we had smelscer plumbing install two 50 gallon water heaters in 2018, one upstairs & one downstairs @ $750 each, with a 6 year warranty. within 1 year the water coming from the upstairs one smelled awful - like rotten eggs. they drained it and charged us another $200. now the upstairs water heater had cost us $950. within 3 years (of a 6 year warranty), the upstairs water heater quit working. they said it had to be replaced (under warranty) & said the labor to install it would be $600, meaning the upstairs water heater now cost $1550. also, even though they were installing a new water heater, they would only honor the 3 year warranty left on the faulty water heater. what should they have done? they should have gone back to the company and negociated (on behalf of their client - us) a new water heater with a 6 year warranty, and negociated with the company to pay the $600 installation fee. they do not back up their clients!!! avoid this company!!!

They sent 2 guys out to snake a kitchen sink clog after I trouble shot for them and even opened the clean out for them. They were here less than 30 min, charged me $175. No masks, no call before coming as promised. Clean out cap didn't fit when they were done (it was not the right one, but fit fine before), and didn't have a cap on the truck. Never again.

I've used Smelscer Plumbing twice now. They have a receptionist that works long hours, meaning I could call after I got off work. They have followed up when they said they would (I was wondering if crews were working Black Friday, she said she would need to confirm availability then call me back). The plumbers that have come were punctual or early, quickly diagnosed the problem and completed the work in a timely manner. Definitely will be calling them back if I need work done again in the future!

I had a slab leak diagnosed after having the front corner of my house leveled. I decided to go with Smelscers because of their great reviews on Angie's List, they were a family owned business that had been around for many years, and not having my slab jack hammered up was very appealing. After getting in touch with Curtis who I was told is the only plumber who does the perma-liner plumbing, told me my repair would be a 2 day job; the 1st day to locate the leak or leaks, and the 2nd day to make the repair. This turned into a 4 day job that spanned a period of 24 days from start to finish. Quotes and commitments were not honored, my job kept getting put behind other customer repairs, and I ultimately had to call the company to get the final leak test done; something that wasn't going to be performed until I insisted. I also had an Angie's List coupon that required a call to the owner to get honored as well. Integrity was something I was really expecting with this company with their long history of being in business along with their many positive reviews. Unfortunately my experience did not reflect that. I truly hope the quality of their perma-liner repair proves to be much better than the quality of the customer service I received. If I ever decided to trust this company again, I'm afraid everything would have to be in writing; no more verbal agreements. My total cost with 5% off coupon was $2375 for 5 hours of plumbing service.

By far the best plumbing service I've ever used. Scheduled my appointment quickly. Arrived timely, worked diligently to solve my problem, took time to explain what he was doing and was extremely courteous throughout his visit. Can't say enough to reflect the truly outstanding service I received. Price also very reasonable. Will definitely be a return customer for any future plumbing needs. Would not even consider using another company. Will definitely recommend to friends and family without hesitation.

Complete fraud. I scheduled for an inspection never mentioned the $142 service charge. Plumber showed up to the location only to say it will cost 3x times more and would need to come back with two guys. All that he did was open an access panel that was already there, 20 minutes and charged $142. Practically robbed, never ever use this company. They did not disclose their price until getting there and then demanding. Unprofessional and just plain wrong

This is a fantastic company. The plumber came to the house and diagnosed the problem we were having and told us if we went to a plumbing supply store and picked up what he suggested, that we could easily fix the problem ourselves and he wouldn't charge us a service call. And if this didn't fix the problem, to call him back and he would come back out and fix it. Saved us a lot of money and he was dead on about the problem and I had it fixed in 10 minutes once I got the part I needed. I HIGHLY recommend this company, don't bother calling anyone else!!

Here is a REAL positive review for this company--I live in Woodway and not all my other reviews are about Colorado. Mystery leak in house. The receptionist/dispatcher was friendly and said she would try to get someone to my house that day, and she did. The plumber showed up when he said he would, he used a high tech camera and found the leak in the wall and he fixed it same day. He was honest and had skills. Why not 5 stars? His truck wasn't stocked with a 1/2 inch straight pipe coupling, which is pretty much the most common coupling in existence, and so he had to go back to the store and buy it. And that took about 40 minutes; then he couldn't get something else he wanted and so couldn't accomplish that. All while the meter is running. He and his assistant are costing over $100 an hour--so a better stocked van would have saved me some money. But $250 was cool, it could have been much worse. Or a little better. I will use them again with no hesistation.

What a great company. We called another company first and did not have a good experience. Thank goodness we called Smelscer. Curtis came out and was very honest and knowledgeable. He was great to deal with and we will call again if we have any other problems.

We had a fabulous experience with Smelscer Plumbing. Another company came out multiple times without properly diagnosing the problem, and quoting us a ridiculous amount of money to complete the work when they finally did diagnose the problem.

We called Smelscer to come out for a second opinion. Brett was so kind and easy to work with. He explained what needed to be done and treated me with the greatest respect. Also, the bid was much more reasonable than the previous company. They were here a couple of days later to get us fixed up, which they did with a very professional nature and all in one day. We will definitely be calling them again when we have another occurence.
