Unprofessional and overpriced. Thats the reason they have an average 3.5 stars rating. Dare to leave a bad review, they will respond back with lies.

10/10 would recommend!! Just got AC installed yesterday and I am so happy I went with Smith to get the job done! I'd like to give a shout out to Billy R., John H., Luis L., Nick H., and Jade for working so hard yesterday and doing a fantastic job. Everyone is so friendly and professional. Also, thank you to Mike R. for going above and beyond working with me to make this possible and figuring out a personalized plan. Huge projects like this can be overwhelming and stressful but he made it as simple as possible. Thank you to everyone!!

NO SHOW one time and late show one time; and when they did finally show up (after I took 1/2 a day off work), they didn't have the parts with them that the scheduler ASSURED me they would have to fix my water heater; extending our time without hot water to more than 4 days. After their first ""dropping of the ball"" of not showing up until much later than scheduled, and the plumbing parts supplier was then closed, I was given a complimentary ""USA Club"" membership, where I was told I would be a priority customer. The next scheduled appt, they never showed up at all. Being a part of their USA priority membership did nothing to help us get hot water. Finally went with a more reliable plumbing company where they showed up and fixed our hot water heater on the FIRST try. I would NOT recommend Smith's Plumbing and heating for any work.

The Bad: Issues with not doing all the requested work, then saying there would be a service charge to come back and finish the rest (... I specifically looked for some who could do multiple things to avoid multiple trip charges). This was topped off by poor communication that led to issues with billing.

The Good: They did a great job diagnosing and fixing the water leak. All the issues seemed to be in the front office and not with the technician.

Yes, I was rude to your ""call taker"" because I was very upset at having taken time off from work for an appt that was made well in advance. Colo Spgs is a very large city; there was no rain/lightning/storm at my location during the scheduled service time window. I would have thought the service time window would allow for delays so as to avoid complete call-offs. I do not know when the voicemail was left. I do know it did not come from your Smith number. I do not answer unknown callers, and it was pure chance that I even listened to my voicemails. Please remember that your company flat-out refused to service my system last fall, for reasons that were never made clear, and told me to call back this spring. The three years of service calls were a part of my purchase agreement; this would have been the last and you would have been rid of me in any case. Not all of us are fortunate enough to have an endless supply of PTO hours to use to wait for service providers. The least you could offer those who are inconvenienced by your call-offs is to work with their schedules, not yours. I neither expect nor want any response to this clarification, and it will be my last communiqué with your company.

this service had some good reviews and people were praising them. I had one of the plumbers come out to give me an estimate to replace a valve on the outside plumbing line that cracked. He said that two parts needed to be replaced. The quote was $600. I nearly fell down. The part in question is about $90 at home depot. All I wanted was that one part replaced. For $600 is a complete rip off.

I then asked if I would buy the parts then he said with customer supplied parts, the charge would be $250 for the hour.

I know there is inflation but this is a complete and utter rip off. Never going to call them again.

We experienced a pipe burst at the end of December due to freeze and experienced massive water damage over three levels of our home. Since this was a insurance claim project our insurance adjuster required very specific verbiage and estimate information before approving the repairs. Our estimates needed to be done 3x NOT due to fault of Smith but rather because our adjuster was just incredibly difficult and not very communicative. Nathan Pena was our project leader and POC. Throughout the entire process (which spanned 4 months) he was extremely patient and communicative, followed up regularly without being pushy, responded in a timely manner to questions and concerns I had via text. He even answered a call during his family member's wedding festivities! When he wasn't able to answer right away he would send a quick text or email letting me know when he would. This is a small gesture that is greatly appreciated by clients, trust me!

In the end Smith Plumbing completed the following:
-a whole home Repipe project
-added a new water alarm feature to help prevent this from happening in the future
-installed a new sump pump to replace damaged one.
-replaced our water heater and furnace
-retiled our shower and reinstalled our bathtub -completed all drywall work associated with the damage.
There were some items that insurance would not cover and Nathan, understanding that these items were a priority for me but also that money was tight (being that I had to allocate our remaining funds to other aspects of the home repair ) offered me a great financing option so that our project could be completed and the remaining work on the house could get started. All within my budget and with no penalties if paid off early.

Everyone I dealt with at this company from the scheduling staff, to payment processing, team leads, on site technicians...have all been OUTSTANDING!!! You can hear in each person's voice over the phone that they're there to help you and build a long-standing customer relationship based on trust and performance. I appreciated the fact that they also offered a Military discount and guarantee their service on the products they installed. Did I mention that I had to do this all remote from Hawaii?!? Time zone differences, multiple phone calls a day, pictures and emails. I placed my trust in the team at Smith Plumbing and they delivered a first class job and experience. I will continue to place my trust in them for all my plumbing, heating and cooling needs in the future.

Using this company is the first time I have ever felt ripped off by a contractor. Initially called for a furnace tune up in the fall, unit was cleaned out and the technician said all kinds of things were wrong with our unit but in particulr the ignitor was going bad, so we paid to have it replaced.

In the months following the repair, our heat started to have issues turning on, so I called them again to see if they could verify the repair since what was replaced seemed to be related to the issue we were having. I was told that they would check it out but if they couldn't find anything wrong I would be billed for the service call since it was outside the 90 day warranty, fair enough. The next technician came, said the repair was correct, that the furnace was about to fail, and then tried to hard sell us on buying a new furnace from them. I wasn't about to spend several thousand dollars without a second opinion, so I called in another company, and the second company discovered that the wrong ignitor had been installed and said they couldn't find any other issues with the furnace. Once they installed the correct ignitor, the issues with the heat turning on went away, and we have had no issues since.

At best, Smith sent out two people who didn't know what they were doing to work on our furnace and charge us several hundred dollars for unnecessary repairs, I recommend you look elsewhere for work on your furnace unit.

It pains me to write bad reviews, as a business owner myself, I try to give people some grace however I don't want others getting ripped off. They would received one star on this review but we're giving 2, because the very first time we used them they were fantastic. It was all downhill after that. They were insanely overpriced and fixed things that didn't need to be fixed that cost $475 it literally did nothing for the problem. On another job, they quoted over $2000 for replacing parts on our boiler, we had another company do it for $517. The tech also quoted over $5000 for parts and repairs that the other company said we didn't need (the boiler is just over a year old). It felt like all they cared about was squeezing more money out of you, and had no concern on whether they fixed anything. I'm so disappointed, after the 1st appointment I had high hopes!

Y'all send out a flyer offering a deal which I'm sure is used to get your foot in the door. We get it. What we don't get is that you reschedule it not once but TWICE on this flyer deal. Not worth your time? Why do I have to take time off because of your ignorance? And why in the hell was YOUR company van literally sitting in front of my mailbox/house for 20 minutes? And on a reschedule day none the less. What a joke. Definitely not veteran owned. Can't even get them to show so how the hell can you review their ability to actually do their job? If you have an issue with this, contact me.
