because I was also busy on my job but Lisa Grace continued to call until I was able to speak. Who's NOT busy while at work?? Now that I've requested a refund for a membership they don't honor, which is supposed to make you a priority, then can't seem to return any messages and everyone has disappeared. What a disgrace, demonstration of poor customer service and dishonesty by Lisa Grace and Snappy!

Extremely poor response time. We had garbage disposal issues and were charged for the inspection. Snappy installed the disposal which means free inspection and a lifetime warranty. The tech charged us anyway. I have been calling for the last 3 weeks for a refund and have yet to receive it. Sometimes I call and I am told no one is available and I will get a call back, I never do. Other times I call and I am promised an email confirmation of the refund, it also never comes. This is not the first time I have had issues with them, but it will be the last. I'm definitely taking my business elsewhere.

I needed some ductwork for a room. Got a pretty high quote for work which was to much for the request. Called them again to clarify questions and never heard back from the technician. Trying to sell additional service on a subscription base. Sorry to much and too expensive. Providing a quote costed $89 which would not be counted towards the actual job. Well my bad.. I've got another quote for free from a competitor who did the job for the half of the price and did exactly what was necessary to fulfill the requirement.

We moved into our home in late 2017. Almost immediately we noticed that the master bedroom was too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer. After renovations and recommendations from several parties we had given up and accepted that it as just bad luck. Now with an infant, we decided to give it another try. We trusted Snappy with our electric woes and decided to see what they suggested for the HVAC system. After a brief consultation two days ago and a few hours of work today, our problem is solved!! We will be Snappy maintenance members for HVAC, plumbing and electric from now on! DISCLAIMER: We had gotten higher quotes from this company in the past that we did not go with. They are now under new ownership which may attribute to the difference. Even the maintenance plan is lower than before.

This is the kind of HVAC crook that Clark Howard used to expose. They sent some guy out to look at our HVAC. He assessed it as needing between $700 and $2,000 of work, including a """"minor condenser rebuild"""" for $599 and $279 for the first pound of refrigerant after he charged us $225 to drain the lines. (Look up the cost of r22 refrigerant and it's $20 to $50 per pound.) Draining the lines was unnecessary as the next guy we called out from a different company when that repair did nothing assessed it as needing a few pounds of refrigerant for $140 which worked fine to fix our cooling issues. I asked the next guy about this """"minor condenser rebuild"""" and he said our condenser is working fine, which it is as illustrated by the fact the AC works after adding refrigerant. I asked for at least a partial refund and got no response, meaning they are not alarmed one bit by their techs committing fraud. Look at this estimate - it's genius if you are purposely running a fraud. Makes you think they are saving you money by ripping you off!

I knew what our problem was, it was extremely obvious - our spigot outside the house was leaking. The """"plumber"""" never touched it, barely looking at it. But immediately told me their service included checking all the fixtures in the house. I don't care about anything in the house, I KNOW what my problem is. This guy was so much a salesperson I question if he was actually a plumber. He tried to sell me in their HVAC, electrical and plumbing annual contracts. He told me all the things that were wrong, except our initial issue. Then said in the preparation of time, he'd give me a quote for the issue I had, not the 10 """"other"""" things. $300 more than previous quotes, I paid my ridiculous $59 fee and told him to be on his way. A $59 fee for him to do NOTHING on our problem, not even touch it. Will never call again.

So here is a story about shady scare based sales practice, their technician came to tune the furnace and did absolutely nothing, disrespected my wife and made a comment that he is condemning the furnace and gave a list of issues half of them which were not even applicable. He even argued about the price which was in a flyer. So today I had another technician from another company for a second opinion and found out the Snappy technician was full of shit. My recommendation is never to use this company as they are not trustworthy. All they want to do is try to sell you new system by scare tactic. You should be ashamed of yourself Snappy...

I had to have them come out twice to fix the same issue which is a pain but I understand will sometimes happen. The low rating is due to the way in which the second """"repair"""" was treated. The woman on the phone never acknowledged nor apologized for the fact the issue wasn't resolved the first time. The technician was condescending in explaining what he felt was wrong the second time and I'm not feeling reassured that the problem is indeed fixed. And when I asked if, in fact, I needed the needed the new switches that had been installed at the first visit (since that clearly didn't fix things) he said this trip was """"no big deal.""""

DO NOT USE THEM.. Tech came out on Thursday, said I need a New Evaporator Coil $1,500, then said it was a difficult job would need additional help $289, also I would need Additional Freon at $645 plus $249 for some type of Mandatory Procedure fee Continued to try and sale me a Maintenance Plan for $25 a month. TOTAL COST WAS GOING TO BE $2,708 I have a Lennox Model 14ACXS036-230A20 that is only 16 months old. I thought this was kind of crazy so I got another company (Shumate) to come out. This tech who has been doing this for 18 years said my outside electric breaker was off, the cap to my coolant had been remove. He checked all the components to include Coil and said all I need was Refrigerant and to turn the breaker back on. He did add 2 pounds of Refrigerant along with service call total $300. I now have nice cold air. Snappy is a big RIP-OFF,,, do not use them..
