This company is amazing. First contact with Sharon is wonderful. She is cheerful and knows how to get things started. She answers phone immediately and returns calls instantly. The plumbers are also great they know their stuff, take the time to do job correctly and are clean and beat. They go above and beyond. Prices also reasonable.

Came back from vacation to find our 25+ yr old hot water tank wasnt heating on its last legs. Unfortunately it was wedged between furnace, wall, and washer/ dryer and behind a couple gas line. Not a good work space by any means. But they were out that day and had the new tank up and running within a few house. Very reasonable

This company is an absolute JOKE! This will now be my second online complaint, however after my last issue was addressed we agreed that I would remove the negative feedback. That will NOT be the case this time. I've had a professional relationship with this J.A. Smith Co since I took over my Hospital in 2015, and while they do get the job done- there is usually a mess that is left for us to clean up after and the servicemen leave something to be desired when it comes to professionalism. Today I have a toilet that just wont flush, seems backed up. I called to schedule a service order, and spoke with the NOT SO LOVELY Sharon (someone please FIRE HER ALREADY! SHE IS A HINDRENCE TO THE GROWTH OF YOUR COMPANY! She was a big part of my problem last time) She expressed to me that they would NOT be handling our financials the same way as they have prior, and that the reason for this was because ONE TIME there was a billing issue with our accounts payable department. I must add the level of enjoyment I heard expel from her mouth was like she waited all year to have this conversation with me.) I told her to cancel our request, that with the competition out there I would find MANY businesses that would be tripping over each other to get my long-standing account. Clearly this company has no regard for client loyalty or understanding when something JUST ONCE fails to work out as planned. Is that the kind of company you want to PAY to do work for YOU!?!!!!??? Not me, and I encourage everyone reading this to SEEK OUT ANY OTHER PLUMBER. In fact, I called a local family owned company called Ehrhardt Brothers Quality Plumbing and they could see me in a sooner time frame and had NO PROBLEM working with my company. Would not recommend. We had a sump pump installed last fall, and it wasn't until spring the next year that we heard it run the first time. When I checked the pipe outside to see the water being pumped, I noticed that it wasn't actually pumping out water. I called the company, and they said that they would charge me a service call to come out and take a look. They obviously don't stand by their work! (Columbia MD)

J A Smith did the plumbing to add a bathroom in the basement of our home. We are so thankful for the service we received. They were professional, polite and punctual. The bathroom is beautiful and we will use them again for any future plumbing needs. As well, we highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality workmanship and qualified staff that is easy to work with.
