I really am upset to give this review. I have used Snake n' Rooter on multiple occasions with great service. Two days before Thanksgiving we called for service as we live in an area with many roots. Low and behold we had a pipe that had collapsed under our basement floor. They don't tell you what pricing will be ... just ""minimum is three grand. Could be more"". Charged us for a service call on first night but told us the check would be ripped up once we completed service ( the three plus grand ) the next day. Never happened. Cashed both checks. Super shady and don't try and call in as the grinch who answers the phone won't let you talk to supervisor. Get your estimates detailed and not just as an amount.

By far the worst experience ever with any company ever. I had a simple problem the cold water handle in my shower was stripped out where I had to use vice grips to turn it on. They sent a tech on Wednesday to fix it cut a hole in the wall and said you need new valves. He put a new handle on and said it will work until I come back on Friday morning at 930 with the new valve and whatnot. Friday morning comes and they are a no show and call and reschedule for Friday 430. Again they are a no show this time the manager (Edward) calls and promises me the world (new toilet new faucets whatever I wanted to make it right) says he will personally come by Sunday morning to do the job himself. Sunday morning I call because again nobody shows up. The dispatcher informs me the tech is getting parts and that they are on their way. When 1230 rolls around I call back and ask what is going on again she (Linda) says the tech is getting parts. When I continually ask to speak to a supervisor she hangs up on me. So I call back and again she hangs up on me and this goes on 27 times. All she did was pick up and hang up not even knowing if it's was actually me calling. So I had my girlfriend call and she did the same to her another 25 times. The job finally got done Monday evening at 630. The tech that came (Daniel) was professional but the rest of the company is a complete joke.

I rent from CJ reality and they sub out to blue River maintenance and win blue River maintenance can't handle a problem with the plumbing they call these guys. Very unreliable they are never there when they say they will be there and always seem to half ass fix the problem

Finally found a good plumber, and one that we can trust. I called for service, and had a technician at my doorstep several hours later. I appreciated the office calling before they dispatched the technician to ensure his arrival time was compatible with my schedule. Upon arrival he was very professional, properly explained what the problem was, what the costs would be with fixing it, and he was in and out in less than an hour. It didn't stop there, the office called me after he left to ensure I was satisfied with the service. They definitely exceeded my expectations by leaps and bounds. They're the best I have ever called or used in KC!

Used Snake n Rooter to clean the main line in my home. Technician Alex was very polite, he got right to work and he new exactly what to do based on the information I gave him . He kept his work area protected from any splatter of waste water and cleaned the work area when he was done. I am a retired disabled plumber of 37 years. His work ethic is exceptional. I will use them again if needed and highly recommend Snake n Rooter. Hopefully you will get Alex to do the job for you.

I called with an emergency service request at 3am for a toilet I could not unclog. It's the only toilet in the apartment and we were desperate to get it working.

The technician was initially friendly, but then asked if it couldn't wait until the morning. When I said no, he openly questioned how it was that we only realized we had a problem at 3am. I won't even dignify that with an explanation. I told him that if he didn't want to do the job he should say so, such that I could find someone else. He said ok and hung up the phone.

I have no idea whether he is an owner or an employee, and judging from the other reviews I'd like to think this is an exception rather than the rule for this business. As long as this person is on their payroll, though, I wouldn't ever call them again.

Called for a rental unit specifically told Debbie the dispatcher to have them call me she gave me a estimated time of 2 hrs. Their 2hrs actually ended up being 11hrs later I was not called so I could meet the tech, I was not called and advised of what the problem was nor an estimated cost they just did the work, they didn't even call me when they finished to tell me how much they charged my card. Still waiting on a supervisor to call me back. I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB AND WILL ACTUALLY SEE IF THIS PRACTICE OF JUST CHARGING YOU CARD IS LEGAL

I have 27 rentals and have used Snake n Rooter for some time however a year ago we had them out the tech told me we had roots and it would be just a little bit more SORRY $500++ IS NOT A LITTLE BIT MORE AND THE TECH NEVER KEPT ME INFORMED AS TO WHAT WAS GOING ON -- of course it was after hours when he finished so I called the next day to speak with a supervisor to no advail. I had to cancel the card I used to prepay and it took over 3months for a supervisor to finally return my calls!! So today I figured I'd give them a second chance so I called for a different unit and I specifically told Debbie to make sure the tech called me --WELL AGAIN NO CALL the tech showed up at the tentants house not 2 hours later but 12 hours later he NEVER CALLED TO TELL ME WHAT WAS WRONG OR HOW MUCH NOT EVEN WHEN HE FINISHED THE JOB DID HE CALL TO TELL ME HOW MUCH -- I HAD TO CALL THEM to find out the charge and will have to call again tommorw to find out what was wrong -- ONCE TWICE NEVER A THIRD TIME

HOME OWNER BEWARE HOME OWNER BEWARE! will never, ever use this company again. Not only am I extremely upset with my service, but also because I was over charged since the technician LIED about how long he was here.
I have not contacted the company, but I will be doing so tomorrow and will update. I DO, HOWEVER, NOT HAVE HIGH HOPES that my issue will be solved.
They didn't even show me the bill before they left so I could dispute the extra costs. This company is full of scam artists! HOMEOWNER/BEWARE HOMEOWNER BEWARE

Over a month ago we had Snake'n'Rooter come out and fix the clogged toilet in my 83 year old mother's bathroom. Their rep said we needed to ""increase the water flush capacity"" in her toilet, which he could do same day. I asked the specific question, ""Are you sure it has nothing to do with the DESIGN of this toilet?"" and he said, ""NO! Once we increase the flush capacity, you will be fine. You won't have this problem any more!"" $365 bill to my 83 year old mother. 4 days later, the toilet clogged again, we called Snake'N'Rooter again, they sent another rep out who said, ""you need to buy a high capacity toilet, the design of this toilet won't handle your mother's needs."" The high capacity toilet is about $350.00! I called Snake'n'Rooter to complain, they said they would get back to me...it has been over a month and no one has ever called us back and no refund check has ever been sent. Had I not specifically asked the question about the design of the toilet, I would not be so incensed! But since I DID specifically ask that question, and was told it was NOT THE DESIGN of the toilet by the first rep, we went ahead and paid to have the flush capacity increased. I will never use this company again and will NEVER recommend them to a friend, mostly because of the poor follow-up and response from management. They should have immediately called me or my Mom back and settled this. Extremely POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE as far as I am concerned. Taking advantage of an 83 year old woman is crooked business. AND these people are not part of the Better Business Bureau - why? Because they have an ""F"" RATING!!!!!!!!!! What's that tell ya??? Yeah, use this company AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!
