Called Smiley Plumbing earlier this week based on previous good experience. Happy with the complete, thorough service. Walt is a very knowledgeable plumber. In addition to resolving the matter that led to my call, he pointed out some other problems that needed attention--was not pushy about it but explained the issues clearly. I knew he was right, and was not just trying to jack up the repair bill. I wish the service was cheaper, but prefer to use professionals who do things well and back their work, so I bite the bullet on price rather than getter lower quality service/parts for a little lower bill.

Walt was quick to get to Mom's house when she had a sewer back up in her home. He was thorough and professional in addressing her terrible event. When I had a leak in my own home that three prior plumbers could not find, I called him and he found it, repaired it and cleaned up after himself. Walt is the best plumber I've ever had the pleasure to have work on any of my homes. I'll never call any other plumber but Walt.

Used Smiley Plumbing to install faucet for me. The plumber Walt took the time to help me pick a good faucet. When he removed the old faucet before installing the new faucet the sink was a mess. Walt took the time to clean like new before installing the new faucet. He also cleaned up after himself and left no mess. He really pays attention to detail and is meticulous with the work he does. Would highly recommend Smiley Plumbing.

This guy (Walt) is a total ripoff. You will same your self time and money if you have your 5 year old do the repairs instead. Great talker but lousy work and WAY WAY TOO expensive.

Buyer Beware!!!! This company and their plumber, Walt, should be utterly ashamed of themselves. They robbed us blind yesterday which was two days after Christmas. I'm disappointed in myself for not doing more research than I normally would, but when sewage water was seeping into our home via the toilets and bath tubs I found myself quite desperate to get the problem resolved. Good 'ole Walt took it upon himself to charge us $600 in labor alone for simply replacing a $20 backwater valve in our sewage line. My husband and I were under the impression that our home warranty would reimburse us, but unfortunately were declined due to the outrageous sum we were charged. DO NOT use this company. Shameful!!!!

Please do not use this company as they seem to thrive on taking advantage of senior citizens. They charged my father-in-law $650 for a new garbage disposal. The old one was a 1/2 HP unit that had lasted him 13 years and Walt came in and sold him a 1 1/2 HP unit which seems to be unreasonable and overkill, but hey Walt wanted his money. While he was doing the repair he told my father-in-law that the drain hose was not hanging properly and needed to be tied up as it was back flowing into the dishwasher and quoted him $250 dollars to fix that, after he was told no he took a zip tie out of his tool box and tied up the hose and said he fixed it for ""free""! Amazing that a 25 cent zip tie can justify a $250 quote.

Unfortunately, I was not here when Wolf of Smiley Plumbing came in yesterday to repair a standard toilet & to drain a 5 year old hot water heater. He replaced most of the internal flushing equipment (about $50 worth at Home Depot) & charged us $400 & gave us a $20 discount because of a coupon. He also charged $200 to hook the hose up to the hot water heater for 1/2 an hour, & gave us a $50 discount on that. He quoted $1,000 for a hot water circulating system for a 2000 sq. ft. home, which we did not have done.
Needless to say, when I found out about the exorbitant price we paid, I contacted Wolf & asked for a partial refund. He denied that since he had already honored a $20 discount coupon, & insisted that this $400 price was within industry standards.
I will do everything in my power to spread my total dis-satisfaction with the advantage he took of a senior citizen in a retirement community.

Well we're sorry that the other reviewers had such a bad experience. We found that Walt Smiley, the owner and master plumber of the business was quite fair. First, we had a sewer line back up at 8:00 p.m.......sadly, the 24/7 promises given in ads in the yellow pages are all false......We tried several companies, including Smiley to come out that evening. Marie said that they could respond at 8:00 a.m. the next morning, that Walt was already out on a job. Next morning Walt showed up at 8:00 a.m. His vehicle looked nice & shiny....professional & clean. He ran the snake through our line with a camera. Tree roots had taken up residence in our line and blocked everything. He gave us quotes first for the work. The line was temporarily cleared and we scheduled an appointment to have it replaced. Walt's words to us was that the front yard would look exactly or better than the way he found it. Days later we had a backhoe/trencher in our front yard and work commenced. Do you all know that a sewer line is at least 8 feet underground? We didn't. We had piles of dirt everywhere and there was no way the yard would ever look the same. Well after working for two days with an assistant, Walt had the line replaced AND the yard did look as good as when he started. My regret is I didn't take any pictures of the whole event. It was amazing. Yes, Walt may have been high in price....don't know....all we know is that the work was done well and we're happy with his service.

beware! stay away from smiley plumbing. my 81 year old mother paid $1000.00 for the owner of this company to fix a clogged drain (ran the cable 2x) , patched a leak and installed a new garbage disposal on saturday afternoon. he returned my phone call and stood his ground that it was a fair charge!! labor was $650.00.!!!!! he said it was a 5 hr charge which included 30 min. travel time. $130 per hour! stay away from smiley plumbing. the only one smiling is the owner all the way to the bank!

Smiley Plumbing has taken care of the plumbing at my house for several years now.
For $7.95/month, I belong to their Diamond Club which includes an annual whole-house inspection, 10% off all repairs, and extended warranties.
They've repaired leaks, replaced under-sink supply lines, installed new heavy-duty clothes washer hoses, replaced anode rods in the water heater, installed a new garbage disposal, replaced the water control valve in a shower, changed several outside hose bibs, and installed a toilet.
They are meticulous and take great pride in their work; the quality is exceptional.
