Scott came out to my home because my shower was draining very slowly. He detected and fixed the problem quickly and efficiently. I'll use him again if needed.

Once again we had a plumbing problem. I phoned Scott and made an appointment for him to look at my garbage disposal because it wasn't working and also had a bit of a leak. He diagnosed the problem and ended up replacing my disposal. He was courteous and tidy. His price was fair and I would definitely recommend him.

I called Scott to repair a small leak under my sink. He said he could run out to the house and take a look at it the same day, and I made the mistake of not asking what his call-out fee is (and he did not volunteer the information).

Scott charges $150 for a call-out. That seems reasonable for a high-powered attorney or a doctor, but for a plumber it's way above what others charge. In fact, I had spoken to another plumber with really good Yelp ratings who told me his call-out fee was $55, so Scott is almost 3x as expensive as at least one other highly rated plumber on Yelp.

For full disclosure, I should mention that the problem was a loose faucet fitting, and it only took him a few minutes to tighten it. For that reason, he only charged me $75 (half of his usual call-out rate), which was nice of him. Still, I wish he had told me his call-out rate ahead of time, and I would have had the other plumber come out to do the job. Even paying the full rate for the other guy would have saved me 25%.

Scott has been servicing the plumbing needs at my home and office for years. He is extremely reliable, professional, with superb customer service. His prices are fair and I always know I am getting the best price and service around. I would not trust my plumbing to anyone else.

Have used Scott Smolensky numerous times. He is our go-to guy. He operates with integrity and talent. I have referred him to detail oriented family and clients and all have been more than satisfied. He leaves working area cleaner than he found it. I've known him for so long that I trust him to do all repairs when I am away from the house, extremely helpful when you are working.

Oh well he got good reviews but don't waste your time calling him. The phone number is a blind number that he does not answer nor return phone calls. He is in his own words an exclusive referral only plumber meaning he will only talk to you if you get his real number from an existing client, he is not taking new clients. Definitely an interesting business model.

I was contacted by the business owner and asked to remove my review because "he did nothing to me". I've thought about that and I have revised my review to a three star "average" rating. I can't give him a five star because he refused or was unwilling to do any work for me and he's probably right he doesn't deserve a one star just for turning away my business. So my question in return would be why does he allow exposure on public spaces like yelp when he wont take job leads from those sites?

Since our former plumber retired, we have searched for a replacement. We have found one in Scott Smolemsky. In two cases he immediately diagnosed the problem, proposed fixes and carried them out well. Being a one-man show means he cannot always offer immediate service but we never waited long. Highly recommended

I'll add one more to the list of good reviews. Tried him as a result of his Yelp reviews. He returned my call right away and was willing to come out the next day - a Saturday for a clog in the bathroom sink.

Did a nice job and charged a reasonable price. I've got his number stored under plumber in my contacts.

My wife and I just bought a house and had plumbing questions and some repairs that were needed. He showed up on time, and was very helpful with my questions. He didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need, and took care of my problems very easily. He even offered good advice on plumbing issues I was unsure of.

Dealing with an old house, I have been dealing with lots of contractors. He has been the best by far. I wish more more were like him. I am recommending him to my friends for sure.
