Came right away to fix cast iron sewer pipe leak. Thought they might have to cut a hole in bathroom Sheetrock--would have made job more costly for me to repair in the end. They were able to do a workaround and total repair was kept to crawl space Price was reasonable. I recommend them. This was second time I've used them--pleased both times

We just had a new water heater installed. Al did a great job explaining what the best options were & what was best for us. They came back the same day with everything they needed & everything was installed/replaced the way it should be. We are extremely pleased. We have used them about 20 years for our HVAC needs & are on their annual program. They are always prompt and their work is good. We think Smoak's is the best!

Beware deceptive prices! Our heater went out just prior to a batch of cold weather coming through. I've had Smoak's out before and was happy with the service, so I called them again for this issue. On the phone I was told that there was a service fee of $119. Fine. The technician arrived and took a look at the unit. He gave me at least three very different reasons for why the heater wasn't working, ranging from a leak, to an electrical issue, to a bad compressor. Since he couldn't give me an exact answer to what the issue was, I declined to have him make any repairs or add any parts. After not fixing the heater or being able to diagnose the issue, he tried to charge me $381. He said it was because they charge an hourly rate, which had never been explained or quoted. I called the main line, and they said that they had a flat fee or $119 that doesn't change. When I asked why this employee was charging almost three times that, they changed and said that the $119 was a fee """"just to come to the door."""" I've never heard of any company that charges a fee just to park in your driveway. After I said I wouldn't pay that, the technician eventually agree to just charge me $119, which I paid. The technician himself was condescending and short with me when I asked questions. Beware this company and their deceptive pricing and unprofessional employees.

Smoak's was highly recommended to me by my smart buddy who has lived here for years. Very professional guys just installed my replacement HVAC (heat pump + fan unit & coils + thermostats). Two-story house, needed zoning to help even out the temperature between the two floors. Old unit was *old* -- 20 years old ... very fortunate that it lasted this long. Great, professional people to work with. So glad I took advantage of the winter-time pricing -- what a great time this week to have this done! Will continue to have all my HVAC needs addressed by Smoak's.

Been using these folks for a decade for repairs & tune-ups, except when I had an HO warranty as they don't do HO warranty work. They only sell, maintain, & repair Trane A/C Heating units. They have a plumbing dept. as well. Prices are reasonable...maintainance agreements are available which gets you 15% off repairs and priority service. Staff &Technicians are professional, courteous, and dependable. Trane is number one according to Consumer Reports...take it from me ..my Trane unit continues to amaze people as it is 20 years old and I have only had 3 minor repairs.

The technician arrived on time and completed the job. I was STUNNED to find out they they charged me $181 for a $15 part- Titan HD Run Capacitor 35+5, which took less than 5 minutes to install.

Always easy to deal with. Remember that HVAC repairs can be costly. They charge fair prices and never """"nickle and dime"""" you. Been using them for about four years for my home and my Mother's as well. My Fraternal Lodge does as well, never an issue. In fact, they installed two new systems at the Lodge in 2018. And their quote was by far the best for the Trane systems we wanted. No problems that was the result of failure due to materials or labor. Did have to repair when vent pipe cover damaged and debris fell in and caused internal unit damage. Fixed within four hours and did a courtesy check of the other unit and our gas stove. They always set up a time and then call when the technician is on the way. Tell you what is wrong when done and always ready to answer your questions before/at start/end of job. Never had a """"baloney type"""" answer. Commercial or residential . . . they know what to do. Highest recommendation.

We had an outside faucet that was leaking badly and after 4 attempts to contact a plumber, SMOAKS came to the rescue. Our technician, AL AHNER, arrived within 1/2 hour of my original phone call. He was courteous and friendly and efficient! Water is back on and our home is back to normal. It's not fun having the water off for any length of time! Highly recommend SMOAKS and they will be on my 1st to call list.
