Same story as everyone else. Old Republic Home Protection sent Darrell out to work on my water heater. He diagnosed the problem and said he would get back to me that day. I called and texted him multiple times with no answer or response. After he ghosted me for a week, I called Old Republic, and they said he told them he couldn't fix my water heater. Waste of my time.
Worst Service I have ever had from a service provider in Spokane. Darrell was sent by American Home Shield for several plumbing issues. He came by - spent a few minutes ""diagnosing"" my problems and said he'd get back to me. Despite numerous calls, texts, Facebook messages he would never get back to me. AHS even called him and he promised to get back to me that very day. It's now two weeks later and still nothing. I finally convinced AHS to refund my service fee. I don't know how he stays in business.
I'm a full time Realtor and use AHS for all of my claims. I needed a hot water heater replaced completely, and was worried it was going to take days on end. Darrell showed up exactly on time, was prompt and efficient in analyzing the problem, and had AHS make a full replacement for me.
Within 24 hours of filing the claim, Darrell had completely replaced the hot water heater without any issues. It was a service dream come true and I'm very thankful for his help. Darrell is a busy man, and he deserves to be so! Thank you so much man!
How dare American Home Shield continue to use this company!! Not only did he NOT FIX my faucet, but Darrell LIED to American Home Shield about what my problem is because he did not want out come out again. So, AHS DENIED my claim! What a dirtbag.
Michael S.I know that there are negative reviews on here, but the problem i've always had with yelp is that you see far more negative than positive experiences. when i'm upset with a contractor i think about yelp, lol.
With that in mind, I was very pleased with the service that I received from Snappy Plumbing. I have a home contract with AHS and had a quick response from Darrel about coming by to take a look at my water tank.
I called AHS on Tuesday and had it looked at and replaced by 11 am on Friday.
Darrel was polite and professional. I hope that others will give this company a chance.
Same as everyone else. AHS gave me this guy to fix a toilet.
When he called to set an appointment for a Friday from 230-330, he mentioned to me how busy he was and that he was going on vacation for starting Saturday, I should have known he was setting us excuses in advance.
Friday rolls around, 330 pm and no one showed, called him and he said he was ""on his way"", come 530pm, no one showed and he stopped answering his phone.
Immediately called AHS and told them he was a no-show, send me to someone else, now I have to wait another week to get things fixed. Totally unprofessional. Don't accept a job you have no intention to do.

My hot water heater went out. I called American Home Shield (our home warranty company), and they sent Darrel with Snappy Plumbing, who I believe owns the company and is the only employee. He came out and went downstairs to where the water heater was. I don't think he knew that I could hear him chatting on the phone about everything but my hot water heater. When he came back upstairs after his phone conversation was over, he said he had ""fixed"" the problem. I asked what he had to do, and he told me he hesitantly told me that he just hit the reset button. I asked what made it trip in the first place, and he said he had no idea, but that he would come back if there were problems. That night, when I attempted to shower, I was once again left with shampoo in my hair and no hot water. This time it was easy for me to just push the reset button, which I did, but it just kept tripping off again. I called Darrel and told him that it still wasn't working. He said he would drop by the next day. He didn't show up at the time he said he would, but when I texted him, he finally showed up. When he got here he went back downstairs and came back up and told me that he didn't know what was wrong with it. I told him that I needed it fixed, so he finally called the water heater manufacturer and asked them what he should do. They told him to change out the elements, which he did and quickly left. When I checked for hot water in my kitchen, the faucet would dispense no water at all! I called him right away, and he said he would come out the following day. He never showed, which seems to be a recurring issue with him, based on the other reviews. This morning I attempted to take a shower and once again, had no hot water! Are you kidding me? Now I have no hot water and no water in my kitchen sink! I called Darrel to tell him the situation but he wouldn't answer his phone. I texted him to let him know what was going on and asked when we could expect to see him. His only reply was ""Not sure."" That was it ... no apology for not showing up the previous day, no apologies or explanations as to what the problem may be, just ""Not sure."" I told American Home Shield and they said they would send someone else out, but I don't know when it will happen. I'm just glad that Darrel is not coming back!!! I would say that he was just having a bad week, but reading the other reviews, I can see that this is his regular way of doing business. How disappointing.
Jennifer C.Snappy plumbing was sent out to our home by our home warranty company ( American home shield). The first appt he was on time with no issues. When he was supposed to show up to our next appointment with the parts to fix the issues we're having is when we found out this guy is not reliable at all!!! We have had 2 no call no show scheduled appointments one of which I took a day off of work to be home for. He didnt even call to let us know he wasn't coming and never answered or returned any phone calls. At this point it's costing us more out of pocket between missing work and our service call fee than it would to fix the actual issue and unfortunately we still dont have our plumbing issues resolved. I would not recommend this company at all.
Britney S.DO NOT USE THEM. Had an appointment scheduled for Monday at 11:30. He called at 12:15 and said he was on his way AND NEVER SHOWED UP. Called him again later in the day and left a message. We never heard back. Absolutely TERRIBLE-customer service.
Candie D.Darrel serviced our water heater and fixed the water line on our refrigerator to ensure it was up to code. He was very polite, professional and patiently answered all of my questions. We just moved into our house and he was kind enough to look at some items for me and give me his feedback. Would definitely use again and recommend to others.
