We are grateful for your interest in Smith Electric Service. As our name suggests, we are a licensed electrical contractor, and we also provide mechanical, plumbing, and general construction services.
With a history dating back to 1980, our management team has a broad range of experience and versatility in all aspects of construction, service, and maintenance. We take pride in our adaptable and diverse strategies that help us manage complicated projects, across military, institutional, healthcare, commercial, and industrial fields.
Our dedication to exceeding expectations sets Smith Electric and its team apart from competitors. Although he cannot hammer a nail, saw a 2-by-4, or paint, Mark Brannon loves the vibrancy and activity of construction. This love for construction is a family legacy, with the Brannon family owning Smith Electric Service. Therefore, when the 54-year-old Santa Maria man, who has had cerebral palsy since birth, visits the Vocational Training Center, where his family's company is contributing to the new Quality Life Services center, he is in his element.
Smith Electric and Diani Construction are collaborating on this construction project, which represents the latest chapter in a lifetime of support the Brannon family has provided to the organization, as noted by Kirk Spry, the chief executive officer. “I can't express enough gratitude for what the Brannon family does for VTC,” Spry remarked. “They have exceeded simple involvement. The Brannons' connection with VTC began in 1978.

i bought a house in santa maria a few years ago. I got a quote for wiring the garage before i sheetrocked it plus 2 can lights the quote was 3500.00. I called my electrician buddy in northern cal where i moved from I said how much to wire a garage for plugs he said about 450 these guys are way out of line on pricing

Smith Electric was one of the only companies I found in SM that didn't charge to evaluate our furnace & give a quote for their services so right off the bat that's good customer service! The office staff was on top of it with fast scheduling plus they were knowledgeable about the process (from the home visit to getting the detailed quote via email).
I also found their quote to be reasonable given th repair issues with the furnace. We haven't scheduled the work yet since we're just settling in (& it's still summer) but it's on the To Do list so I'll be following up with Smith Electric soon! I'll try to do an update after they perform the services

Every time we've used smith electric the staff is friendly and professional. Highly recommended!

After my heater stopped working I began contacting local businesses to get quotes for installing a replacement. Four calls and several sky-high quotes later, I finally contacted Smith Electric. Jeff came out and told me that he could fix my heater instead of replacing it. None of the other companies offered to do this. He got it up and running in no time flat, for a fraction of the price I would have had to spend. The quote he gave me to install a new heater was also much more reasonable than any of the other quotes I'd been given. Jeff was friendly and professional, and he and Smith Electric saved me thousands of dollars. I will definitely use them in the future.

Super friendly staff and professional! Would definitely continue to use their services for any future need as well would recommend to anyone!
