Called about line inspection for relining main drain, service technician was good. Checked line, no relining required and had tree roots cleaned out and received bid to replace that part of the line. Ran the camera in the line & didn't get a recording of it at the time. As their equipment isnt able to record at all. Asked them to rescope the line for recording purposes as different plumber says lines need replaced. Answer was same price as clearing tree roots/service call... Didn't have problem with paying for service call $$ But really going to charge for line cleaning twice and just needed to get recording of the line... Business is Not BBB ... Waited until after 9pm the night before appt to let me know of pricing as informed earlier there would be no charge for camera of the lines again , so I could record it. Customer service is well ???? $$$$

Smedley, a new company seeking to expand its capacity and growth, has the potential to improve its customer care.

Smedley promptly arrived at our home and inspected our 5-year-old leaking water heater, which we had purchased from a big-box store. We were informed that the heater was beyond repair and was offered to replace it with a commercial-grade model that came with a longer warranty offered by Smedley Plumbing. We accepted their offer.

A few days later, a single technician arrived with the new water heater. Despite the arduous task of carrying the old unit up the stairs and delivering the new unit to the basement, he managed to accomplish it alone, assisted only by a hand truck. His installation of the new water heater was well designed and flawlessly installed.

My primary concern is that we are accustomed to contractors preparing our property to avoid potential damage. This isn't usually a problem because we've never had a contractor who didn't show care and respect for our belongings by wearing special shoe coverings or covering work areas to prevent damage. In my opinion, equipping installers with a more comprehensive guidance and protective equipment would be beneficial as part of their business practices.

I'm afraid we had to call someone to fix their errors (they cut some corners), after repeated attempts to get them to make things right. We ended up spending more than expected to get my aunt's house in order, but I guess it was worth it to not have to deal with Smedley Plumbing any further.

The Smedley team did and awesome job with my plumbing. Not only did they come on a moments notice they completed the job days ahead of schedule. The owner even took the time to come by and see the work after it was completed. He returned a few days later doing tasks that were outside of the original scope with no added charge. Talk about going above and beyond!!!

Great company - trustworthy and service technician (Spencer) professional and knowledgeable. What I thought was a small leak turned out to be a bigger issue, but Spencer was able to explain the things that needed to be done and schedule the work in a timely manner. Will definitely use Smedley Plumbing again, when the need arises.

Very punctual and notified us via text when to expect them for the appointment. Service was friendly and to the point. They explained the issue with our tub spout and was able to fix it there on the spot. Luckily it was a minor issue, and it was fixed within the hour. Will use them going forward for small and large plumbing jobs.
